In Performance mode, Control: Ultimate Edition on PS5 is running at a largely stable 60 frames per second, with minor drops during taxing scenes. In Graphics mode, the game runs at 30 frames per second with ray tracing on and improved visual effects.

Performance was largely stable in this mode too. The game tops at 1440p resolution with upscaling to 4K.



- PS5 and Series X tuns at 2560x1440p. - The framerate runs mostly stable on both platforms, although some more drops in Series X. - Ray-tracing more limited on consoles compared to PC. In some highlights there are fewer elements on PS5 anecdotally. Despite this, it is the best RT we currently have on consoles. - The input lag in graphics mode is higher than in Oldgen versions. Quite annoying. - Reflections without ray-tracing suffer from issues with the character model. This did not happen in the Oldgen versions. - There is a bug that causes a desynchronization in the animation of the protagonist when running. - The Xbox version still has some freezing problems when pausing the game or accessing the map. - PS5 has a too dark tone, which forces to increase the brightness to obtain a similar result to the other versions.

Am I blind or is graphics mode just not worth losing the 2x framerate? To date I have never seen (or played) a game where I was visually blown away enough to lose the framerate advantage and feel of 60fps. I'm a console only gamer and now understand what the PC elitists have been saying for decades.

More proof DF should've investigated why ps5 hitman runs at a lower resolution than series x. Its clear its not any hardware deficiency.

I guess they spent too much time on the series x version and it's 'awful tools' and compiled at at the last minute on ps5 with little extra work done.

More proof DF should've investigated why ps5 hitman runs at a lower resolution than series x. Its clear its not any hardware deficiency.

I guess they spent too much time on the series x version and it's 'awful tools' and compiled at at the last minute on ps5 with little extra work done.
Or this game was a quickly port of the pc version to the series x since it is the exact same size and the ps5 got all the developers attention using the ps5 features.

yap, all clues pointing that SX is very much the same pc version with lower presets.

tbf to remedy, this has always been the aim for Xbox/PC development going forward.

Are you seriously saying they included, for no reason, all the pc textures for 'ultra' and 'high' on series x just for fun?

It is far more likely they used the xbox one version as a base which happens to also be the same size, and increased the resolution and turned on rt.

But I get it, another loss, however slight, so let's make some stupid claims as they always stick because the xbox fan base is militant and lap up all these lame excuses as though they were carved in stone and read by moses.

Well there it is, worse Raytracing on PS5.
Considered they even care to test the last update mmm could be easily simply to be a glitch. There is a part in the video some where which show such difference? Wait gaming bolt and the analist are the source? This people has no clue of what they are talking about most of the times, will see I guess.

You again, any time there is advantage for Series X you come in with some sort of excuse. It's funny cos everyone else has glossed over this advantage and has fixated on a 1 or 2 fps advantage for the PS5 lol. Another win apparently 🤔

I'd like to have some clear evidence of tech stuff, why you feel irritate every time about obvious question? It's that tough to understand or we are starting to draw tech conclusion like you just for personal perception? The fuck it's the point of such conversation lol.

Maybe they should also investigate why Control UE has the same Resolution on SeriesX as on PS5...
Seems to be a very lackluster port all around...

It's in the OP go read it, I certainly didn't write. It's irrelevant just like the FPS advantage is irrelevant. Both versions are for all intents and purposes are identical, I just thought it was funny how no one else has mentioned it.

Probably because it's a wrong assumption knowing such YouTube channel and their "competence". They are not new to extrapolate bizzarre conclusions without any tech evidence. Or you can put a screenshot or to show the video part who proved it, indeed to believe blindly whatever advantage on series X it's always an undisputable truth

Because he likes to have a bit fun and we take too seriously such argument. Series X is always superior, chill bro and get the fun.
Speaking which I have noticed the exact contrary in the El analist video. In the final part there is a metal basket which doesn't reflect correctly the main character on series X or seems lower resolution compared the ps5/pc. Can someone get a comparison capture? I can't unfortunately. It's just a single spot but it's curious.

The difference is noticeable in this game when playing it.

Most disappointing is that the next generation consoles couldn't even run 1440p on all low settings, they had to create some new ultra low settings to hit 60 vanilla or 30 RT, where the RT only runs 1 effect (reflections) and is lower than pc low in every metric (reflection resolution, # bounces, lod, etc).
