The state of that top 5. Probably been like that in some form or another for the past ten years and will be for another twenty.

I know it's peanuts but want to know what uptake on xbox all access looks like apart from the fact it generally OOS.

Wow spiderman is far and away Sony’s biggest franchise in the UK.(We Know for a fact Miles Morales is limited by PS5 stock)

Can we all collectively point and laugh at Activision for bungling the franchise for all those years!?

The rest of Sony's games are about the same level with the Last of us 2 with a slight lead.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Digital people keep that chart for when physical people come back with how their collections are better 😂

Assuming 30% digital for Swich (im being generous), lets say the total sales for AC is 1,053,695. So #4 to be more precise.
Quick correction, it'd be 1.158 million. And why is 30% digital generous? Nintendo confirmed 50% digital back in May, and that was including Japan which usually has around 20% digital ratio.

Because Nintendo tends to not disclose their digital ratio leads me to believe that its not that impressive. Also, Looking at the digital split of PS4's largest games in the chart its around 35 to 30 percent. And we all know that Sony's online presence is much more advance than Nintendo's.

* thanks for the correction

like i said in that other thread , UK is sony land
Like I said in that other thread, it is not completely true.

UK is / used to be EUs xbox land aka about the only place on EU where xbox were popular / more popular than playstation.'

So, saying "uk is sony land" is false, because it sounds like you are trying to claim that UK is somehow "more" sony land than other areas, while in fact UK is more xbox land than other (European) countries.

Which leads into this: if the biggest xbox land on EU shows how easily PS5 beats xbox -> real sony lands must be super massacre level of numbers favoring PS5.

Here at Finland series S is available on stores since the launch, not in all stores but basically in any major city/town, just walk in and buy them. Same with Switch, available on stores since the launch, never sold out it seems.

And PS5 is super difficult to get, some stores still have pre-orders to fill.

So, PS5 is supply constrained and xbox is only halfly, because series s have been available on multiple countries aka it doesnt even sell out. Numbers would be even higher for sony if they would have more consoles to sell, unlike for xbox (series x is still mainly sold out, but not as badly as ps5)

Always fun to see how PS5 progresses over Xbox weekly.

Then you look at the cumulative country-by-country hardware sales and realize that things aren't as bad as Sony fanboys peddle.

TLOU2 outsold Ghost of Tsushima big time
Yup. Yet you still have the TLOU2 haters acting like Ghost of Tsushima caught up or passed TLOU2 in sales. They never have a source they just pull that out of their ass despite every actual source clearly showing otherwise. It wasn't close in the UK, TLOU2 was higher in the yearly NPD chart and it was higher in the PS Store digital charts.

Tlou2 sales isnt surprising since sony are practically giving it away. I imagine it will be on psn+ in next couple of months without any upgrade.

Thanks for that do you have all time sales for older consoles?

As of June 2013. X360 was around 8.4 mil. Similar like the Wii back then. There was an article that X360 will overtake Wii.
PS3 sold over 5 mil. as of Oct. 2012.

For Wii U didn't found any data.

Sony is actually increasing its lead compared to PS4 / XB1 gen.

For now looks like it

That's more than I expected from PS5 and less than I think the Series S will end up being.

The digital PS5 is a compromise - if you only buy digital and know you're never going to want a disc in it, you'll accept those limitations and save some cash. The second these things are on shelf, I would suspect most people will go for the disc edition, just because its not much more and the option is nice.

The Series S is the casual machine. Casuals don't buy brand new consoles at launch, but I expect MS to start pushing out a few more than the Series X come the holidays.

It's really interesting to see how these two machines are doing in the early days of the gen.

Thanks do you know the PS2 sales? Last question

10 million

SpiderMan is one of the biggest franchises in the World, period. SIE has to thank it's lucky stars that the Movie division got those movie rights and could get the games thrown in as a sweetener in their MCU deal with Disney.

True but you still have to make a game that people want.

Activison farted around for 2 decades and didn't do anything with the franchise

2018 spiderman had a bigger opening month than all previous spiderman games combined since 1995

UK is pretty competitive, it's the least "company" land of any of the major markets in Europe

That would be about right for any other year, but in 2020 Nintendo saw a huge surge in digital share from the lockdowns
