Big butts in games. Will it last? Or meet the same fate as big boobs and pretty faces?

Women also like big butts so I think we're good.
Well, bisexual and gay women also like cute faces and big boobs but the Twitter/Era/Kotaku-esque puritans have managed to screw them over with those, too.

All just to get at that damn blasted "male gaze". Ironic that the puritans value straight males in that regard over lesbian & bisexual women, they're reinforcing "the patriarchy" and don't even know it :pie_roffles:

Going by Control and The Medium, assinigrated.

The girl in The Medium has a nice butt tbh

Is that so... I admit to have not paid too much attention to what you wrote and I had just woke up... I beg your forgiveness.
No worries it's all good, I honestly think you're right though.

Were big butts ever a thing? Cause other than Street fighter I can't think of a game where a female character has an actual dumptruck.

There is a trend towards less in your face sexyness. You see it in the most iconic female gaming character: Modern Lara Croft is way less sexualized for example.

Also, I'll never forget what they did to Chloe from Uncharted. They needed her ass after the perfect UC3 mp model. These monsters.

Cyberpunk has some great asses though. So there's hope.

Funnily enough I'd say that Lara in the first reboot game was the most sexualized.
Original Lara was never very sexualized to begin with... She wore freaking shorts I mean cmon and the graphics were so bad.

Lara looked more like a real supermodel in the 2013 game than she ever has and even a lot of the violent depictions were weirdly '' pretty ''.
And then there's the weird sexual violence implications and the fact that porn surrounding Tomb Raider ramped up like crazy.
People act like just because her breasts were smaller and she didn't show midriff or uh, knees anymore that she wasn't sexualized anymore.
Like did no one watch the trailers or play the game?

OG Lara Croft was way more independent and didn't get into situations where guys were basically trying to assault her etc and she wasn't an emotional wreck with daddy issues.

Edit: Even with other depictions in previous games before the reboot they still made sense.
Is it really '' sexualized '' that she wears a swimsuit when she's swimming?

If anything I find the new Lara perpetually wearing makeup even with the '' muh realism '' and how she gets constantly injured in ways that would kill or disable a person for life and walks it off perfectly fine to be more sexualized.
Lara should look like Quasimodo at this point but she still looks like a model.
And even when she gets dirty and beaten up there's like this odd attractiveness to it often times where she has like a streak of red blood on her lips and a semi-open mouth and the rest of her is unscathed.

Video game developers are purposely lowering the bar and putting ugly characters in so they can have a chance compared to face models.

I imagine a female modeller looking at the protagonist and Sabatoging it so they can feel superior, insecure fucks. Or if it’s a dude modeller he is some fat fuck with pink hair and speaking all queer like and part of some SJW cult and ruining pretty faces on purpose. This is why we can’t have nice things.

If you want attractive faces in video games you have to look to South Korea or Japan, where all this politics are non existent and the games are actually good.

Not even a topic - big butt's are in and wont fade away for a long time. Everyone loves a big phat ass.
In the real world, yes, but this is gaming and then the modern audience screaming on Twitter is setting the rules.

I can say that I was insanely surprised to see such a fine derriere on display in the Avengers game that just popped up on Gamepass, I’m almost ready to forgive the devs for not using Scarlett Johansson as the model for the game, almost.

I hope not. I like my women more regular looking but it pisses me off this stuff is being censored for people who like it.
