Horizon 2 started development in 2017. Shit was already set in stone back then, and making the game exclusive now would just be making it exclusive for the sake of it.

GOW hasn't been confirmed to be crossgen
When an interviewier ask you if the sequel of your most important game in the past gen is crossgen and you answer like jimbo answered, it's 99% confirmed that that game is gonna be crossgen.

And for horizon, did i choose when to start making the game?! Again, i don't care about the logistic, i only care about the final results, and the results are fucking in the ass who was expecting full next gen sequels for those games.

I kinda get your point, but can you try to understand mine?!

No it doesn't. Standard PR crap is your standard PR crap

Well, get over it. That's the reality of game development. You were never going to get an Horizon sequel built completely for next gen whether it was Jim, or Andrew at the top.

Dude, do you really think that in 2017 there wasn't an hardware roughly similar to ps5 where to code the game?! they decided to create the game crossgen, they were not forced unless you think that in 2017 there was no 10tf gpu\similar ryzen cpu\similar ssd on the market for a giant company like sony? cmon.
(ok maybe the ssd were slower in 2017, but sure as shit they were 1000x times better than an ancient 5400rps hard disk)

If that was the case, why bluepoint, insomniac and maybe even santa monica (if i'm wrong, and believe me, i hope i'm wrong) can actually develop full next gen games? do you think they started making the new gow or ratchet in 2020? no, probably started around the same period guerrilla started working on the horizon sequel.

we can spin this discussion all we want, maybe you are right, maybe i'm right, doesn't mean that i can't be pissed off with this crossgen story, so no, i'm not getting over it, especially in a videogame forum where i like to discuss stuff like this, both good and bad news.
