As we have already seen since the beginning of January, this 2021 presents a very exciting battle between PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, which are distributing the number 1 of sales depending on the Sony consoles that manage to reach the stores, since it is still totally sold out and sells all its stock every week. On this occasion, PS5 sold 5,700 units (4,300 with disc player, 1,400 digital), Nintendo Switch 3,950 units, Xbox Series X 850, Xbox Series S 850, PS4 800 units and Xbox One 100 units.

Phil took the shipments from Spain and sent them to India, there are more than 1.3 billion there so if you capture even just 10% of the population (And why wouldn't you with how great GamePass+Series S is) then that's more than 100 million new users. Remember Microsoft target is the 2 billion players (or was it 4?) not the couple hundreds million Sony and Nintendo scraping for.

Checked one their major rataillers and at least the S seems to be fully stocked.... the series X seems to be a bit more spot on, but judging by portuguese market where some retailers claim to have 4 to 6 weeks delivery time but actually deliver in a matter of days, there should be some stock avaible but for whatever reason MS doesn`t want to disclose it.

Both PS4 and PS5 are selling every console they produce....PS4 is selling out in India...It's crazy out there......Let's be honest, it's been a while since you could get a PS4 for $299 on Amazon, even DS4 controllers are hard to get at MSRP....Sony is selling out quickly at MSRP for both new gen and old gen consoles, it's crazy how hungry people are for PS consoles....
I guess all those great PSN games and the 20 games PS5 Plus owners got for free and the 10+ free games they just got for free since March 19th helps, because they won't be short of games to play......People will buy VR hardware too because we just got a tonne of the best VR software for free last week as well....

It's Spain dude. Spain has long been dominated by Playstation.... At least compared to Xbox anyway.
Last time I checked, Spain didn't = Everywhere except the US. If these numbers remained all gen long (assuming 8 yrs), Sony wouldn't even outsell the XBS by a million there.

Most of Europe leans PlayStation over Xbox. Not really shocked to see these numbers out of Spain. I am curious to know if both consoles remain sold out or if Xbox is readily available there. If it is then I think it's safe to say that this is another generation for PlayStation in Spain. If it isn't, then this would clearly be an issue of Microsoft not supplying many consoles there and for obvious reasons. But at the end of the day you can't see 10,850 versus 975 and not think that no matter what Spain isn't all that interested in Xbox.
