PC gaming can really be infuriating.....

I "pc game" since 1997 and generally all the issues may seem "easy or non existent" to us since we grew with windows 95, dos and so on.

I never entertained Windows 95 back in the day. I used to game on Windows NT Workstation 4.0. It was the best operating system bar none at the time, rock solid, no messing about with janky DOS underpinnings and my PC running it rewarded me with countless hours of seamless gaming fun.

I stayed on 98 for way too long since I did not want to give up native dos hehe

To be fair EA did you a real favor not letting you activate Alice, Madness Returns. It's hands down one of the worst games I've ever played, and I've played Persona 5. It starts off well. It looks purty and everything but it doesn't take too long before you realize that it controls like shit, there's no real change in gameplay and it's so badly designed every death feels cheap as fuck. It's the only game, apart from Persona 5, that I've hate finished. I refused to let the cheap bosses, shitty physics and bad levels beat me. The guy who developed it should be forced to watch Persona 5's cut scenes for the rest of his life
Just curious, what games do you like?
i always feel sorry when i see coments like these. Because i know thats a person who fancies himself a gamer, yet missed out on the platform that always had the best games, that forged nearly every genre we play today and has the best inputs to play games. I know that person is a gamer who barelly scratched the surface of gaming. Damn shame
The fact you say you feel sorry for someone and then talk about how you obviously have more knowledge makes me feel sorry for you since you think you are better then others because you play on pc.

This is the low effort pcmr bullshit I expect from these threads.

-Then there are all the hardware issues and problems. I use computers my whole life and I grew to hate them despite still buying the latest gear (it's a love/hate relationship :p ) For examplke, x570 launch was a disaster. I had to exchange motherboards and install new bios every week... and only now pc boots as fast as it did on 2500k in 2012.
Heh, it's funny that you mention launch issues with X570 and reference it with another platform that had launch issues, Sandy Bridge and the Intel 6 series boards (like P67 and H67), which had to be recalled. The Intel Chipset Design Error, which would cause the SATA ports to degrade over time, impacting performance/functionality.

https://www.anandtech.com/show/4142/intel-discovers-bug-in-6series-chipset-begins-recall

I haven't had issues with my X570 board, but I waited a bit to buy one. I did the same back in 2011 and waited until after the recall was over/fixed boards were out before I bought a P67 board and 2600K.

I agree with your post, I just thought that it was funny.

I only have a gaming laptop but the few times I've tried to play there's often some annoying setting that's changed or reason it won't boot.

I'd never game on PC full-time.

I've been playing mostly on PS5/Switch these past few months, but I always come back for some sweet PC gaming and this was the weekend to do so and catch up on some older games from my backlog. Boy, did this not go as planned:

Alice 2: Madness Returns
Couldn't even get past the activation phase. It requires an EA account but my Origin one doesn't work. Then it asks for the product key but it says my PC is offline before I can enter it. Looking at the steam forum I'm not alone...I'm sure there's a fix around or I could just crack it, but I kinda gave up for now, let's move on to something else....

Dragon Age 2
Surprisingly it works, but there's some sort of weird visual glitch where scenery in the distance and blood on the ground and my character disappears and reappears, pretty distracting. I thought I solved it playing with the settings but it's still there. Gotta hunt for a fix later, but all that tweaking took me out of the mood for now. Let's see what else there is to play.

American Truck Sim
The game itself works great as always but.....I installed it again after a few months and my juicy 50 hour save......is gone. I didn't bother backing it up locally because it was supposed to be on the steam cloud, but it's not......Yay. Not starting up again from scratch, let's move on.

Metal Gear Rising
What could possibly go wrong here? It seems to run great at first, yet something feels really off, the camera is very jerky. For whatever reason it caps at 59fps instead of 60. Sounds like something minor, but boy does it feel fucking annoying. Again I'm not alone looking at the steam forums. I tried locking it in Nvidia control panel with no luck, not sure I can be bothered any further, it seems to be a bug that doesn't happen to everyone, goodbye for now.

Sebastian Loeb Rally
Had tons of stuttering at first. Fixed it by disabling in-game Vsync and enabling it from nVidia control panel. Good so far, but yet another issue arises. The game seems to have problems with input devices. Half the times I start the game up, the controller doesn't work during races. Need to close the game and start it again hoping it will work this time. About 50 /50 chances I'd say. looking around, it seems you need to disable as many input devices on your PC as you can....Yeah, as if.

Jade Empire
Old release, I was expecting issues but it's much worse. The game downright doesn't start. Apparently the default .exe steam uses is wrong and you need to run it from inside the game folder from a different .exe. Whatever, I've seen worse today. Game rans at 60fps, yet it feels like 15, completely unplayable. Looking around once again, of course it's not just me. I found several fixes I had to apply to the .ini file but nothing worked for me. After an hour I gave up.

Sunset Overdrive
You can imagine I was pretty pissed at this point so I thought I'd go with a recent game with an even more recent PC port. Surely this will work? The game greets me with a screen saying my save is corrupted...yet it's my first time installing it, what save? "Let's move on" I said. Created a new save file and it runs great at 60fps maxed out and I find myself having a good time, finally. 15 minutes later it crashes. "Surely it's just a coincidence" I thought as I started it back up. Again greeted by a screen about a corrupted save, though my save is there and it works. 10 minutes later crashes again. I found an alleged fix on the steam forum, yet I don't even have the energy to try it at this point.

This isn't an exaggeration for comedic effect, this truly happened today. I've lost 5 hours of my weekend doing nothing, so you realise I had to vent. I'm not looking for fixes in the replies, I'm sure they are out there but I can't even be bothered at this point. I think the most infuriating part is thinking of people on forums like this, saying how everything just works on PC these days. SOME stuff might, but wer'e not quite there yet. I'm sure there'll be the usual "it's your PC dude the games are fine" and to be fair my gaming PC is getting pretty old, but most of the above issues are game specific as they seem to be shared by many people. There are several games I don't have any issues with, but having to roll dice every time you buy something is just wrong.

Anyway, if you made it this far into this rant thanks and I hope you had better luck than me today.
I remember living with my room mate for 2 years, he had a gaming pc was a decent one of that, what was mine was his but id play on his pc from time to time and with what op said is mainly what put me off having one, 60fps and over is fine but im also cool with 30fps on my shitty xbox one, doesnt bother me and mods, man mods really dont make that much of a difference that some pc gamers like to make put, yeah there is some great addons but overrall the game is still the same (i do miss mods that add extra quests and what not) but even getting mods to work is a pain, im happy being a console scrub for the rest of my life even though i get an urge from time to time and want to play age of empires and starcraft 2 though

Nope its not that easy.

It is. My friend is lovely but absolutely useless when it comes to all forms of tech, like he can't do anything without asking me, but he managed to buy a prebuilt and install World of Warcraft and play it without issue, if he can do it, anyone can. Considering prebuilts come with Windows installed (which is super easy to install yourself), all you have to do is Google search Steam/Battle Net/EGS etc and click download, if you can't do that it says more about you than PC gaming.

I just modded my Final Fantasy X game so I can use japanese voices instead of english ones, if I didn't have the possibility, I would definitely skip the game (I'm not native english speaker and it sounds very off to me). I've done this to other games where I can only pick a single language for voices and text altogether so I can't imagine playing JRPGs where they only left me english voices as choice on consoles and being happy with it.

Regarding the problems on PC, I've only had them like once in a century, or at least a problem that prevented me from actually playing a game, I don't update drivers till I know they're safe and won't break things and most of the time I decided not to play something was mostly due to language switching impossibilities or things like that but the games always running well.

Are you sure you're not cursed or something, OP?

I feel you, it can certainly have it's moments. If it ever gets to be too much, well, only you can decide whether the wild and crazy hot chick is worth putting up with all of her emotional baggage or if you'd rather stick with the homely, even-keeled girl for a more stable relationship.

How come the PC is the biggest gaming platform in the world then, outside mobile ? Since its so ripe with issues and you need to be a rocket scientist to handle it ? Couldnt it be that the issues arent in fact that prevalent ? And for every person who somehow only has issues there are 100 thousand who dont have issues ?

Thankfully I manage to balance both at the moment. I used to be PC only, but that's not the ideal setup for me any longer. Consoles to get away from the frustrations of PC gaming, PC gaming to get away from the limitations of console gaming. Usually it works fine other than the occasional bad day where everything falls apart, much like the one that prompted the creation of this thread.

It's ok, we still like you.

It is okay if you use it all the time.

I can turn on my MegaDrive after 2 months without using it, I won't have to deal with a ton of software, game and driver updates (that sometimes won't even trigger automatically).

There is demonstrably nothing like what you're saying. If you turn on your pc in 2 months there is, factually, demonstrably not "a ton" of anything to do. Whenever this exaggerations come up in such a console obsessed forum as this one you cant help but think its in bad faith or people who dont even own a computer. You dont have to deal with software, nor drivers in 2 months. And unless its a new game, there arent any updates. And if there are, they will be on consoles as well, but 10 times slower

The 360/PS3 era was kinda rough for PC. All of those games had to ported from ground up since the 360/PS3 and PC all had different architecture. A lot of those games just aren't programmed well, don't have modern resolutions or high frame rate, crash or have some kind of glitches. The exception being pretty much anything from Ubisoft. For whatever reason, they were super forward thinking and even games like Assassin's Creed 1 supports 1440p, 4k and high frame rates. It looks great even to this day.

Other than that, I honestly don't experience any issues. I played and beat a ton of games last year on PC and never had a single crash or weird issue. It's not like the old days anymore where you have to worry about drivers or compatibility. Things just work. If it doesn't work, it's likely a programming problem and the same thing can and does happen on consoles. I've honestly had more crashes and freezes on console than I've had on PC in recent years.

I think OP is just dealing with some older games and few older DRM issues that most developers have learned their lessons from and don't use anymore. I keep a 360 around and connected to my PC monitor specifically for older games that might have problems or are just more trouble than they are worth to get running on a modern PC.
This is an important point. Homeboy was even playing games from the OG Xbox era. He refused to divulge his specs or receive assistance troubleshooting, and feels his time is better spent here complaining about the platform.

Verdict: Busted

This is a console gaming forum first and foremost. Even the PC gamers here will generally own at least one console.

PC gaming is easy if you are not a complete retard.

Whenever i hear console gamers complain about something, i always wonder how they even manage to play on a console. Oh wait i just put my console above my tv screen, but it doesn't work? did you connect the power cable? oh wait i forgot, wow this is so complex, my gameboy didn't had this issue.

It's always logic like that.

I try PC gaming once every 2 years and it is always pure shit like this. When you explain it to people, they tend to tell you that it is your fault because PC IS AWESOME LOLZ.

1) i download valheim and installed it, zero issue's.
2) i downloaded smite and installed it, zero issue's.
3) I downloaded the medium and installed it zero issue's.
4) i downloaded control installed it zero issue's.
5) i downloaded riftbreaker installed it zero issue's
6) i downloaded guild wars 2 installed it zero issue's.
7) i downloaded eso installed it zero issue's.
8) i downloaded wow classic, installed it zero issue's.
9) i downloaded doom installed it, zero issue's.
10) i downloaded rime installed it zero issue's.
11) i downloaded witcher 3 installed it zero issue's.

1000's of hours of gameplay later

All PC issue's in older game are solved in 5 minutes of googling and u are good to go and even with enhanced solutions u won't ever find on consoles.

Console games, are shit, stay shit and nothing u can do about it.

For example, i play elder scrolls online. Guess what the newbie guild i sit in is constantly doing? helping refugee's from consoles because there experience is so bad without mods, its like a world of difference on PC.

See, I had predicted it.

You havent predicted nothing. This is a sensible response for bullshit and lying posts that are trying to portray gaming on pc as something that its not. The horseshit spewed in this thread NEVER existed. You know how people sometimes say, hey, this isnt 2005 anymore. But the factual truth is, it wasnt like this in 2005 either. You bought or dowloaded your game and you installed it. And then you played it. It wasnt the automation steam provides now, but other than an ocassional gpu driver update, you had had nothing to do for the majority of the time. Sure, now and then something didnt work. Thats hardly the norm

5 minutes
That's the time lost starting your PC game to see it crash without any explanation for the first time. After 5 minutes, you barely know the problem you have. Of course, you are going to launch the game a couple more time, just to see...

And these 5 minutes only occur after potentially several hours of updating Steam and Games, if you haven't played in one or two years and have my internet connection.

So I already lost something like 2 hours getting updated to see the games crash. That's when I start looking stuff on google, and realize "Ah shit, I have to update my drivers, this is a PC after all !"

Then you go to Device Management and search for "Update driver" but it never finds anything automatically. So you search for whatever tools you might have that are supposed to handle this for you (as a ton of stuff is always installed) but haven't for no clear reason, and you install them. 1 hour later, shit is installed but the games are still crashing. Oh noes....

That's because what was automatically installed is not good. Did you even think about updating the software that checks your driver's statuses ? PC can be so meta. Still does not work anyway.

So you search for your Graphics Card brand. WTF is it already ? Can't remember. Why would I even want to know this... Ah yes, it was written in Device Management. Now time to search the internet.

Which website is the right one ? This one ? They don't have a support or download page. Probably because it is hidden somewhere. My PC is old, where are the downloads for me ? Hidden somewhere in legacy pages and shit. Roam around the website to eventually download a 500 MB file that is not the right one. Fuck. After loosing another hour, I eventually get the another installer that might be the right one, can't be sure. Now I am going to install this stuff and reboot.

Damn, Windows is not booting correctly anymore.

What are the shortcuts to boot in Safe Mode ? Should I use whatever Restore Point to see if is solves stuff ? Lose a couple more hours to understand why the drivers did not work. On an even more hidden page, that you are browsing in 640x480 16 colors (or whatever the resolution is, maybe 800x600), very convenient, find some other drivers. Install them. Wow, my Windows now starts correctly.

Now let's launch the game. Yeah it runs !.... like shit. Why ? My PC can't be that bad...

Oh yeah, this is PC, I need to check the Recommend Specs... WTF ? 8 GB of RAM to run Streets of Rage 4, which looks like a Dreamcast game ? Well I can't do anything about it, so let's play with a shit framerate and have the experience I deserve as a PC gamer.. when my controller will accept to work correctly, that is.

Should I start talking about problem using games from the Windows Store or whatever you call it ?

This was a true story, happened to me recently when I wanted to play games with friends during the lock-down.

We never got Gear 5 to run correctly between Series and PC either. Streets of Rage 4 was okay, but we had a good number of crashes. To have microphone working, my PC friend always have to create the group. If I do this, it won't work. Everything is sooooo simple :)

At least, PSO2 works fine (Xbox/PC). But we did not manage to use the games features for the microphone lol... So we use the Xbox live microphone feature...

PC gaming has its ups and downs, but for me it definitely has more ups than downs.

In my entire experience of PC gaming, I feel like I've only come across a few issues with games that seemed to be affected by my setup. Or was an issue I didn't see anyone else report. Sometimes I either work around it, or figured a way to fix it myself. I've been playing a lot of Binding Of Isaac: Repentance lately, and I discovered an issue where my sound just completely cuts out if my headset becomes unplugged. I have to relaunch the game and it's fine. Not really a big deal, but still, kinda wtf, lmao. But other than that, I can't remember the last time I had a serious issue, especially one that was annoying or seriously impacted my experience.

QAing PC titles was rough AF because there are multiple situations where only specific people with specific setups are affected by a specific issue. It REALLY sucks. All we did in those situations was make sure that those that were impacted by it contacted Customer Service, gave them the files we needed, and our team worked on it to see if they could fix it. Unfortunately not every dev and publisher is that responsive. The bigger they are the more it almost feels like they just sweep the issue under the rug and walk away.

That’s too bad. I’ve only had one issue since I started using X570 in 2019 and a bios reset fixed it.
All platforms do inevitably have issues.

My X79 with i7-3960X absolutely refused to work, would not even show anything on the screen and just gave me a mobo error message when I tried to use a GTX980 with it. Worked fine with the previous AMD 7970 card and even my super old 8600GT. No problems. GTX980? No go. Ended up returning it to the store and when they tested the card it worked absolutely fine on their basic test pc. I expected more from my HEDT Intel system.
Also had a sound issue as well on that board.

It would have taken you longer to type this post then put your exact problem into Google to fix it. The majority of games work just fine. Old games might not be compatible with Win10. Console games might just have a bad port. Sometimes it's something simple in the settings others you'd need a fan patch. Either way you can find your solution very easy.

If your shit crashes without explanation your shit is broken. Pick up your box and move to a PC shop and ask them to fix it for 50 bucks or tell u whats wrong with it.

The same way as u send in your fucking console that is broken and not solder yourself if you got no clue what the fuck is going on.

Simple.

About your whole driver issue's. we are in windows 10 these days where drivers are all up to date with automatic updaters. if your gpu doesn't automatically update and u need a driver update u can simple just go to the website and press the super hard matrix level of instructions on the website called "download drivers" and select what u got.

Fucking hard man.

U encounter a issue in a game? google 10 seconds later fixed.

Fucking hard man

If you don't got 8gb of ram in your PC in 2021, then that's probably your problem. U are playing with 4gb of ram in a age where 16gb is the norm. Maybe stop trying to slam that PS5 disc in a PS3.

Upgrade.

U don't know how or what? go to a PC shop.

Simple.

Honestly all you console people and your "problems" are just really you being special rather then the platform being the issue.

Also stop buying a fucking toaster as a PC if you want to run everything. Some games require performance, some games don't.

Stop falling for those stupid moronic youtuber tech experts that tell you to make a 500 buck second handed alibaba computer ducktaped together because it can run battlefield 3 at 2 fps higher then on the PS4. Buy a PC that lasts and works. aka avoid AMD at all cost no matter what people tell you.

Want to upgrade?

Buy 10700k
Buy 32gb of ram ( not 16 but 32 so u won't have memory issue's in a long time )
Buy a 3060

Never look back, u download a game, you press play on steam and u are done. and in 5 years from now, u swap the 3060 for a 6060.

You wrote so many bullshit that shows that you have no idea what you are doing or dont´t even have pc. Stick to consoles because it is a must for you.

Typical PC master race answers. You can indeed dismiss people that tell you they had problems with you favorite piece of hardware, sure. But still doesn't mean it did not happen.

When people tell my they have problems with their Xbox, MegaDrive or whatever, I provide real answers.

No thanks. I upgrade every 5/6 years and it only costs me around 300$, that's why I play on consoles. Why would I spend more for a more annoying experience on PC ?

Well the real answer is you're a bit inept. There you go. Your description of how you go about installing driver updates, need an hour to do it and somehow still manage to download the wrong shit really is telling. You're either exaggerating, lying, or eighty five years old and too slow to use a PC.

I got bad performance in control with raytracing on, i spend 500 bucks on this, while a 500 buck gpu could easily run that with raytracing on WTF. i tried searching for drivers update but there was nothing!!!!!

I have a fuck ton of input lag in rdr2 on my console how do i fix this? wtf i can't?

I wanted to play a online game with my friends, but it didn't work because i had to connect it toward the internet OMG, u know how expensive internet is guys.

This is an important point. Homeboy was even playing games from the OG Xbox era. He refused to divulge his specs or receive assistance troubleshooting, and feels his time is better spent here complaining about the platform.

Verdict: Busted

PC gaming is easy if you are not a complete retard.

These are the replies I live for. "Retard", "busted", or that guy that said I had an agenda? Yeah man, I work for the enemy and I got paid for this thread, all those things I listed in detail are totaly just made up. Saying you encoutered issues in a PC game is like offending some people. I deliberately didn't list my specs. Saying you have issues and listing your PC specs in an enthusiast forums triggers 99% of reponses to focus on them and tell you to upgrade, even though these are known issues that have nothing to do with hardware specs.

I wasn't referring to you, pc has indeed issue's with older games or some games but all of them are easily solvable through google searching 99% of the time and with a library of practically million of games its not shocking that some specially older games need extra attention.

Totally when u consider 99% of those games are not even playable on consoles to start with. Hell i play games old as hell.

If you got issue's with activations or some system fucking you over because the company has a retarded system in place, i would just straight up pirate it and not deal with it. U already bought the license anyway. Fuck them u tried.

You are ignoring the answers where people are reafirming that you are trying to play mediocre ports from an era where PC was an afterthought and a few so called AAA devs didn't give a damn about making sure their shit worked. These games are the exception and not the rule, and I really really doubt your word that you had all these issues in such little time. FWIW, I have all those games in your OP minus one, I think, and could just, for shits and giggles, install them right now and see if I even have one single problem of the ones you said you had. But I'm kinda tired and ready for my bed. Maybe tomorrow.

Not ignoring them, I just don't really agree with them. This fits for Alice and Rising I guess, everything else though is a pretty recent release. Even Jade empire which is the oldest of the bunch was only a few months ago released on steam, apparently without anybody testing even if the launcher they included targeted the correct .exe in order for the game to launch.

I can't do anything about you or anybody else believing me, but what's the alternative? I have an agenda and I strive for the demise of PC gaming one thread at a time? It was a bad experience and I was venting as I've said multiple times, no reason to see anything beyond that.

I am probably stupid yeah. Obviously, I did not want to succeed, I did everything on purpose to fail. My goal was to be able to play some games with friends (whatever the games really, anything that worked was fine), some of which were actually suffering quite a bit from being alone in their flat during the lock-down. But yeah, I was not trying.

Great insight anyway, thanks a lot.

Do you actually happen to have, in your life, wanted to play video-games on a PC that was never used for this, and that had been used for other stuff for 2 or 3 years ? How unbelievable can it be that things don't go smoothly in this situation ?

Not calling you stupid, just maybe not very... gifted in regards to computer stuff. Which is fine, but I guarantee that there has *never* been a game I had on PC which I have not somehow gotten to work, and you only having browsed the web or writing Word documents on it doesn't make a PC "forget" how to play games.

So because there's one publisher who puts a fifteen year old game on Steam without investing money into compatibility tests with current hardware all of PC gaming sucks?

I'll give you that this wouldn't have happened on console because games get certified before they are put on the stores. But please be so fair, too, and admit that this game will probably sell two thousand copies on PC at this point, and is probably not worth much monetary effort for QA at this time.

Please point out where I said that all of PC gaming sucks? I've been gaming on PC for 20 years, if it sucked I wouldn't have at all. What I did say was that it can be infuriating sometimes, much like the day I made the thread and I justified why it was for me. I did not make any general statements about the platform, please don't confuse me with the people that came here just to shit on PC or those that got triggered and started shitting on consoles. Personally I play on all platforms that have games worth playing and each platform has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Probably not stupid, but your story is just full of holes
Then you go to Device Management and search for "Update driver" but it never finds anything automatically
Why would anyone do this? Why not go into your gpu control panel and click "search/update drivers"?
Or even go into windows update and click "search for updates?"
So you search for your Graphics Card brand. WTF is it already ? Can't remember. Why would I even want to know this... Ah yes, it was written in Device Management. Now time to search the internet.
It's also right there when you right click on your desktop. What are these extra hoops you're jumping through?
Which website is the right one ? This one ?
the brand name +.com? Like if you know the brand why wouldn't that be your first instinct?
My PC is old, where are the downloads for me ? Hidden somewhere in legacy pages and shit. Roam around the website to eventually download a 500 MB file that is not the right one.
Most of the main sites, nvidia.com/amd.com/intel.com have autodetect systems:

Damn, Windows is not booting correctly anymore.
This sounds like your install/pc was already fundamentally broken to begin with, or you downloaded something wrong.
Now let's launch the game. Yeah it runs !.... like shit. Why ? My PC can't be that bad...

Oh yeah, this is PC, I need to check the Recommend Specs... WTF ? 8 GB of RAM
...how old is your pc? 8GB hasn't been adequate for quite a bit, if you had less than that, then well shit, sounds like your hardware is pure garbage.
I mean c'mon man, even the original xbox one from 2013 has 8gb of ram.
We never got Gear 5 to run correctly between Series and PC either. Streets of Rage 4 was okay, but we had a good number of crashes. To have microphone working, my PC friend always have to create the group. If I do this, it won't work.
This doesn't sound like a pc or console problem, but a networking problem; check your ports.

Well my PC certainly is a bit old (must be maybe 5 or 6 years old, wow...), but I don't see why I would not be allowed to play some Left 4 Dead on it. I don't like the idea of getting rid of "outdated" stuff, this adds even more to the wasted resources of the planet.

Otherwise, I think most of the answers to your post were listed, but thanks for the effort.

Device Management offers an Update Driver feature, so why should people not use it ? What is the logic here ?

I could not, in any way, get the appropriate drivers to download automatically, so I had to search the web and search manually on the website for something that worked.

GTX 950M : oops, page does not exist anymore...

Had to search, but the problem is that the search page does not help finding it...

People coming here and telling you "you are dumb it takes 5 minutes LOL bro". Yeah right.

Not going through all of it again, I hope you get the idea. Etc...

Not more infuriating than being locked to 20~30fps on tons of games with enormous input lag, with shitty/old resolution, bad IQ, bad motion blur/DoF/CA/Film grain, can´t choose the best controller for each gender, have to pay to play online while its free on pc, can´t use SkyUi mod on Skyrim (the most infuriating vanilla UI on a game), etc...
