Weta Workshop opened up preorders for their US$,1500 Larry Croft The Lost Valley second statue. I'm not a collector but I am impressed by the quality and attention to detail. This statue looks brilliant from any angle.

Yeah, just in the context of the rest of her body they look weird, like were designed by a separate person after they finished the rest of it. The uncanny tits I can abide, but the muscles, especially the arms don't make me think of Lara Croft.

Even if you look at the (mostly terrible imo) statue of nu-Lara earlier in the thread they get the arms really right... they then attach them to a sort of trashcan body lol but at least they got one part "right".

I think its just the design of Lara Croft I prefer because of playing the old games first, she was supposed to be like a super hero to me, her arms/build is completely divorced from the actions she performs. Like Wuxia films or the like, its a fantasy.

I normally don't mind redesigns of characters, I'm happy to see something new, but for some reason Lara's designs since 2013 have never clicked with me, just a step back usually.

This lara looks a little off to me. She looks good but I think I'm too use to more of the softer curves lara than the slightly more muscularly athletic version from the movies. Then again this could just be a more realistic phsyical form for adventure.

I like this comic book heroine style design more. I think it was a limited edition. Video

Who knows, but I think it looks stupid. My main complaint is it costs 1500 flipping pounds and there hair and materials aren't "real". For that money I'd expect at least leather straps and real rubber soles. Maybe I'm naive though, you probanly have to pay 3k+ to get that kinda detail.

I don't want my gaming-men to be as ripped as Gears characters and I equally don't want my gaming-ladies to look like crossfit "athletes".
