EA: Respawn has the freedom to make Titanfall 3 - if they want to

Apex takes place in a time period where the is no warring factions. But I think TF3 should take place in the future AFTER Apex and Apex gets updates bridging the gap between them both with in game lore hints and weapons as such that can debut in TF3.

TF3 should happen, there is room for both to exist.

We dont believe in telling a studio what to make, but when they start getting ideas we take them to the pit and show them the decimated remains.

Titanfall 3 is the only FPS I’d be hyped for apart from Halo. Got in to 2 at the end of last year but it feels like I’ve missed the boat due to its age.

Well they tried with Titanfall 2,which resulted in a popular campaign and a forgettable online component.

You could really feel they went all in with the first one.

Well Titanfall 2 signle player is one of the best FPS campaign which there are and most often you aren't in mech.
No it isnt. That's such hyperbole.

It has the best single player FPS game mechanics, the campaign was average AF.

I bought into the hyperbole and bought the game for its campaign only to be bored to death with exception of the time manipulation level.

Modern day Half Life 2 my ass.

But I really like it :messenger_pensive: I liked the dialogs between two protagonist and it worked for me.

Dammit man, this only works when you don't come back and hit me with a sad emoji 😢

But yes, I'll concur that the dialogue interactions of the MC and BT was enjoyable, at the least.

"Freedom" as in "you have this very high financial target to meet, so sure you could shoot yourself in the foot and go make TF3 if you want to"

Considering Respawn is virtually the only studio EA has that doesn't give them a a constant stream of negative PR since Bioware shat the bed for the past decade, I would suggest EA doesn't piss them off.

Titanfall 2 is one of the best FPS ever made.

Not only was the MP the best FPS MP game last gen, but the single player was without a doubt one of the greatest single player FPS campaigns ever made.

I'll lose faith in humanity if TF3 doesn't get made.

We are talking about Titanfall 3 but bump suggests a new IP. I just wanna know if its FPS or third person.
Seeing Sony TPS is all the craze, FPS market is tapped out if even Titanfall 1 campaign couldn't find traction and SW-dark souls did.

Yeah well, not in this case. Look it up

According to that link, the producer at Respawn straight up had no idea who set the release date. Just that it got locked in after whoever set it did so. That doesn't sound like it came from Respawn. Meanwhile, EAs CEO argued that BF1 and TF2 are for different target audiences, which is why the close release date doesn't matter.

According to that article, the publisher (EA) set the release date.

It just doesn't make sense for the dev to set the release date. They're not the ones at risk of losing money. They're labor. This and marketing is completely in the publishers sandbox. It's their risk. Outside of delays for more dev time, why would the publisher allow the devs to decide the exact date?

Hype. If this new IP thing is real, sounds like EA really is giving their teams more freedom. Maybe they see it leads to better games, better press etc. I've trusted the team since COD4.

Its a day 1 regardless.

They probably can make a TF3 if they want and they probably also know if it doesn't do well their future will be in doubt, devs want their games to make money too people it's a pride thing and they probably have bonuses structured around profit so this whole "we do it for the art" nonsense needs to go away.

Never played the OG titanfall but I recently played TF2 on gamepass and enjoyed the campaign.

Tried multiplayer and I don't really like that it includes AI enemies. It's not as fun as I thought it would be but I have a lot of fun with Apex which is seems what TF2 eventually became (minus the titans)

TF2 single player is the best FPS single player campaign i played that gen. If they feel compelled to make a sequel i would be there day 1.
