Genshin Impact |OT| 4.0 (Fontaine) - Je m'appelle "la baleine"

I don't think they will raise the price of the blessing or the BP, it's already the perfect 2-hits combo - MHY make you pay to get more characters, and then makes you pay to raise their levels efficiently. The clever thing would be to offer new functionalities to monetize : streaming on mobile device ? Paying skins ? A new way to pay for more resin per day ?

I suspect the remaining players are the paying ones - the whales, and those too invested in their 5* lvl 90 abyss-clearing team comps that they won't uninstall the game till 2030, so I don't think a shrinking player base would really change anything short term. We need to see the numbers after Inazuma eventually release.

If they really want to recover those installbase they really need to fast foward the next country. Exploration is already gone in this game and add pieces of little parts don't help either.

I mean they technically could do a world refresh/remix of chests. I'd be happy to go exploring the existing world again. Maybe make the challenges a little harder, mix up some of the puzzles. That'd be a nice project for the interns or whatever while they make Inazuma and beyond.

Off topic but...

It really pisses me off that they did all of the spinoffs to A Certain Magical Index and never bothered to finish the main series. I don't like any of the side characters that got the spinoffs as much as I liked Index and Touma.

I tried using another spoiler tag but wasn't working for some reason.

I'm an anime only viewer of Index and I felt there were to many info dumps and was struggling to keep track of who was each of the 30 different acronym orgs. There were a few episodes where I wasn't even sure what was going on as a result. Years between seasons didn't help though. The side stories felt like they focused on each story arc instead of covering as many arcs as possible.

I know, but is not the same. Add a new country not means exploration, but means a new God and workship statues, not to mention advance the lore.

Windtrace is random co-op only? Bruh. I'm already shy enough with people I know and now I gotta do this

As I understood it, random or friendlist (but you don't get the rewards then). But yes you need to play with people.

...at least I won't need to pick uids on GF or elsewhere to advance this time, contrary to housing ^^

if you read the LN or Manga it's better experience. Like a different world. It was fine up to Season 2 and the movie, but then the 3rd season crammed 10 volumes into 26 episodes which hurt it. I don't think they'd do that again at least.

This game going to force me out of my hikikomori life?

You're basically talking about features GTA Online had since 2015 lol

Scroll to around 10 minute mark for some jacuzzi action.

Yeah or something more similar to Genshin is FFXIV. It has a ton of actions for the character and it's not exactly complicated to implement if that archaic (great) game can. Because if you're adding Housing, the roleplay options open up and they should at least make furniture outside of chairs more interactive.

Just me and my homies, standing around in a hot tub, ripping the bong, and then shooting each other in the head. I could see that ported into Genshin, no problem.
Just put Barbie on top of any table and let her be. Lap dancing mode unlocked.

Welp, hit rank 6 tonight for my teapot. Resin purchase unlocked. I think I might just store up currency for a while and craft all the dupes that I need for some of these furniture sets, since we need to place 10 of them for the book quest anyways. I should be able to purchase the resin by Friday if I stick to that plan. Not bad.

I'm only a little coziness off from the 10k tier, which gives a measly 2 currency per hour more than I get now. After 12k coziness, it jumps to 15k/20k, so I'm seeing diminishing returns with worrying about that. After I hit the 12k tier I think I'll completely wipe my layout and actually spend some time trying to make things look nice, or at least make sense.

I'd like to keep grinding rank but I'm ok with my progress for now. The next big step is getting rank 8 so I can go to one of the teapot realms that actually has a day/night cycle. I'm still a little pissed that the floating clouds one is always daytime. They could have just changed the color of the swirling energy to blue for a night cycle, cheap asses.

Having a forge, cooking pot, and alchemy table in my teapot is nice, but it's still considerably faster to just port to Mondstadt or Liyue and use them there. Oh well, can't complain too much.

How are you guys doing with your teapots? Also, anyone else playing on Americas server? I could use some more friends in-game.

I'm taking it a lot slower and just slowly expanding. Still in the lower ranks, but I'm working on fauna and outside scenery. Nothing to show off yet sadly...

Rank 5, but 12k tier.
Looks bad, I just put everything down to farm coins, trying not to make it too ugly.
I bloody hate how the set interface works. You need to have them all in your inventory not just to put them down, but also to check how many you have/you need.
Also hate how you can't put stuff on beam textures inside the house and how the grid is not centered. I need perfect symmetry!
The pot needs quite a lot of QoL fixes. And better Mondstadt furnishings/houses, they're vastly inferior to Lyiue's. Also, working doors.

Not on PS5. Unfortunately cooking pot is indoor only, even the premium one from the battle pass ;(

For those of you crazy enough to pull on a weapon banner, the next one.

If I pulled on that banner, I would end up with a dozen rainslashers, guaranteed.

I think this game knows what 4 star weapons that you don't use/equip and makes sure you end up with tons of them. I've pulled 6 rainslashers and 7 lions' roar, but never had a use for either of them. On the other hand, I'm AR55 and I just pulled my first sacrificial sword and sacrificial fragments on the current Zhongli banner. For awhile I mistakenly thought that the Sacrificial line of weapons were 5 stars because they seemed so rare to me.

Ranking is slow as fuck as usual. But at least both interior and outside looks like proper places to look at. Did some hard work for the interior second floor to look more like a library. While in my main area I did some little cave area of sorts just for fun. Other than that, crafting still builds like a snail.
I do have a cooking pot inside and a forging and alchemy outside. But I rarely use them, since most of times I just prefer using on Monstad. But if anyone needs alchemy, is inside my cave.

So here's a list of furnture sets and the pieces involved that you'll need in 1.6 to get Primos from your characters. It's kinda complicated to read and I don't have access to the spreadsheet, but it basically goes like this.

Photo/Set name (the purple scroll looking "recipes" that we get that enable sets)/Characters that will give you primos if you place them in it/Individual furniture pieces. I'm not sure what the coloring of the cells have to do with it.

There's no reason to rush this, but if you want to make furniture ahead of time to get your primos ASAP, here you go. I think in addition to primogems, the characters will also give you custom scenes and conversations if placed into the particular sets.

Just added you, so you should have access to my teapot (Never thought I would be typing that sentence out).

Kinda misses the point imo. I mean, people would be forced to dismount their decorations just for funitive sets.

I've been having to do that for various achievements and stuff anyways. This is why I think it's not a big deal to make your first realm layout look like anything special. You have to basically bastardize it to get all of the achievements and rewards from the system itself, so just make what you need/what gets you the most currency now, and fix it up to look nice later. I think that fulfilling the sets actually gives you rank XP, which is another good reason to do it when you start running low on new recipes to buy/make

I agree that it kinda misses the point of the housing system and customization, but w/e, nothing stopping me from doing that in my 2nd realm. I'm curious if the events tied to these sets can be repeated, or if they're just like 2-3 lines of text, or something more than that.

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand how it works, but feels like a chore, an annoying thing and a "reverse QoL" for the teapot.

I've spent more time on the teapot than I expected, but it does feel closer to a beta than a finished product. There's so many little QoL things they could add to improve the experience, like the menu system. I've become somewhat used to it, but it's still pretty clunky.

I really need to hit whatever trust level opens up the 2nd area for your realm. I can't add anything outside, so now I'm just stuffing the inside as much as I can.

I think 5 is the 2nd outdoor area.

Put all dogs and cats inside. They are heavy load.

Yeah, I already did that. My outdoors area is pretty disorganized as I've just have been loading up a ton of crap trying to increase my trust rank. I think I'm pretty close to lvl 5, so having a 2nd area will be a big help.

Side thought: Do they just pull random words from an english dictionary when naming the banners?

"Born of Ocean Swell" noticed this on other banners too

I mean, If she were Hydro...

Man, they really need to diversify the characters kit a bit more. Even following the MMO model for class roles would be a good idea since there's gonna be so much overlap if they keep it this simple and no reason to replace characters like Zhongli or Ganyu. I'm simply rolling for waifu factor, but she won't get much use given the Cryo element from me. Also, weapon types...
