Bloodborne Remastered confirmed by leaker SoulsHunt, no Bloodborne II in the works

I enjoyed Bloodborne but I can't for the life of me understand why people get so excited over remasters or remakes of games that are barely 6 years old, however good they were.

Very happy to see that FS at least it's focussed on new stuff.
I can’t understand From fans in general to be honest. They treat every From trailer/teaser/game like it is a medical breakthrough.

I've been hearing every leaker and insider under the sun saying it's happening "soon" for the best part of 5 years.

It's one of those things that has been repeated so many times everyone expects it to happen eventually, so they will periodically say it's happening now in the hope to get it right by chance.

The only thing I know for sure is that if it's releasing on PS5 in 2021, Sony will announce it very soon. If they hold a post-E3 event show in the coming weeks and it doesn't show up, then it's not coming out in 2021 (or ever, who knows).

I hope to god they don't change its art direction like they did with Demons Souls, Bloodborne has fantastic artstyle and I don't needed to change.

If you're wrong you have to get punched in the dick by everyone wanting this.
I'm seriously wanting the PC version something fierce.

The french leaker who made that tweet only did so after Navtra had already spoken about this title first on ReeeEra so we don't know if he/she was just piggy-backing off of her information or not.

What has this leaker actually broken news on first before anyone else?

Also there is a great irony here for the first few posters praising the leak in this thread, if the same leaker got the platforms wrong for Final Fantasy Origin then why do you take the platforms he's leaking here as a certainty?

It appears there is a trend in some particular threads where - instead of considering the validity of the information and adjusting their response accordingly would rather act like it is true because it is want they want. For e.g;

Thread about Demon's Souls on PS4? The reaction is "Oh yeah, that's definitely happening because *reasons* and it's coming to Y platform too because *reasons*". A day later it is debunked.

Thread about Sony and FROM SOFTWARE doing another collaboration? The reaction is "No way! That's just not possible." A day later evidence comes out of Reddit that makes it look practically verifiably true.

This is just an observation but they should make an effort to be more objective lest they have their expectations or hopes crushed for the 10th or so time.

I'm not saying this leak isn't true either, but what has this guy leaked with 100% certainty before anyone else has before? Navtra is someone with a practically impeccable track record.
And you're right here in france this guy is just known for being an attention whore.

Yeah exactly.

I loved that game so much I put over 200 hours and had a level 500 + character. I definitely had all I wanted from the game.

Being excited about a remaster fixing frame pace just don't really make sense to me. It definitely helps with the combat but after Sekiro and Nioh I can't say that Bloodborne's trick weapons are that appealing to me. What makes Bloodborne great, at least to me, are the aesthetics, the classy FS level designs and the Lovecraftian lore settings. Those don't really improve from the PS4 version to a remastered version.

That being said, I will still buy the remaster in the hope that they will consider a sequel.

Not remastered by Bluepoint would be a shame, they are best in class. Hope it’s a Sony internal team and not someone like Panic Button.

Won’t be buying it again, got Sekiro to play before Elden Ring, but good for PC players to get their hands on one of From’s finest works.

Just patch it to work at 4k/60 lol

Why does a lastgen game need a remaster, if you buy it don't go complaining later about companies ripping us off.

Why remaster it as a separate entity? This should just be an update or a patch.
iu

Cant imagine a PS5 release that is not on 60 fps..
but 60fps is low frame rate.

my PC monitor is 165hz. playing at 60hz on it is not fun. i need games to be at 120-160fps

have you actually played or seen the game? it's one of my favourite games of all time so i ain't hating but it needs:
  • higher resolution
  • higher framerate
  • better textures
  • improved models
  • increased view distance
  • reduced post-fx
  • raytracing
it's a 6 year old game and really does need a visual enhancement.

Anyone who has actually played Demons Souls PS5 will be weeping a small tear to hear BloodBorne remaster won't be done by bluepoint. They are absolute masters of their craft and produced a special game. I think all future from soft visuals should be handed over to them starting immediately with Elden Ring (that is unless you enjoy late PS3 level textures).

I think this to (except raytracing), CA can just be a toggle. I don't think there is enough that's need doing to warrant a new game at full price though. In my opinion most of the reason these games look terrible is FROM just never seem to be able to deal with aliasing properly (except higher res and ds). Some parts of Cainhurst and the usual hair/fur etc. are painful.

The minute issue with frame pacing didn't really bother me, though 60fps would be welcome (without the frame pacing issue, but even with it's way overblow imo).

I’ll wait for the PC version. Don’t want a PS5.

eh well I’ve already played it on PS4. Been replaying it recently again. It’ll be good to have a version with high framerate/resolution and updated textures.
Same here, but i am afraid that it is 2 years away

I beat Bloodborne for the first time recently so it makes sense this would be announced soon. I wait and I wait, then I get tired and finally play through the game. Once I beat it the improved version gets announced shortly after.

So if it's not QLOC (debunked a number of times, also QLOC is probably still full-time optimizing Cyberpunk) and it's not Bluepoint - coming from a guy with some connections at Square, if this leak was true perhaps we're talking about one of Enix units with some peripheral Bluepoint involvement. Just speculating. This would be perfect for Q4 leading up to Elden Ring, hope it's true!

First ps5...later pc? Come on sony, ffs. So much money.

Yes, they are a platform holder. Buy their platform if you want to play their games on day 1.

(I know MS does console + PC on day 1, but that's because Xbox isn't just the hardware, it's the software platform/service.)

This seems plausible. Way more plausible than an actual sequel.

I’m very curious who would be making the remaster.

Well, I waited and waited because the rumors said Demon’s Souls would get a remake made by Bluepoint.

Then, last year I finally caved in. I disassembled my old fat PS3 and cleaned it thoroughly, reapplied thermal paste and delidded the GPU. Just for the original Demon’s Souls.

Just finished the game and BAM! the remake gets announced.

It was still a great experience, but unfortunately I had just gone on the platinum trophy hunt for the original (which was much, much more time consuming) so when I got the Demon’s Souls remake on launch day I finished it in 2 days and got the platinum within 2 weeks because I knew the game inside out :p

I'm just throwing this out there.
When Mark Cerny designed the PS4 he also released a game. When the PS4 Pro was released, a short time later Mark Cerny released a game. Cerny has designed the PS5, where's his game? I've seen rumours here before that he has a game in development. Maybe it is the remaster

The only rumor I’ve heard is that he is involved with the Metal Gear Solid remake with Bluepoint

because the game runs like complete ass on PS4... and people want to play it at 60fps and have loading times that aren't annoying.

the game is perfect in terms of Gamedesign, controls, artstyle. but the 30fps lock, bad frame pacing, the framedrops and the loading times keep it from perfection

imagine your favorite movie being only available on as a bad master on VHS with Mono sound, and you hear it might come out on BluRay where all the bad mastering of the VHS is corrected + surround sound

I absolutely rinsed this on my Pro. Plus the DLC.

I built my first PC for several years in early 2019 so I'd already started several big games on either my One X or my PS4 Pro that had come out before my said PC build.

I'd put god knows how many hours into Dark Souls 3 and other none cross progression games, still play DS3 on my Pro. Fuck restarting on my PC, despite it being an I9 2080TI.

The point to the above is as much as I love 60+fps gaming and the Souls games I ain't restarting a game I've played for ten or more hours, plus once I've completed a game it's one and done, fuck playing it again no matter how much I loved it or what improvements are on the table.

That normally concrete stance goes wooshdeefuckydoo out the window when it comes to Bloodborne. I'll play that bitch again on my PC in super fidelity and awesome framerates right from the start to the very last drop, all over again.

Basically I fucking love Bloodborne. Bring it.
