Also... wasn't there a rumor saying this would be one of July's free PS Plus game?
The games are usually released the first Tuesday of every month and this update is releasing in the first Tuesday of July so... it might be true.

I played this on gamepass. Would love it to be the ps5 ps plus game as rumoured. Same day the plus games change it releases so looking very likely. Would definitely replay it on ps5 with the sequel incoming next year.

Worth noting that if this game does turn out to be one of the July PS + games, more likely than not (just like FFVII) the PS + version won't have the PS5 upgrade be free (unless they're doing this different)

Control had both versions when it was released on PS Plus. But they could also just give away the next gen version and not include the last gen version like they did with Maneater.

Control, Wreckfest, Maneater, and Maquette suggest that it is the PS5 version that will be on +, rather than the PS4 version.

I have this in my backlog but haven't gotten around to it yet. This upgrade couldn't come at a better time. Excited for the game cuz I heard so much good about it.

Never played this. Love single player linear narrative heavy games and always been a fan of historical settings in games. Any chance i don’t like this?

Is the sequel to this going to be MS exclusive or just Gamepass Day1?

Not exclusive, apparently. It was announced at Microsoft's show (which is especially appropriate to debut in celebration there since Plague Tale developer also did Microsoft's amazing Flight Simulator,) but the official site lists PC, Xbox XS, PS5, and even Switch (which will be a Cloud Version again, certainly.)

I'm not following. Didn't mention exclusivity in my post. Did you quote the wrong user?

Cool, I'm playing through this right now after seeing the trailer for the sequel. Had never heard about this game prior to that.

It has been great thus far though, I'm very surprised by it. The setting and theme is really interesting.

I downloaded it on Game Pass earlier this week and have been pleasantly surprised with how good it is. But since I'm on PC, I'm already playing at 4K/60 Ultra settings and see it says HDR at the end of the trailer. So I'm probably gonna end up finishing this game before that portion of the update is even available, if they update anything at all on PC, which sucks, because this game would look absolutely stellar with some HDR.

Here's some in-game 1080p footage (YouTube takes 100 years to process 1440p).

Looking forward to this, it was hardly an ugly game previously but it certainly looks nicer and a nice smooth locked frame rate is always a real bonus. I honestly can't remember anything about teh audio in the original version but I have been impressed with games that use the new 3D audio on PS5.

Game was dope af! I'll probably replay it after the update. It was weird that the game had such good voice acting without the facial expressions to convey it though.

Platinumed this game in April and its production quality is impressive. Where it falters is its writing, which starts off excellent but falls apart in the latter half. The final encounter also struck me as haphazardly slapped together just so they could bring the script to a close.

Why don't they upgrade the PC version to 4k 60fps? You pcmr guys now wish you had next gen consoles too! No free upgrades on PC!

So if I played and finished the game on PC on 4K, Max settings a while ago, I don't need to try out the enhanced edition correct? There is no extra story stuff? They are just trying to make the console version a bit closer to the PC?
Oops, I did not realize some people actually think that way.
