It's a gorgeous game but I would say Flight Sim, TLOUII, FH5 and ratchet and clank are noticeably better looking.

True. It's the reason I think that Demon's Souls is overrated in the graphics department. If God Of War looks like that on base PS4, DS just isn't so impressive considering it's on a MUCH more powerul machine. Not sure why it can't be done on PS4 besides the loading times, of course.

It looks glorious indeed. One of the best looking games out there and with the PS5 60fps update it runs flawlessly. Makes me imagine what GOW:R will look like running on the PS5 natively even though it’s a cross gen game.
Ratchet and Clank is the best looking game IMO but GOW still looks spectacular.

And the geometry probably needs a downgrade among other things. Heck it even works on the PS3 once you downgrade it enough.

Yeah, I'm sure some of the vistas will have less detail and the res might have to go to 900p but it should still look great.

Lighting is also something that could take a big hit as well as the alpha effects.
Technically you can get the same game working on a PS5 and maybe even on weaker systems. But it wouldn't look close to the PS5 version in my opinion. There's still plenty of reasons to pick it up over the PS4 version if it does exist.
One downgrade that could turn off some people is losing that 60FPs mode due to the jaguar cores.

Water is mediocre even if a large portion of the game is in the water.
Human characters are not evenly detailed, kratos is by far the best human model, especially the face if compared to the other humans, i was really not impressed with baldur\freya\atreus\thor sons faces, they look a bit too stylized maybe?!
Snow was ok, but inferior to rdr2 and horizon dlc snow.
The big creatures are excellent tho, the dragon boss is more detailed than the dragon inside demons remake on ps5, fight me.
Overall, top 10 from last gen, maybe top 5 (a gigantic maybe)
The world is too static, and since the sequel is still on ps4, i don't expect much difference.

One of the best HDR implementations out there at least. The game not only has bright highlights and deep shadows, but also "more" colour. Hard to articulate what I mean, but those of you who have played it on a good screen will know what I'm talking about - first time seeing those trees with the red leaves where "the witch" lives left me speechless.

Absolutely beautiful. This is one of the PlayStation games I want to play but hasn't. Seeing it now on PS 5 don't encourage me to boot up the ps 4 slim tog give it a go. Always getting the slim version of the PlayStation console so I have to wait a while.

Some of those scenes in Gears 5 Hivebusters are simply jaw dropping gorgeous . And I would put it up against anything . If you have a great 4K TV with great dolby vison and HDR , you are in for a treat.

Ragnarok will look better but I guess the framerate will take a hit if they're going to implement RT and all. I expect some improved texture work on the environment.
God of War looks amazing on PS5 but its environment is very focused, and lots of texture work is repeated. Its kind static but it excels in what its supposed to do. I loved the gameplay, immersion and visceral combat. To me its perhaps the best of the PS4 lot Sony first parties put out.
The combat is extremely good. You can create different builds, I had one focused on short cooldowns and higher runic damage. On the harder difficulties you have to use the right tools, manage your cooldowns and use runic for crowd control. Every skill has its use and I like that.
