So, GTA V Expanded and Enhanced is 4 months out and still no trailer to show just how expanded and enhanced it really is...

So on November 11th, exactly 4 months from now, GTA V "next gen" will launch and yet we still don't know anything about it. What graphical enhancements it will have? Will there be 60fps options (120fps options?)? What content have they added?

The PS4/XB1 versions launched on November 18th 2014 and the first trailer showcasing the graphical improvements came out at E3 that year, on June 10th 2014. So compared to that timeline we're a month late already. Since it was first announced at Sony's PS5 event, is Rockstar waiting for Sony's next big event to show it?

Yeah it sounds like it's more than just more res/framerate, but these days you never know, anyway is it coming to every platform?

knowing Rockstar the PC version will get updated in 2023. ps3/360 came out 2013, ps4/xb1 came out 2014, and PC came out 2015.

i find it difficult to get excited for this update since Rockstar likes to treat PC gamers like trash.

Yeah we do know it's coming out in 4 months they announced it themselves back in May:

Also the first trailer for GTA V came out 2 years before the game came out.

PC gamers have mods that already make the game look better than this enhanced console version ever will so I can understand why they're in no rush. Not to mention that PC gamers have been able to play it at unlimited framerates while consoles have been limited to 30fps in all version. So yeah consoles need the attention more.

It’s GTA does it even need a trailer? Rockstar could have announced the game on November 10th for release the next day and it would still sell 1:1 with all PS5 and XSX consoles being sold.

Rockstar are not the ones trying to make this happen. I'm sure they couldn't care either way since they probably get more from GTAO. A platform holder does.

i know consoles need better performance but if the leaks are true then this is more than just a performance boost.

yeah i'm sure rockstar doesn't care about selling the game to people a third time. ps3 > ps4 > ps5.

they are greedy bastards and this is most definitely them making it happen.

they could get away with that but they already announced it and haven't shared anything about it.

They don't when the install base is this small. It's a drop in the ocean compared to GTAO. The only reason we even heard about it this early is because of a platform holder. Right now neither the platform holder nor Rockstar are in any rush to increase sales. Later they will be.

Improved pedestrian and traffic density is my number 1 upgrade if it is decent enough. I found GTA V a bit underwhelming because what was supposed to be a densely populated city felt so so empty.
Even worse on GTAO 😩 one of the main reasons I never played it. Game became sparse as hell and ever player trying to rocket you 🤷‍♂️

Rockstar is no strangers to delays so what makes you think its still coming in four months?

The game had made them bazillions, not surprising that they would port it to a 3rd(!?!) generation of consoles.
360/ps3 gen got two gta's, crazy that this gen got none.
I haven't played it since launch on 360, I'm ready to hang out with Trevor again. Assuming I can find a ps5 or Series X by November.....

This is the reveal trailer he compares:

I'm not sure if R* is keeping it all close to their chest to wow us because I really can't see all the people playing GTA:Online wanting to buy the campaign again to be honest if they can just buy the offline seperate (or redeem it for free on PS5)

This will be a worthwhile upgrade, there is no doubt about it. Rockstar might be (incredibly) scummy with their MTX models but they never release a retail item that is subpar. There are just too many haters that are blind to reality on gaming forums. Fair enough if you hate GTA, dont bother with it, but just because it isnt your cuppa tea doesnt mean its shit or they wont put any effort into this version.

They are a massive company with more staff than most others, they could have been working on this for years.

As someone who doesn’t have a 4K tv yet (hangs head in shame) most graphical ps5 enhancements are hard to spot during gameplay. Frame rate is where it’s at. So honestly I’m not expecting the third generation (!!!) of gta v games to impress all that much

Because this isn't a new game. If they announced a date I'm sure they're confident in the fact they can have it ready for that day. If there was a significant delay they would've probably announced it by now.
Thats a lotta assumptions.

Have they said anything about price? There's no way I'm gonna pay $60+ dollars for this, but a $20 upgrade? Maybe.

1. Expanded storyline, and side quest
2. Able to purchase properties. more internal buildings to enter
3. Ray tracing with 60 fps with upscale 4k
4. More activities and scripted events.

Come on Rockstar, FFFFFFFFFFF multiplayer.

They don't really care about the singleplayer, go look up how much they have made from selling ingame money for multiplayer. Right now they are probably wondering how they can axe singleplayer from gta6 without blow back.

It'll have some graphical tweaks and a whole lot of online stuff that you don't care about, but it'll be enough to keep that bloated carcass of a game alive for another 5 years.
