Orcs Must Die 3: Finally on Steam as of July 23rd

To those of you who haven't been following this closely since the game was originally locked on the Stadia platform, inspired by the Console Wars thread I decided to see what was happening over on the Stadia front.

What's happening over in Stadia land?
Absolutely fucking nothing.

What game finally managed to escape from the vile grasps of Google Stadia?
Orcs Must Die 3

I guess I missed some topics while I was enjoying some summer trips, but it seems like there is some interest for the game:

Also looks like it made it to the PS4.

I found the second game a chore as the levels were obviously laid out for coop play. Teleporting back and forth in the levels felt tedious. At least allow me to manage choke points that don’t require me to micromanage half the map.

Played through a few stages of this last night. It's definitely more of the same.
But honestly I'm fine with that. If it's not broke don't fix it.

I didn't even know this existed. Now it's doing very well on Steam. Figures. I don't blame developers for taking the cash though since the indie market is so wobbly.

Lol, hey, your anger issues are just that. Your issues.
I'm not angry at anything. I just think the game is a bit overpriced for what it offers. You're the one who seems to have a problem with that. I wish I could help you, but I can't.

You're not really good at reading people, are you?

Anyways. Enough of this.

OP, should probably add it's on PS4, XO and XS too. PS5 is coming later.

I have no idea what you're looking for with this exchange. I ventured an opinion, and since then, you've made these dumb attempts at being condescending.

So, you're right. Enough of this. Don't reply to me with more of your idiocy.

I'm not looking for anything. You're the one going postal because I disagreed with you on price. With asinine outbursts like this you earn a bit of condecension:

I invite you - FORMALLY invite you - to open the window nearest to you and wordlessly scream your rage until you are hoarse, but cleansed.

You guys should keep arguing. Thread is getting bumped and the game is getting more exposure. ❤️
Shall do! At this point, I don't even know what we're arguing about. Something about me being angry and him/her being condescending. I don't know. This is one of those internet things where you just end up arguing because you don't want to back down, so I'm not actually trying to achieve anything or prove anything here.

It's all very online.

I guess it's not gonna be a gamepass game, right?
That'd be awesome.

Orcs Must Die 3 and Serious Sam where the 2 games I wanted to play from Stadia

It's $40AUD. For what it offers, I think it's overpriced. You don't agree? I invite you - FORMALLY invite you - to open the window nearest to you and wordlessly scream your rage until you are hoarse, but cleansed.
You seem angry. I agree that 40AUD is definitely too much for this game IMO.

This version is a lot bigger than its first 2 entries. This pricing is fine for what It offers. 2 campaigns, endless mode, scramble mode, and a bunch of challenges. A bunch of new traps/weapons/trinkets were also added. Also HUGE new maps with many more enemies. Me and my friend remarked a few levels were almost like LotR Helm's Deep.

I've been having quite a bit of fun with it.

Beat the first war map last night. Pretty fun. I like the idea of separate traps and heroes between war mode and normal mode.
Is there a limit to skulls? Seems like I can replay stages and just keep getting more?

It seems like a step back from orcs unchained. At least the amount of characters it had. I liked those designs more.

The biggest complaint I have is about the war scenarios. In those, the rift is inside of a castle protected by wooden gates. Soon I realized that defending the gates is pointless. There's very little you can do outside the castle to keep orcs from destroying the gates. The big traps are too expensive and ineffective.
The best strategy is to let them break in, find a spot where you can use barricades to force all orcs to converge and then you build your death corridor there. Stack all damage-dealing traps.
I never bothered with elemental damaging types, resistances, etc. Just sheer damage. The ice gadget is great to stop the big guys on their tracks while the traps chip away at their health.

I completed the main campaign in 13 hours. But there's a second campaign and other activities.
I think it's worth the price.

I only played the first war map but I placed a bunch of guardians outside the gate and they worked really well protecting it.

Thank fuck it's finally out of Stadia hell. Got two copies (from gg.deals for much cheaper) for both me and the missus for her birthday. Looking forward to doing some Orc slaying! :messenger_grinning_smiling:

The biggest problem with this game is quite frankly the horrible new lead characters that you have to play in order to unlock the cool ones like Max. They're fine enough to play with, but their personalities reeks so hard of tryin real hard but failing that it's just sad. They're not even remotely funny, and you can practically hear them reading lines off a script. Much unlike Max who just IS that dofus.
