Fastest you’ve ever sold a game?

Mine:

1) De Blob on Wii. After the first time I jumped, I ejected it from the console. Jump was motion controlled. JUMP, yes jump - motion controlled in a platforming game where jumping is the main mechanic? Who the hell thought that was a good idea? Good bye.

2) GTA4. I walked about 10 metres and immediately listed it on eBay. It was the same clunky ass tank controls that still persists to this day in GTAV. I probably didn’t even get more than 60 seconds in this game lol. It’s frustrating to think about how good Rockstar games seem to be but how bad the controls are. I put up with the bad controls in GTA3, SA, VC…but by the time 4 came out I couldn’t take it any longer.

Easy..

Sea of Thieves. At launch it was barely more than a pretty sea tech demo.

I actually took it back to my local shop that morning and complained and they gave me the full cost back. The manager had tried it himself and completely agreed with me.

I believe they have added some actual content since though.

Yeah that was rough at launch.

Fallout 3, although I couldn't return it but I got it for <10€...
...and - shame on me for falling for it again - Fallout 4, luckily I only borrowed it.

Boring, ugly, buggy. So burned from them, that I'm scared to start and try Skyrim out.

Nevermind my reply, we need to talk about what you think "tank controls" are, because GTA IV doesn't have them.

Do you mean you don't like the animation blending with the less-than-tight turning circle? I'd more call that "too much animation blending", like how Souls games have barely any so keep it responsive whereas RDR 2 is the "worst" for it. Depends what you want out of a game though.

Did you like RDR 2? Apologies if I'm not understanding what you mean though.

Fallout New Vegas.
I actually got a full refund, as it was the first time I had purchased a game that was riddled with bugs.

Super Bomberman R (switch)
It was just downright awful and I was gutted I paid £50 to get it day one with my switch.
The 800msp xbla title was way better and more active online.

I usually have to really dislike a game to sell it as well.

When I bought physical, I never sold them on.

Except for COD Ghosts. After completing the campaign, I settled down for some MP goodness. I think I have it a few weeks before deciding I could do without COD that year. Sold on with no regrets.

In all honesty, Cyberpunk on Xbox One X.

I knew what was coming but I couldn't hold back to buy the game at launch. I sold it on marketplace within a couple of hours of playing.

I wanted to like the game but there was too many negatives

I’ve always felt GTA should play like an episode of Cops. When you’re on the run, you should have the agility to duck and weave and sprint your way to freedom. Vault over fences, double back, scramble like your life depended on it. That responsiveness isn’t there. Doing a full 180 feels like you’re driving a boat. Doing a figure 8 is even worse. It’s always felt clunky as hell to me. I’ve never played RDR as I’m honestly not willing to try more Rockstar games till they have this sorted out.

And I don't know if it's just a matter of animation blending. I've heard this argument a lot. There are plenty of games out there that animate very smoothly - Naughty Dog games, Ass Creed is generally pretty solid. But they're all super responsive and feel great.

4-Time GIF/Meme God
Gravity Rush

I wanted to play the game and it was a fuck ton of speech to read. Fucking Persona doesn't have that much speech with no animation or something

Sold as soon I got to like an hour of it, just because I got 10 minutes of gameplay or so

I don't think I ever sold a game the same or the next day after the purchase. Best I can do is a few days, either after finishing it or dropping it for good. I've done with Bloodborne, Until Dawn or The Wolf Among Us.

Lollipop Chainsaw. Played it for 10 minutes, quit, ejected the disc and then put it up for sale on the net. Pure garbage.

Guild Wars 2. I bought it digitally and logged in and something just turned me off. I dislike open world and MMO games in general so I refunded it within 5 minutes. Got my money back super quickly

You should have given GTA IV a chance. Imo it has the best driving from any other GTA. Cars actually have weight and dont feel all floaty. I feel people shit on GTA IV for no reason. It was a great game. Maybe not 98 metacritic great though.

Ask me about my Stream Deck
The Bouncer on PS2. I only bought it because I thought Onimusha was out, but it wasn't and I didn't want to leave empty handed.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Was exceptionally disappointed after lots of people told me this game was awesome. Firstly, it's part of the woke Star Wars universe where the empire let's any alien, woman and person of color in. I don't have any problem with representation or even working that into new characters, but it is just dumb in star wars to me because the rebels are the faction with diversity. Also the combat and controls are a complete mess. So dumb that you have all these aliens that are immune to light sabers, wtf. The lock on targeting was straight up horrific, you couldn't lock onto/focus on the enemy immediately in front of you half the time, it would instead focus on an enemy farther away that you aren't even looking at. So pissed at what a mess that ended up being.

my friend back in the day would buy games from a U.K. game shop. They allowed a two week trade back for full refund so he managed to completed the game in that time trade it back and repeat. This was around the days of the N64.

Call of Casual: Advance Warfare would've been Usain Bolt fast, but my family and friends have crummy taste in games to play.

Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3, also The Crew 2 - I don't know why I even picked it up in the first place - if I was doing drugs then I would know why, but like this, don't know, some sneaky bastard probably put marijuana in my drink. God help me.

I bought a used copy of Metroid Other M at GameStop and had that back at the store within the same hour.

I bought a used PS3 so I could play Demon Souls and took that back within two hours. 😆

One Piece: World Seeker on xbox.

I immediately requested a refund.

My dad also refunded a ps3. I really wanted to play it. But you know, games are for kids stigma made me lose that ps3.

I came here to post GTA4. Same. Plus the horrible Russian voice acting was to much to handle.

PS1 Triple Play 97 or 98 (I forget). The choppiest baseball game I've played in history. EA must had paid off mags because those games were getting decent reviews but the game was unplayable. It must had run at 20 fps.

MLB 98 was 10x better.

I actually didnt return it, but sold it to a game store for $40. I think it was $60 cdn.

I would had returned it if I fucking knew EB gave refunds, which they did at the time.

X Rebirth after 30 or so minutes of playtime. Out of my 500 Steam games, it’s the first I’ve requested a refund for. What an awful game.

No Mans Sky, after 2 weeks. But I hated I bought Hudsons adventure Island after about 2 minutes. But there was no telling my mom that.
