I agree that both are getting better, but its still a CGI trailer and people are drooling over it. it shouldn't get a pass. as I said Spiderman in their hands was amazing and I expect high things from this

I don't think they are drooling over the trailer (lets be honest the actual trailer was only there for the reveal of who you'll play...pretty subpar otherwise)

they are drooling over the studio that brought us the amazing Spiderman and Ratchet RA games

and if the "grittiness" of the trailer is anything to go by it will hopefully be a bloody and gory good time that does the character right (such as Origins did on the PS360 back in the day)

I have no doubt that Sabertooth will at least be a boss. a side character or secondary, or atleast in some part referenced. he's very important if not an important piece of a puzzle to logans past.

nah just educated guess, spider 2 is 2023, doubt wolverine will be same year (on ps blog they mentioned its in very early development)

They lost one of their creative heads and got Druckmann installed. Dude has some great ideas, but he *Needs* someone to tell him no and to make his ideas work. There is a reason why TLOU1 is almost universally beloved and TLOU2 is not and that was thanks to Bruce Straley. Without him, Druckmann was able to do whatever he wanted regardless of narrative cohesion or character history.

This is a good point. It's fairly well known that once leaders in any field reach a certain level of success they stop taking advice from people beneath them to balance there faults.

Druckmann has been at the helm of 4 games now most of Sony's other first party's seem to swap there leads in and out more frequently giving fresh perspectives and being open to new ideas.

To truly enjoy this gen, getting in both camps is a must. Both have a solid lineup…and things should even be better when we’re mid gen and everyone’s firing on all cylinders.

I remember a couple of interviews with the devs before the first Spider-Man game came out where they mentioned they studied every previous SM game to try to see what worked and what didn't work. I'm sure they are doing the same for Wolverine.

This is true, they really took to heart the feedback for how web swinging should function in Marvel's spider-man. the main web swinging mechanics in the original spiderman 2. where webs attached to objects/buildings physically rather than stick to invisible barriers in the sky in other previous spider man games.

Unless it's a shorter game like Morales, and more linear and narrative in a Uncharted/GoW way (something I'd prefer) instead of open world, I don't see Wolverine being released until 2024 or 2025.
