Alan Wake Remaster leaked, launches on October 5, 2021 for Xbox, PS4, and PS5 (Up: Confirmed)

It wasnt there in the original. I've played the original 5 times on PC and 360.

On the website they have explicitly said that they werent making any changes to gameplay

Considering the track record from these devs, its safe to say that its probably a bug

Dont know why you are so defensive about this remaster. Do you work at d3t or something?
I’ve played through the 360 version about 2-3 times in the past and the automatic shoulder switching was always there when I played it. I was hoping the remaster had an option to turn that off as it always bugged me. Unfortunately it does not.

Not being hostile like that Hotpocket guy, I’m just saying it’s always been there from my experience.

I appreciate not being hostile and cool about it

You're probably right. I havent played the 360 version for a long time, and I've playing for years the PC version with M+K

They said that they wouldnt change anything regarding gameplay, so maybe they were scared to even touch things such as this

They really should’ve added an option to have it just stick to whatever you set it by toggling RS

The shoulder switch shit was definitely in the original 360 version, I remember it driving me crazy. And it happens in the PS5 version as well, it's not a bug unfortunately
Yep, it threw me as I'd forgotten about it, not played since the DLC's came out back in what 2011? It's legit one of my favorite games and digging the remaster so far

I was playing this again and there’s a way to mitigate the shoulder switching that I remembered. For instance, if you want to keep the camera over the right shoulder, when you turn left, and not switch shoulders, then turn the left stick about halfway. You’ll turn slower, but the camera will stay in the same position. Turning faster by pushing the stick all the way to the left will make it switch shoulders. This applies to both side quests obviously. If you like to play with high aim sensitivity like me then this method isn’t bad even when you have to turn fast.

I tried to upload a clip I made but Neogaf never lets me upload anything from my phone.

Hmm. I just played the 360 version last month and it didn't seem to be an issue like it is now with the remaster. It seems like every time I move it's swapping now. Maybe I'm just remembering it wrong.

You are definitely remembering it wrong. It was driving me crazy on x360 and it still does on SX
