Halo Infinite: 1.5 months from launch, where is the single player trailer?

When do you think they are going to re-reveal the single player?

Since the horrendous trailer last year and 1 year delay, they’ve kind of rebooted the reveal process of this game but we still don’t have anything new for the single player.

Besides COD which is on an annual basis, I don’t know of any AAA publisher that gets so close to launch without a proper reveal trailer 🤔

Who knows.

I'm looking forward to the campaign, but I won't be mad even if they ended up announcing a delay a week before release. It will give me an excuse to dive directly into the MP.

From Joseph Staten's wording we will get a campaign update, maybe in X021

Doesn't Halo usually have crazy marketing campaigns for their new games? I remember the believe campaign for Halo 3 being kinda crazy.
What are they doing for Infinite?
Their statement is that they've gone on full lockdown mode to iron out bugs, etc. They did promise an update on it, so I guess they're just using the MP for promotion till the game goes gold rather than spend resources on PR right now. A tight month long marketing should work for them.

Honestly not worried about it. Haven't enjoyed a Halo campaign since Reach. Hopefully they impress with it like the beta tho.

Im ready for the multiplayer after the flight tho. Best mp demo out of the 3 shooters imo. And my expectations were on the floor for this.
I still lowkey think SP is gonna get moved to 2022. The MP is sick tho so it would be an easy wait.

I doubt they'll delay it again (I mean they had a full extra year..) especially since Phil said they won't be launching SP & MP separately.

you do know that developers don't do PR and the PR don't develop games, right?

two totally different teams that probably don't communicate with each other at all. they can work on the game and market it at the same time lmao

They go hand-in-hand IIRC. For example, plenty of developers have spoken about how developing demos take resources from working on the main game because they have to create a separate build and PR likely needs assets that are polished to use in trailers and such. 343i aren't the first ones to voice it.

When you find out people dont understand "Marketing builds" are made for games with full bells and whistles to capture in game shots

I think they have once again chucked out everything that was set up in Halo 5, just like they did in Halo 5 to everything that was set up in Halo 4, and are afraid of receiving backlash again.

I have no evidence to back this up, but this is the first time ever that a main Halo installment has kept its entire single player campaign completely under wraps.

I've been asking that question in most every Halo thread I see because I really want to see what the game will actually look like but there isn't one yet... Release day is getting closer.

Was the gameplay trailer really THAT horrendous? I think it is definitely exaggerated.

As a game it doesn't look bad at all, could just look a little better visually.

I think the majority of halo fans were happy tbh.

I know this is one of them "concern" threads, but surely you realise after Forza lands, we will probably see more than enough halo campaign footage, as that will be the focus for the marketing team then.

Maybe it gets delayed to launch with co op. Might make more sense.

The multiplayer seems to be the most solid, ready for launch out of the big 3 this year so they could potentially lean on that for 3 to 6 months.

Launching in December is very late in the year.

We have seen 8 minutes of gameplay, of which they said they will improve visually. And there has been one of those story teases. We pretty much know the setup of how it will work. Really, we just wanna see how muich they've actually improved the art if we're being honest. And we've yet to reach the really big milestone of the 20th anniversary on Nov 15th so it might be done to coincide with marketing etc.

If we hadn't seen anything then yeah I'd be the same tbh. But we have

How much did BUNGiE show off Halo 3 single player before it launched? It coming , its only been delayed to fix the graphics after all

iirc, all of the Halo's had big marketing, but hardly showed off actual SP gameplay. It's always been tightly wrapped... I could be wrong though 🤷‍♂️

I hope it'll be delayed until Spring/Summer of 2022. It *SHOULD NOT* launch without co-op play for the campaign anyways.

Gameplay looked great. Visually it looked like Halo 5, maybe a tiny bit better.

I think their biggest fault was revealing the next gen engine trailer in 2018 and then releasing a gameplay trailer 2 years later that looked nothing like the engine trailer. Of course people got disappointed. Console war and next gen hype increased the problem but for the most part they only have themselves to blame.

Still, until Ratchet came nothing had impressed me much visually, Halo Infinite would’ve honestly looked alright at the 2020 launch compared to other games. But expectations for a new Halo game on a new engine by Microsoft biggest 1st party studio is higher than ”alright”. I hope they deliver something truly spectacular once they reveal the updated version. They should replicate the engine trailer scenes in-game just to show it wasn’t all fake.

Yeah, I mean it has to run on a xbox one so ofc it's gonna look like beans. I'm kidding, it looks great in some scenes but you can tell they've had to hold it back.

Forza Horizon 5 has to run on XB1, Horizon Forbidden West has to run on PS4. Still looks impressive.

But in the end it’s all about this:

It was shown before XSX was even ready and that’s unfortunately the expectations people had last year.

Oh for real, I haven’t watched this before. This is the same situation Killzone 2 was in on the ps3

I’m massively looking forward to MP although I’m not convinced that the SP will be great. Nothing shown on it since last year is very telling.

It just means they are supremely confident about the single player, and just like the community has been saying, it will be an easy lock for GOTY so what's the point in spoiling it?
