Mine arrives in a few days.

Why couldn't they use the og n64 plug with adapter like they did with smash and the cube controller :messenger_loudly_crying:

Would have been incredible to have a fresh supply of 64 controllers for us that have the actual console.

Agreed until that moment you actually try to hook up your n64.
But i assume some company will try to make a dongle adapter for it..

genesis has it snes has it

I know it's blasphemy. But the joytick should have been swapped for a modern one. They crap out so fast.

I know I know ya ya

Is that a dig at 64 image quality? Don't use your vizio with composite, bro.

No thanks, unless latency is super super low

Not blasphemy at all. I’m a huge n64 fanboy but I will never not hate that shit. The white dust that accumulated rendered them all shit after just a few months.

holy fucking shit..

does it work ON PC.
why is nobody testing this..

I have one arriving soon but i will never use it on that sheit nso service
Oh I get it, you like emulation.

But the real thing is best by far.

What tf were you doing, havin mario party sleepovers for 3 months straight? !

My controller that came in the console box is a touch loose, but very usable. That pikachu console that i've used since like 2004. But obviously I agree that the sticks should be more durable.

meh I am a bit in between I have most consoles set to run on an upscaler.
still use a CRT for consoles that don't like it. (n64)

mainly use a FPGA based device for ease (MiSTer)
And well just retroarch with the right cores.

you can also try those sweet cables from the UK RGC shop.. almost all my cables are from them.
Have heard good things if you're on budget, luckily though I picked up the purple monster cables for a deal, they're the best you could get. Thing is built like a tank! Monster used to be unbeatable, I have their Wii component cables too.

Spukc Spukc those cables look super cheap, spaghetti thin on the left and right stereo cable on their s video set. Might still get a good signal, I don't know, but build quality isn't there.

I'm guessing you've never seen how older cables were built.

They all look thin and cheap. But i'd try them over chinese Amazon shite if I had to. From what I can tell, only their scart cables are not hilariously thin.

I'd show you in person if i could, but you could just look at the monster set on ebay. Even the fittings are super heavy, feels like it will last forever.

Nope you see I was a hardcore fanboy back then and insisted there wasn’t a problem. Therefore to live up to my own delusions I always kept things pristine. Especially since I was like 15 at the time and couldn’t afford to keep replacing them. The white powder issue was definitely a thing. Even if you brushed it out regularly and avoided games like Mario Party (which I did - that wasn’t allowed in my console for this reason)

You had me going for a sec bro I thought you were trolling lol. Yeah I don't see how the signal would be good... I heard good things about them years ago, don't know what they looked like.

Oh yeah, i've seen the dust too, I thought you meant you were wrecking a controller every 3 months!

Stick rant incoming..

I did receive the N64 controller an hour ago. While the overall build and quality are excellent, the stick placement is just plain wrong. Revolutionary my ass. Holding it from the middle to use the stick makes it awkward for my right hand. Yes my right hand, not the left, because now it's not gripping the right part properly, leaving my palm open. The stick is also very slippery. My thumb keeps slipping off it. I'll need to buy a grip for it.

Using the dpad and buttons though is very nice. Everything feels right and in place again. Quality is excellent.

They tried to do something with that stick but it really didn't work out. No wonder this console failed miserably vs the PS. It just feels like an unfinished experiment. Like they haven't done enough QA, just threw the stick in the middle and were done. How did this even get the green light is beyond me. How did anyone at Nintendo actually try holding it and not think this is uncomfortable? They could've easily placed the stick just diagonally under the dpad, in that empty space between the dpad and where the stick is now. That would've been perfect. Easily and comfortably reachable with my left thumb. And also could've had a grip on it so thumbs don't slip. That literally took me 5 minutes to figure out 😐

Could've defo been revolutionary then.
