Is Ps5 Skyrim special edition the complete game?

I see that Skyrim has 2 editions. Special and anniversary. I know the anniversary comes with the creation club content. But does the “special edition” which is $14 come with the normal DLC? It seems really cryptic and I’m not understanding. I didn’t think they had an edition that didn’t have the base 3 DLC games with it but now I’m not sure.

Yes the Special Edition comes with all the expansions (On PC anyway, i cant see why it would be different on console)
Its honestly a waste going for the Anniversary version when the prices are that different.

EDIT. I'd Google it just to be sure.

SE is basically skyrim legendary edition (vanilla + all dlc) but with ps4/xb1 enhancements.

Anniversary is SE but with some ps5/SX enhancements as well as bonus mods from the paid mod community and some other add-ons (like being able to fish)

OP is right, i had the same question.
On the anniversary edition it says it includes Skyrim SE + DLC, making us wonder if the SE includes the DLC.
Bad marketing
Its probably been done like that on purpose, to make the Anniversary Edition more desirable, but on PC you get everything with the Special Edition, and looking at the pic MrMoose posted, its the same on console.

It has all the DLC as mentioned above, but it also has the XSX / PS5 upgrades included for free since the last patch, as well as a couple of basic Creation Content packs. AE literally is just the rest of the Creation Content packs bundled together on top of this.

So in order to avail of the higher Rez and higher frame rates on PS5 you'd need to purchase the anniversary edition? also can you mod the console version to look like the heavily modded PC one with increased textures, better characters, more detailed towns etc?

It's early, my back hurts, and I'm confused.
Will Skyrim SE on PS4 be upgradeable with Anniversary features when played on PS5?
Either I'm stupid (perfectly plausible) or I'm just not awake enough yet to see the info I need.

Ikr?
Isn't it only in the planning phase or something right now?
What the hell have they been doing all this time? Playing bingo?

Starfield has been development hell up to the point they had to sell the company... Fallout 4 released in 2015 and starfield won't release until 2023 so yeah 8 year dev cycles are not sustainable (Fallout 76 was developed by a subsidiary).

Keep in mind that neither version had any DLC on disc, if that's something that interests you.

Actually the anniversary edition should just be the same disc of the special edition, with a different cover. Pretty cheap ass.

This it the correct answer.

I thought they were on the disc, I can't see anything under manage content, I'll do some testing.
Going to delete the game, go offline so no updates kick in and check.

What? The DLC is 100% on disk. There is no such thing as the special edition without the dlc.

Bethesda is not new to this kind of shaneningans, Fallout 4 GOTY for example had just a voucher.
But I'm very happy to be wrong in Skyrim's case.
So you just post completely untrue things you pull from your ass because “Bethesda bad”

Fallout couldn’t do that because then the game would be a seperate game to the systems, with different store listings and achievements. They didn’t want to do that.

I care about on disc content but I had incorrect info in this case, I apologize.

I think they are on disc, version 1.0 has them listed under add-ons in the disc menu but I had to start a new game so I can't go to them at the moment. Must've not played it on my PS5 so no old saves stored :messenger_weary:

Unfortunatelly I can confirm that Special Edition disk does indeed comes with all DLCs.
Unless this is kinda a new thing with new disks.
