Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Neck and neck? Didn't PS5 surpass this number mid last year? There's the second half of 2021 including holiday that hasn't been factored in.

It may not be the 2.5 to 1 split we got used to, but it doesn't appear to be THAT close.

Neck and neck relative to the utter mauling One got last generation at least lol.

The Series X and S are still the same gen/family even if they aren't the same specs.
The only one that shouldn't be counted is the Switch Lite because that thing don't switch!

yeah, but PS5 was extremely shortage in Oct-Nov and early part of December.....if I'm not mistaken, XSS beat PS5 in November NPD. PS5 was estimated at 500K in November, XSS 600K+

Let’s make it clear that this is the fastest selling Xbox ever. And PS5 is at about 16M vs 18.5M for PS4 which is the fastest selling Playstation. So they are both supplying a good number of consoles, the demand is just off the charts.

PS5 is probably around 18 million if not more. It's quite far
Incorrect. Sony lowered PS5 projects to 15million for fiscal year end a few months back. The fiscal year end is end of March 2022

So there is no way they are at 18 million. They were expecting to sell 15 million by end of March 2022

That’s 15M for the fiscal year, not in total.

If it's true, this just means there is a lot of consoles with the retailers. this is not sold through to the customers.

they flooded the market with Series S, next quarter they'll ship way less.
lol and there it is. The claim of channel stuffing. seriously, any length to try and make this seem like its not real? They are selling everything they are shipping. is there stock, yes for the most part, but nothing close to "flooding" the market.

Lmao PS5 was above 13M in September. How the hell is it at 15M by march 2022?
The 15M is for the full fiscal year not overall PS5 sales. That would be tragic.

Oh I see what you are saying. 15 million for that entire fiscal year, however I'm not sure how many units you think they sold prior to march 2021, but it was even more supply constrained after launch in november. They certainly didn't sell 2 or 3 million units in that time frame to put them at 17 - 18 like you guys are claiming.

You're right...it sold over 7M until march 2021, not 3M

Sony's PlayStation 5 console has now sold 7.8 million units as of 31st March 2021

13.4 or 13.5 as of the end of September.
CY Q4 last year was 4.5 so if they hit that, it's 18m.

I personally think it's a small decline so I would say 17.5m when sony announce in 3 weeks.

This sounds about right. So the PS5 probably has close to a 50% lead on the Xbox Series consoles as of now. We'll know for sure in a few week.

They didn't? They sold >10M by July 18th, you think they sold 7M between March and July? Big, if true.
