At work today I got a large pre-made crispy chicken salad that had around 8 small pieces of chicken. Since it was a large salad I knew I couldn't get a piece of chicken in every bite so I had to ration it out until the end. As usual, I ration poorly so I had most of the chicken left for the last bites.

So how many bites should include a meat when eating a salad?

I think as long as you have meat in every couple of bites it is good, but I need more is dressing covering ever bite. Give me that Blue Cheese.

If it's a great fresh salad with tasty dressing, then less meet please! But otherwise I rather like to have more meet since many restaurants do shit salads.

I go for about 8 ounces / half a pound of meat minimum with each meal. Love getting my mouth filled up with meat.

Should? I don't know about that. I don't care for meat in my salad. That's a no-go for me, but to each their own. I try to only eat meat every other day, and I eat a salad every day. But I do try to eat some type of protein each day -- beans, etc. But man, I loves me some crunchy vegetables. I throw radishes, zucchini, carrots that have been sliced thin, cauliflower...I'm glad once the greens are gone so I can just have those nice crunchy bites. But I imagine it's still healthy to have meat in there, especially chicken breast.

The folks that made the salad spinner came up with the correct meat ratio for each salad.

Just check meatspin dot com for the deets.

There have been times that I have been eating a salad and thinking "there is too much meat in this salad".

There needs to be a balance. 1/3 meat, 1/3 cheese/dressing, 1/3 vegetables .

I have had so many people make fun of me for this but the only salad I eat regularly (almost daily) is the wendys chicken caesar salad with an extra chicken breast thrown in. The part that everyone calls me out for is that I eat it without dressing (I hate salad dressing) and I eat it by hand so I can get the ratio exactly right. Otherwise it’s not good to me. So every bite has a good chunk of lettuce and chicken, and a little bit of cheese.

Not much really. If i want a ton of meat, I'd rather skip the salad and get a steak. I go for a salad when my bowels need flushing.

None.

Now, meat with salad. Absolutely! That way you can choose how much meat you can have in each mouthful. Or, you know, just enjoy a salad without meat.

Do you at least wash your hands first?
