According to a new message from AccountNGT on Twitter, which has previously had accurate scoops related to other upcoming video games, PlayStation is very much looking into an Infamous revival. Although this new report in question didn't have a lot to share on what a new PS5 version of Infamous could look like, it wasn't the only Sucker Punch-developed title that was said to be returning. "I can corroborate that a new Sly Cooper and a new Infamous are in development," said the latest statement from the account.

Infamous 2 was one of my fave games on PS3. It was a pretty epic game and FAR better than the one on PS4. I dont know what happened with that game but it felt more like a tech demo, and didnt have any of the epicness of the PS3 games imo. It doidnt even have fantastical enemies and giant monsters, etc.

Sucker Punch Productions -- a PlayStation-owned studio -- is hiring for multiple positions, including a Senior Combat Designer and a Technical Combat Designer. As you would expect, Sucker Punch doesn't say in the job listings what applicants will be working on, but the developer does note that all applicants as a "requirement" "must-have played Ghost of Tsushima and understand its core gameplay systems." Why would applicants need to have played Ghost of Tsushima as a requirement if the game in question wasn't a sequel? There's no other explanation, at least not of the reasonable variety. This all but confirms a sequel is in development, which has yet to be confirmed.

Word. DLC was a joke too. Infamous 2 was ridiculously good...

Yes I know, what I'm saying is that I'm glad they will also continue to release Infamous franchise.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Even though this developer is certainly established (Sly Cooper and Infamous) it's still rare to factor a historical samurai game into today's mainstream casual gaming world of pubg, and warzone (Ghost of Tsushima) infamous ps5 will try to save the rogue super hero powers genre, I’ll take it.

This should showcase some true nexgen gameplay. If not, all hope is lost. Not a huge fan of the series but carnage with hands and powers can work for me if it's a graphical powerhouse

Last Infamous game stunk. I would play a sequel tho. Superhero games like that are a dead genre seemingly.

Good release a remastered collection for PS5 and PC first to gauge interest. Second son would look great on PC.

Glad its on production. I dont want it to end it up like splinter cell. Now I got something to look forward to.

I love inFamous. The first two were better overall games, but the neon effects in Second Son and First Light still look amazing. That could be an amazing game for raytracing, if they could pull it off well.

OK please be true. Played the OG when it launched and loved it. Part two came out and it was even better. I've played through Infamous 2 through PSNOW again.

Wasn't the biggest Delsin fan but of course played the PS5 plus version, the gameplay saves it, and it's great.

I'd play whatever but would love a remake of 1 because Cole was the best.

I prefer Ghost of Tsushima 2 but if this Infamous has Cole or a new main character, I'm down. I didn't like Delsin

Oh fuck, what a huge step backwards from Ghost of Tsushima, they finally learned how to make vehicles/mounts work and now they're going back to the dark ages of "every car you enter would have exploded because we don't understand how to make an open world with driving".

I think Ghost of Tsushima was too successful for Sucker Punch not to continue the series.

That said, I personally wish they would cancel any sequel. I was bored to tears in Tsushima. I love the Infamous series, and was disappointed that it was shelved to clear space for GoT’s super long dev cycle. We could have had two banger & refined Infamous games in that time period.

I can see another infamous because of the popularity of the superhero genre right now.

Sly Cooper doesn't make much sense unless it is a pretty small team working on it.

I'm confident they are all in on GoT2.
