STOP begging for Easy Mode in Elden Ring!

I hate it when Gaming Journalists and Twitter co-op actual accessibility problems Elden Ring and Fromsoft can improve on and make it all about easy mode. Gaming is for Everyone, but not all games are for everyone.

If you don't like a difficulty of a game, just play something else geez.

I'm a newbie player and I'd say it isn't so much the difficulty, it is the insane difficulty spikes or perhaps just unbalanced enemies early in the game that is the problem. The knights in stormveil are more difficult than virtually any of the mini bosses that I have fought so far. It makes me not want to play the game and honestly I'm falling off hard now due to this. Probably a 99% chance that I never finish this game cause of this unbalanced shit.

I have a friend who is a total noob at Souls games that recently picked this up because of all the buzz. She was all like, "damn this game is hard, I suck."

I gave her a few pointers and is getting the hang of it. She is now locked in and addicted to it with late nights playing.

She never once asked for an easy mode.

Elden Ring's design already makes it as easy as you want it to be and it is inherently probably the most accessible From game. If you hit a wall turn around and explore. From my experience there is always enough content at your level or below for you to complete out on the map that will buff you up to a level where that wall is no longer a wall. Then you play until the next wall, and repeat.

I get the impression the game is designed around these artificial difficultly spikes (as well as summoning), in order to force you to explore. From seems to love teaching players in the most obtuse manner possible.

In all fairness, getting to actually USE Azur’s Comet effectively is pretty challenging in itself. Long wind up, if an enemy moves sliiiightly too much in any direction it will miss and then you can’t move quickly… Can only go about 10 degrees up or down. I would argue that just the usage of AC is putting yourself in a lot of danger. Honestly the real easy mode is getting a rot weapon and then applying the poison passive ash of war.

Nah.
Just play on pc and use something like WeMod or Cheat Engine.

No need to be dictated by other gamers.
Don't tell me what I can and can't have based on their preference.
Some people will still prefer to keep complaining/begging instead of play on pc for whatever reason...

It's not unbalanced, you're just bad. Get better at the game and upgrade your weapon.

Just Astrologer in general is easy mode compared to a melee character.

Ignore/run past them?

They added spirit summoning, I would say that's enough for an easy mode.
Yep, just taking aggro from some bosses is huge.

There is an easier castle if you head south rather than Stormveil. Maybe FROM wanted people to explore elsewhere if they find it difficult? I know I did.

This.

As far as I’m concerned, once you’ve paid for it, you should be free to engage the game on whatever terms you want (offline play, at least). Whether you want to make things easy and use cheat engine to make yourself an invincible god or make things more difficult by playing with one hand tied behind your back and a lit Roman Candle shooting fireballs out of your ass, that’s your call.

Elden Ring is definitely easier than other From games. I think they hit a good balance here.

Also I don't see many people asking for an easy mode anymore.

Options are ALWAYS a good thing.

No one is gonna touch your preciated ego inflating hard mode.

People have different needs and tastes, and as I always say, have a lot more going to it than just a hard combat, and the combat itself is acting like a huuuge barrier to experiment it, and its normal that people with limited time or low tolerance to frustration asks for that barrier to be removed.

So, why not better stop mandating what people should want to play?

The game is busted in 10 different ways in terms of difficulty. I couldn't care less if they add an easy mode, but it would be nice if they made a competently balanced action game. And if they don't, then they can listen to criticism about it.

You're in a huge bubble if you can't even tolerate dissenting opinion on Elden Ring. The gameplay portion is a giant regression from Sekiro. REEE is actually having more interesting discussions about the game, and less people seem to lose their minds at criticism. When REEE has better conversation, then you know something is off in how people here are acting.

I didn't realize people were saying this about Elden Ring, it's pretty easy IMO especially considering how you can over level and use summons, lots of OP builds too.

Haven't spent much time on forums lately, but I've noticed the Elden Ring butt kissing too. We are definitely in the honeymoon period of the game. Any dissenting opinion is immediately mocked, labeled as uncultured, ignorant, etc. Any game journalist who doesn't kiss the game's butt would be laughed out of the industry.

Griffin Gaming dug deeper in to this video and it turns out there’s like 1 or 2 nobody’s on Twitter who asked for it, and their tweets had no likes. Whoop de do.

I'd agree that the game is not balanced, but that's one of the things I like about it. Super smooth difficulty curves bore me to death.

The game is only hard if you ignore magic and bleed, actually, bleed is so powerful that i defied myself to never use it anymore because it was taking away the challenging aspect of the game

I am absolutely garbage at this, and all other souls style games, but I don’t want an easy mode. I had to summon two players at level 30 to beat Margit and I wouldn’t change a single thing about how this game is made.

I noticed some inputs "dropped" too. But they are rare.
