How about no.There is an easy mode.
To be fair, the Input buffer sometimes is straight up broken, I've had many many examples of where a roll didn't work and then suddenly I'd roll, its rare though but does happenThe game is busted in 10 different ways in terms of difficulty. I couldn't care less if they add an easy mode, but it would be nice if they made a competently balanced action game. And if they don't, then they can listen to criticism about it.
You're in a huge bubble if you can't even tolerate dissenting opinion on Elden Ring. The gameplay portion is a giant regression from Sekiro. REEE is actually having more interesting discussions about the game, and less people seem to lose their minds at criticism. When REEE has better conversation, then you know something is off in how people here are acting.
After 150+ hours, I think that Elden Ring has the worst bosses of any Soulsborne
I've played 150+ hours of 'Elden Ring' and I've beaten it twice already. I love it, I think it's a wonderful adventure and one of the best games of the generation. But, at the same time, I can't shake the feeling that it's no better than the rest of Soulsborne in almost any of the areas in which...www.resetera.com
The input buffer in Elden Ring is the worst I've ever experienced
Was looking at some FGC takes on ER and they really encapsulated my biggest problem with ER. Phew boy, the input buffer in this game is the worst in any game I've ever played. I'm really confused on how this made it past playtesting. The queue length for actions in this game is just absurd. You...www.resetera.com
No shame in this. I tackled a couple on my first run through Stormveil, but soon got fed up and just ran past. I got my own back later, when I went back at about level fifty and stomped them into the dirt.Ignore/run past them?
this is the point. You can make it as easy or challenging as you want. The game is only hard if you ignore magic and bleed, actually, bleed is so powerful that i defied myself to never use it anymore because it was taking away the challenging aspect of the game
The opportunity to customize our genitals is far more important than easy mode!
I hate it when Gaming Journalists and Twitter co-op actual accessibility problems Elden Ring and Fromsoft can improve on and make it all about easy mode. Gaming is for Everyone, but not all games are for everyone.
If you don't like a difficulty of a game, just play something else geez.
I said this once before but I’m going to repeat myself. After finishing this game and starting a new file with a dex/int character and seeing how the game is extremely easy with this build… I feel the discussion about this game will severely change over time.Haven't spent much time on forums lately, but I've noticed the Elden Ring butt kissing too. We are definitely in the honeymoon period of the game. Any dissenting opinion is immediately mocked, labeled as uncultured, ignorant, etc. Any game journalist who doesn't kiss the game's butt would be laughed out of the industry.
Demons Souls....OBVIOUSLY! That game's boss fights were mostly gimmicky, once you know their fatal flaw they become piss easy even with melee build.I found ER boss fights more difficult than both Demon Souls and DS3 (which are the only 2 other souls games I’ve played)
Those games have bosses balanced around SP play through, this one is balanced around coop and spirits, it’s no surprise when you think about how much they emphasized this in the marketing of the game (along with sorcery)… the bosses are much harder here because they’re not meant to be fought solo. And even then, some of them are really BS.I found ER boss fights more difficult than both Demon Souls and DS3 (which are the only 2 other souls games I’ve played)
I’m not trying to act all “git gud” as I in fact suckPeople have the right to request stuff like Easy Mode.
Devs equally have the right to ignore such requests.
I eventually got past that part but at the cost of making me absolutely hate the game and therefore I will drop it. I'm about 15 hours in and I'm likely done. I had a full free day yesterday and couldn't bring myself to even turn it on. So whether you think it is perfectly balanced or not, for me the game design is bad enough that I regret my purchase. It's not unbalanced, you're just bad. Get better at the game and upgrade your weapon.
I dont know I felt Demons Souls was easiest, even King Allant was such easy fight compare to Malenia.elden ring is probably the easiest from software game yet…
early game yes, late game good luck with that lolThere is an easy mode.
I found the ER bosses more difficult than both DS3 and Demon Souls bosses even when using spirit ashes. Those games have bosses balanced around SP play through, this one is balanced around coop and spirits, it’s no surprise when you think about how much they emphasized this in the marketing of the game (along with sorcery)… the bosses are much harder here because they’re not meant to be fought solo. lmao at people still acting as From's productions are some kind of hardcore games whereas they have become more mainstream than Assassins creed of far cry.
in DS3 on my strength build I can literally break the stance and stagger pretty much every mob and go HAM on them. The game has so many check points and marks your rune locations. It's already easy mode. Weapon is constantly sharp and never goes dull or breaks. Jump unnatural distances on foot. Skyrim up rocks. Fall longer and still survive. What are legs? Easy. The gitgud mechanic is gone pretty much.
So annoying to not be able to break the poise of crucible knights.in DS3 on my strength build I can literally break the stance and stagger pretty much every mob and go HAM on them.
in ER, most enemies and pretty much all bosses can you hit 100 times while you wind up with a big heavy swing from a str weapon.
They don't seem harder, but the health pools seem much higher.I found ER boss fights more difficult than both Demon Souls and DS3 (which are the only 2 other souls games I’ve played)

believe it or not, but some degree of responsibility falls on the consumer to do some research on something before they buy itIf you buy something that is too hard but cannot get a refund what then? There are a lot of disappointed people because the game was so hyped. Do you try to make them happy so they buy the next one, or say fuck you, I don't care because I have your money and my fanatics would cry like babies if I gave an easy mode they would never use because apparently hard games with an option for an easy mode is not for them.
That is their fault for buying a Fromsoftware game. If you buy a game from a company known for making hard games with a singular difficulty , it turning out hard with a singular difficulty is a ""Pikachu shock"If you buy something that is too hard but cannot get a refund what then? I propose auto-pilot mode, where the game plays itself and you earn all the achievements while you watch something else on Netflix. And what happens if they add an easy mode and people still suck, what's next?

*Looks at Elden Ring's 12 Million copies* hmmm. Sounds like what they are doing is working.Gatekeeping at its finest. ELDEN RING and FS games in general are not going to suffer because some people don't care for the level of in-game gating that occurs so let people offer their opinions.
Ridiculous statement that only serves to make games even more niche.
*Looks at Elden Ring's 12 Million copies* hmmm. Sounds like what they are doing is working.
They don't have to if it isn't in their vision. Cause not every game needs or should be mainstream or cater to the mainstream audiences.Great. Now make it work for millions of other players.

stop trying to control how they choose to make their games. you sound mental.Great. Now make it work for millions of other players.
Exactly. The game is already selling on the same level as some of the biggest Triple AAA titles around, so apparently what Fromsoft is doing isn't hurting them at all.stop trying to control how they choose to make their games. you sound mental.
they released it the way they wanted it, and it did really, really well.
they don't need to compromise on what their vision of the game was to make some idiots who suck at video games on the internet happy.
Why should anyone get a refund over a games difficulty? If you buy something that is too hard but cannot get a refund what then? There are a lot of disappointed people because the game was so hyped.
