Jason Schreier says his sources just told him God of War Ragnarök is still slated for 2022

Now now, let’s get this right, he said there were two employees, one he called the First Hand and the other Second Hand, whatever that’s all about.

Most people masturbate with their dominant hand. Which is what first hand means. The second hand isn’t as effective but it will get the job done.

Trust me I’m an expert.

For the sake of the reputation of Sony Santa Monica.. I hope he's right

I mean guys.. let's put this into perspective:
- 2018: god of war released
- fall 2020: god of war ragnarok announced for a 2021 release date

- 2021: god of war ragnarok announced to be cross gen and delayed to 2022
- fall 2021: first god of war ragnarok trailer & glimpse at gameplay released, with a middling reaction

- 2022 : not a glimpse of any new news regarding the game all year

Could you imagine if it got delayed to 2023? I mean seriously guys. We're looking at 5 years for a game that does not seem to be that game of a jump of a sequel to the average person.. additionally, it being announced for 2021 and then NOT released till two years later?! The embarrassment would be immeasurable.. I really want to know what's going on inside of Sony Santa Monica, because this output is poor.
For one, the voice actor Chris Judge had multiple surgeries and couldn't walk

Two, you have no idea how much content or what content is in the game yet to say it's not that big of a jump for a sequel

Have to disagree. As an expert myself, using your non-dominant hand gives you the feeling of someone else doing the job, improving the experience.

That would be such a troll, now I’m hoping they’ll do that 😂

(But I really think it’ll be early 2023 or late December 2022, I don’t think anyone big wants to go to battle against Elden Ring this year)
I'll let you in on a little secret, no big company gives af about the TGA.
They'll position it for the optimal financial gain, not for a pretentious award no one really cares about.

Halo has 9 realms, had a hospitalized VA and has many new enemies, new combat moves, etc?
Did you even read what I was responding to? He was talking about God of war already being delayed and how it would look if it was delayed again. I responded that it reminded me of halo. Halo infinite was delayed a year and even then it came out half baked. And that was after a long cycle. If anything I was criticizing halo.

I have no idea how that has anything to do with what you posted.

When Sony Santa Monica are saying they are the only official source of info and to stop the madness maybe it's time to just stop the delayed/not delayed madness and wait for actual news/updates.

Hmm and yet it’s getting bigger and bigger each year and is almost like gaming’s Oscar show now. Very fashinating evolution if no one really care about it.

it's getting bigger because people watch it like E3, they want the new announcements and trailers.

noone gibes a flying fuck about the meaningless awards in-between the trailers

Hard to Kill
Everyone can relax now. It’s all but officially CONFIRMED. /s

Oh Serrano said so too ....
Well don't worry guys my sources have confirmed me that Ragnarok is indeed for 2022
I can even give you the exact date....

I don't have sources, just like Serrano

Note to self* remember to edit the date after it was announced to pretend to be an insider.

That's not how the Oscar's work. For your consideration billboard serve as both marketing for DVD and possibly another theatrical run while self fellating the industry. TGA is strictly fellatio.

Trailers are definitely a factor but so far I haven’t noticed that nobody care about the awards, and if two big titles would compete for the big award then you can bet that people would care.

well, it's sad that those people exist, but sure, some do actually care.
but without the announcements this show wouldn't even be half its size

The game industry loves awards so much they used to give awards to themselves during E3 for games that were not even out. We had GoTY edition of games that hardly won any GoTY award (if any), recently we have MS and MS fans trying to push the narrative that they won the PoTY award, something nobody ever heard about before, all for bragging rights.

You might think they don't care but they sure do, just like Hollywood cares about their awards, they go on big PR campaigns and invest money to try and win them.

TGA has a problem with respectability, that's why it will never be the Oscars of video games (it always has some silly categories and it's wrapped in adds) but Geoff will keep trying.

That I can agree on. It’s masterfully crafted to tbh, lots of hype from popular games competing, big industry devs show up to fetch the awards, and there are new game unveils. I don’t like the cut off date in the middle of November, it makes no sense for me, but I still like the actual event.

Oh trust me I know they care. The reason any of these game awards exist is so gaming can reach a place where 'prestige' can be place ahead of game. I don't mind the sentiment, but I don't give a shit. Just make prestigious shit.

Edit: At least the Oscars have enough self respect to not feature World Premieres.

But on the other hand, no one slapped Geoff Keighley on stage, yet.

The award has only been running for ten years. And it's not an arbitrary award, it's basically just a calculation which publisher did best on Metacritic. It's the closest you can get to an objective award. It's still flawed in ways, of course.
