Jason Schreier says his sources just told him God of War Ragnarök is still slated for 2022

And that stops the entire production of the game? They can’t have someone else do the mocap?

They have reasons why they wanted to use him for that. I guess they really saw him as extremely important for the main characters performance.

And I’m honestly happy they waited until he was fully recovered instead of hiring somebody else. Really loved his performance in the first game and I’m excited to see it again.

Again, I never did. It obviously has development issues though. I done talking. If you are not going to be honest then I won’t waste both of our time.

You have any proof of developmental issues?

The only thing that was said was that it was delayed due to the actors injuries. There’s no shred of evidence of developmental problems. With Halo Infinite we saw the issues in the reveal. Something that can’t be said for Ragnarok.

Did he get hit by a car? I mean sounds like he had his hips crushed and suffered some severe injuries in other parts. Wouldn’t be surprised if his recovery was slow.
Yeah whatever it was it sounds like some big damage was done to need all of those and yeah after the surgeries you aren't close to 100% for a long time if ever

Being healthy and in great shape like Chris Judge helps with your body's recovery though so that's good

Still it’s pretty awesome of them to want to keep working with him after all that.
I agree. Instead of doing another talent search they stayed loyal to him and never disclosed why the game was delayed. I have a huge respect for Cory and the rest of that team for how they went about it. It was pure class

Definitely and that’s probably why I overreacted to what C Corndog was saying. Pretty cool that SSM delayed the game so they can get him to play Kratos again. Like C Corndog said they could have just dumped him for someone else but they didn’t. I guess for Cory and his team the relationship mattered more to them than getting the game out.

Exactly and not to mention, they would have had to take time to find a worthy replacement and redo everything that was previously captured with Chris Judge. But yeah you can tell that Chris Judge, Cory, Sunny and all of them gel very well like a family

I’m officially worried, I was so sure they’d reveal it at the SGF.
It has slipped from a
85% ”its releasing this year”
To a
50% ”its releasing this year”.
Unless they do a very showcase/state of play in late summer(which would be kinda wierd since it’s less than 6 months left of 2022) it’s definitely a 2023 game.

Not a big worry personally, still got a lot of backlog and fucking Callisto Protocol to look forward to.

The only thing that makes sense to me is if we get a State of Play this week or next week. otherwise that game is for sure 2023.
