One thing I never understand, they always give you a plastic case when you get a steelbook. Why give me two cases?
I do wonder if that has DRM. They got it on a USB stick.

Game is fun. I made a 2 player coop online session with a friends. Had some trouble with disconnection at the beginning but it was fine after.

I was excepting something along the line of SoR 4 on the difficulty but it's much more casual and less deep.
But still really fun to play. One thing bother me a bit : is there any downside to constantly taunting to refill our Super and then spamming it ?

Not sure it will have the replayability of SoR 4 for me but will spend some time on it in coop. Challenges are a nice idea.

One is for display only and one is for actual use mate. Basically for collectors.

How is the combat i'm comparison to streets of rage 4? turtles games were a simpler beat em up. Have they added any depth or is it pretty much turtles in time?
Buy it. Its not SoR4 level but its much better than tmnt arcade. The characters feel slightly different.

Normal attack combo
Rising attack
Back attack
Grabs
Special
Air special
Back dash
Back dash special
Back dash attack
Forward dash attack x2
Jump attack x2

Its solid. Movement is a little floaty. Easy to get cheesed a bit by enemies. No real defensive options. But its a good beat em up.

yeah played a little bit. Really enjoyed the first 5 levels that I got through. Also played a little with different characters and solo versus with a party. Nice experience overall. The combos are fun and satisfying even though the enemies seem to die too fast for most of the combos

Played a bit today, pretty good! Tomorrow I'm going to try it with 5 people, looking forward to it. I definitely appreciate that the game supports up to 6 co-op, most games stop at 4 so I really dig that they did 6.

Can you have separate accounts share a game in Steam? Really, I have never done that on the consoles. Lone wolf.

The most over popular Ninja Turtle. I didn't have 1 friend where Michelangelo wasn't their favourite lol

Everyone loves him because he is considered the Alpha even though Leonardo is the leader

I'm personally a Raph fan. The not so popular, rebellious and unpredictable Ninja Turtle!
I like Donatello the best. May have been the movie (his humor) and game (his weapon range) that sold me.

Beat it on normal tonight (story mode) by spamming specials and taunts over and over. Hoping arcade (and hard mode) is more of a challenge.

Played it and really liked it. But it just leaves me wanting the arcade collection even more.

Also was hoping for more animated sequences. Won’t lie, I was a little let down by the end of it. Really fun mechanics, but less interesting world than the other games, imo

Played through this today with a bunch of people randoms. First time making my one ‘looking for group’ post and I think I got the hang of inviting. I used it before to join, but never to host. Fun game to play and enjoyed it a lot. It was a good use of time. Wish there were more games with coop out there. If anyone wants to plough through some games on Xbox lmk. Curious what the replay value is? Unlocking characters? Powering them all up?

I bought it and completed it once. It's a masterpiece, one of the best beat'em ups ever made. In addition to stuff from TMNT it includes many things from other beat'em ups and Street Fighter games.

Visuals, gameplay and sountrack are top tier. As of now it's my GOTY.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
I'm tempted to buy this. Nostalgia, and it looks really fun. But I always end up bouncing off beat 'em ups for whatever reason.

Great game. Only complaint I have is not being able to limit the number of party members. 6 players is absolute chaos and not really fun anymore.

... sounds like I need to play SOR4?

Anyways, I am playing through this here and there with a few friends, it's quite fun. Only did 3 player so far, wouldn't mind getting it up to the full 6.
A fun playthrough, definitely worth the 22 bucks, and wouldn't mind if they can get some DLC stages & characters out.

The game is awesome but the game needs a difficulty mode where the special attack is nerfed. I think the only downside currently is the animation wait time when you are taunting where you can take damage.

Great game but man, I dont want the overworld/story mode and arcade mode didn't let me save.

I spent 2 hours playing through the game since the arcade mode wouldnt let me save my progress. Im all for limited lives and continues, but this is a very long game.

The other entries are less than half the length of this game, so their lack of saving had never been an issue.

Also I feel it can be really hard to do some of the double tap inputs or throws (Switch with Switch Pro Controller).

My hands are very sore now.

There is a collectors PC version on Limited Run. I have been thinking about getting it to have a physical copy.

This will probably be a collector's item.
I'd be very weary of ordering from Limited Run Games.

Funny that with both this game and SoR4 I almost ordered from LRG but last minute big retailers revealed they would sell physical as well.

Go on Cheapassgamer to see how LRG treats their buyers.

Yeah. Sometimes, Limited Run will have easier to get copies on Best Buy and Amazon. They got some of Shredder's Revenge coming out on Amazon.

Can't believe that such a game actually made it to our era.

Game is an absolute blast. Feels very close to Sonic Mania : a ton of fun condensed into a short, intense experience. Nowadays, everything is diluted in hours of tedious and repetitive gameplay. TMNT is pure fun, a love letter to the fans. They took months to craft minutes of pure joy. This is what fun is about. Like fireworks.

Ultimately, however, Shredder's Revenge is a solid game, to say the very least. Whether you're new to TMNT or to brawlers or experienced with one or both, whether you're looking to play it solo or with five other players, whether you want to run through Arcade mode or tackle Story mode, there's plenty to love here. This is a lovingly crafted and very well put together game that is not only an excellent and nostalgic callback a bygone era, but also a great experience in its own right that modernizes very smartly in all the ways that it should.

Game feels off. Overrated due to nostalgia and lack of decent games lately.

The hits and combos don't feel like they have a lot of impact. The stages are mostly empty. It is shallow compared to Streets of Rage 4.

It's a good throwback to the Konami games, but the challenges, the stage lengths, pacing and balance is all over the place.

I can play brawlers for hours on end and this one feels tedious quickly.

Then it is like the old TMNT games. Which seems appropriate. They were pretty simple, accessible brawlers.

Story mode seems to not let you exit/save from the overworld (had to force shut via PS menu), but it routinely auto-saves.

Mundane nostalgia trip that overwears it's welcome, before getting rewarded with unlocks or content. It's a decent game that is closer to being done to death already, rather than a new take on the genre.

Multiplayer party game more than a worthwhile time playing solo.

Streets of Rage or River City Girls did it better.

I can't help but think that what you are saying here was already exactly the same with the older games. It's fine to have games like these as well. Not everything has to be as engaging as SoR4.

My kids can actually play TMNT and have fun while SoR4 is too elaborated for them.
