That doesn't matter. There was a big thread saying they block every game from third-party publishers and that's why there is no high-profile releases on GP.
There was another thread this morning saying they blocked Cult of the Lamb, the publisher even had to deny the rumors.
Xbox fans don't know who else to blame. Their arguments are now falling apart with Death Stranding. 505 is a small pub and Death Stranding is Sony IP and yet they didn't block it?

And sony also blocked it from streaming on Nvidia to xbox so if they wanted to block it from gamepass they would. 505 isn’t going to make an enemy out of Sony, they aren’t the MLB lol
Even if by some chance they found a legal loophole in the contract that allowed it, do you realize how bad that would be for their business to go against a platform holder? A lot of people project a weird narrative that sony is being bullied by these small publishers or they’re doing the bullying

There are plenty of people that are thinking this and saying it. That’s nonsense. You can argue no one on NeoGaf feels that way, I would disagree, but if you have an opened Twitter and looked at this trending it’s a very organic and non-ethereal ghost. Plenty of people are doing this and acting as if they loved it from the get-go and it had to do with something other than what it actually had to do with. Maybe that’s not your opinion, but it definitely exists. It isn’t only about you.

505 has the publishing rights for the game, they would have signed any hypothetical contract with MS. I reckon the game could have come to PC GP much sooner, there might have been similar timed deals to block it coming to other services. Sony very likely has nothing to do with this, they might have tried but it didn't work. We literally can't say one way or another in this specific example.

Can you show some evidence? Did you look at their post history and saw they hated it before.
Because this is about people who said it was shit before GP and now finds it great only because it hits the service.
It's a bold claim, and I'd like to know how you keep track record on it.

In favor of those claims, Microsoft made that public in legal documents. Against those claims there isn't anything more than some games releasing on Gamepass and people showing that as concrete evidence.
How everyone takes one side or the other seems to depend on your favorite plastic box because nobody has enough evidence to claim it is or it isn't happening. Which seems exactly to be your case

To all the Death Stranding naysayers out there I say - Just imagine for a second, a game that performs well, has no microtransactions and tries something different.
For anyone who enjoys dedicating a lot of their time to video games, it is your duty to play a few hours of this. You don't have to love it or hate it, you just need to go for a walk with a package or two and reflect on this weird thing that got made. Then afterwards you can return to our bleak existence of the same old games, the same old headlines, the same old exasperated sigh followed by pointing at something and calling it cringe.

I remember the discussion on Death Stranding prettty well, and dont think there was any line in the sand between console warriors. It was just a very divisive game that a lot of folks didnt get on with and some people loved it a lot. Like an either you get it or you dont kind of situation.
And the ones who didnt get it were very vocal about it.

I don't own any console and the only good thing i have to say about the game is that the Rick&Morty commercial was great.
