Call of Duty domination is real, even for free-to-play with Warzone 2.0 it tops the charts. Makes me wonder if Sony made a mistake with not working with Activision to release a VR COD. That may have had been the system seller they needed.

God of War topped PS5 for both NA and Europe so I would say that next gen was were most GOW sales went to despite the large install base of PS4's out there, that's a good sign for software sales.

Sonic Frontiers has appeared on multiple charts which makes me wonder how much it's actually selling. If they passed 1 million Sega would have said something so it's still not there yet, but it does look to be among the fastest selling of recent Sonic releases, perhaps the past ten years.

People are still buying GTAV.

PSVR is led by Beat Saber in NA, and Super Hot followed by Beat Saber in Europe, seems that there hasn't been any real shifts approaching the launch of PSVR2. I was expecting PSVR1 to gain a surge from the recent announcements for a few games. I am surprised to see how high Creed VR is however.

So glad GOW Ragnarok is outselling COD on the PS5. I guess overall, GOW sells better than COD if we count both PS5 and PS4 sales.

GOW is now a beast of a franchise for Sony.

I don't think that's the case since GOW seems to be slanted in sales toward next gen, while COD is selling loads on last gen and current gen. I would say based on the record sales reports PS4 MWII has a pretty big gap from GOW.

But in either case MWII will likely sell over 20M copies as usual for a successful COD. I do think GOW has a chance to pass that as well, but it will take longer to do, maybe 2024, end of 2023 at the earliest imo.

Sonic doing well is amazing! Bet it will handily outsell Generations and maybe even get near Heroes levels.

Not full latest list and missing PSVR.

Doubt it, it's doing better than the last 10 years of Sonic games but those were a low bar.

Sonic Generations was the most pre-ordered Sonic game in history at the time, and sold over 1.6 million from Nov 1st 2011 through Jan 2012 and then sales slowed down. Which is usually how Sonic games sell a big boost at the start if marketed and hyped right and then it's slow long-term, or it starts slow then picks up and stagnates long-term.

One of the reasons why Sonic Heroes levels has been unobtainable so far. We will have to see next month if there's any real legs to Sonic Frontiers in the US, Euro charts were that hot, and Japan was barely a blip. We will have to see if there's growth in the US and Europe next month.

Well preorders don't say much. Most preordered but nowhere near the sells of other 3D games prior. It will just depend on legs, I agree.

Gaf told me no one cared for this game since the first weekend it was out...this is weird.

Click the link, it's not missing anything.
Your link references the page in that old thread.

Sony has revealed the most downloaded PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, and free-to-play titles from the PlayStation Store during the month of November.

I also said it sold 1.6 Million in less than 3 months which you skipped over but yes, we need to see growth and legs because doing better than Forces, Boom, and Lost World isn't exactly setting anything on fire. Considering how many systems it launched in and the confidence (and hubris) of the leading man behind the game who created some genuine hype, we need to see if that hype will translate to long-term sales growth.

A good sign is if we here about Sega even just SHIPPING a million by jan or feb. That would already put it while behind Generations, ahead of any other Sonic game in the last 10 years by a mile, and there may be something there.
