So on the latest Xbox Two podcast, Jeff Grubb has said that Starfield should release in June and that it's a fairly good chance that Hellblade 2 will release in 2023 as well.
If it's true and Hellblade 2 drops this year as well, it would be a massive year.

Starfield is the end of year, holiday title to sell consoles. They aren't gonna release it a month after RedFall either.

Doubt Hellblade is ready for 2023...and if it is, itd be right by Starfield at year end which isn't great either. Id see that as a February/March title in 2024.

If you follow the Hellblade team on IG, you'll see that Tameem Antoniades began a month long vacation at a gorgeous compound in South Africa, 2 weeks ago.

Obviously, he (the director) can't do that in the middle of a dev cycle so it's safe to assume he's rewarding himself and decompressing before he gets back to work on Project Mara (which they've been doing mo-cap for recently).

So yeah, I believe this is 2023 for sure.

I'm surprised none of the haters here noticed the director on vacation and started a thread called "Hellblade 2 director seemingly abandons team for a month; troubled development??"

I can see it but if MS hits all the dates of Redfall, Starfield, Hellblade after hi fi in janurary it would be an all time year for a publisher...do I expect MS to have an all time year after failing to deliver time and time? We knew that when MS said Starfield would release in first half of 2023. Not exactly a revelation there, Grubb. Plenty of time for MS to push the game to the fall or later. And I hope they do if it isn't ready. Microsoft cannot afford a Cyberpunk 2077 situation.

Inevitably one, two or possibly even all 3 will be pushed back out of that June window. Lot of chatter during the Game Awards that Blizzard developers themselves were unclear how the game was going to be finished in time for June.

And Starfield being still not dated now that we’re in February, really doesn’t bode well for hitting that “first half 2023” target we got for it last year.

That would be fucking awesome. But only if Starfield is ready, I truly would not care if it’s delayed to holiday 2023 if it needs a bit more time. I’m really hoping to see Hellblade 2 at their summer showcase.

HiFi Rush, Redfall, Forza, Starfield, Hellblade 2 that’s an awesome year for Xbox.

Throw in Tears of the Kingdom, Spider Man 2 and probably a few more I can’t think of right now and it’s looking to be a GOAT tier year for gaming.
