On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.

In case you haven't grabbed any of the games currently available in the PS Plus Library, here's what you can download while still have a few months left on the clock:

  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Bloodborne
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • God of War
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Monster Hunter World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
  • Until Dawn

When they announced this I assumed it would be a few months thing, didn't expect it to last this long. You can still redeem everything and continue to play once the collection goes away.

Not sure what it hurts keeping this.
The PS5 install base is probably going to double by the end of the year, I'm guessing it is getting expensive the more consoles they sell.

This is the PS5 launch collection.
I suppose it has been 2 years
I feel like it's only going away now that sales have caught up to what it would've probably been in the first year anyway. No could reliably get them for 2 years and up until 2-3 months ago the idea of just walking into a store was laughable

Im such a fanboy i owned all the Sony games on this list so it was useless to me anyway. I think Crash and Monster Hunter were the only games i actually didnt own.

I think I've already claimed them all, but I'll have to check tonight.

Sucks that it's ending, but damn, what an awesome deal; especially for those who hadn't played many of the titles.

Well that sucks. Not for me personally, but always felt like this was a cool gesture for new PS gamers. Agree with GHG GHG that they should have kept the first party games at the very least.

You can only redeem them on a PS5, right?
Yeah they are only available on the PS5.

I downloaded bloodborne and crash but for the most part I just stayed away. Not a fighting or FPS fan so I skipped alot of it.

Lots of these games are "ancient". The Call of duty and battlefield versions are old. Figure the contract was up on lots of those games plus some are Activision games.

I'd say maybe we'll get replacements; I thought they'd change the games more often but 2 years is a great time to refresh the list ESPECIALLY since Ps5s can be found easily in the wild

Its a great game selection for new PS5 owners with a basic PS+ sub. Not bad that has been up for more than 2 years now and only Persona 5 left from the collection a few months ago.

I don't think you should get hopeful for replacements. This was a sweetener for buying PS5 when the games weren't ready. That incentive is gone now that so many games are out / coming out. And Sony wants to see more second and third tier subs, which they will put a lot of these games in (if not already).

One note on the ancient games. The Sony first party games were patched for 60 FPS. Not the same as remasters, but Days Gone (etc) with no hiccups and fast travel was phenomenal on PS5 IMO.

Yes, but I wonder if you can redeem them through the browser?
I don’t think so. I just tried, couldn’t figure out how, so I just went to my ps5 and redeemed the ones I didn’t yet. Took like 2 minutes. The whole point of this thing was that it was a benefit to ps5 owners so I guess it makes sense you need a ps5 to redeem.

Sony: "We will be ending the collection in May, but will be offering 2 permanent PS Exclusives forever! Knack and Knack 2."

:messenger_tears_of_joy: It'll be like that fucking U2 album a couple years ago that was just automatically downloaded to people's devices. You wake up and the only games on your hard drive are Knack 1 and 2.

why are they doing that

To sell us remasters in three years.

It's some of their games...why? But it was an incentive to buy ps5 and they don't need the incentive anymore. I'd keep it up just for good will.

Played and beaten every game on that list apart from Fallout 4. Which never appealed to me, personally.
If you like exploration Fallout 4 is great. Story is forgetable, but i had a great time exploring the world and building my settlement.

Probably because royalty agreements are expiring and they don't want to keep paying to give free access to games they don't control rights to. Also they probably want people to actually buy the games they do have rights to now that there are enough games to support sales of PS5 without those games.
Not free since you need PS+...

Those games are available on plus second tier so it’s kinda whatever.
Except for:
- Battlefield 1
- Call of Duty: Black Ops III
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
- Monster Hunter World
- Ratchet & Clank
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
Ratchet PS4 in particular is a rather strange omission from PS+ Extra, given that it's a big first-party title.

I think they want you to subscribe to tier 2 of PS+. These games are available there.

Probably getting rid of that and all that will be on ps now as ps5 games will be on there. I know Sony has AMD hardware but I think they should join up with Nvidia with gforce NOW and have pc games on ps5
