The Steam Spring Sale start times around the world are 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/5 p.m. GMT on March 16. Keep in mind that clocks in the US are now in summer time-saving mode, so whereas this would normally be 6 p.m. for UK Steam users, it's been effectively moved up an hour by the US clocks going forward.

Happy Birthday Steam Deck! In celebration of a successful first year (of many more to come!) Steam Deck is 10% off from now until the end of the Steam Spring Sale on March 23 at 10am Pacific.

I've had my eye on Nier Automata. I'm currently watching the anime and really enjoying it. I once tried the game and the first tutorial boss made me rage quit. Should I give the game another try (is the entire game that hard?!) or should I just continue watching the anime? I see that the game doesn't seem to go on sale that often...

I mean ... it's not like it gets easier than the tutorial.

My daughter loves her Deck, and I must admit I kinda want one now too lol, but 10 percent off isn't quite enough for me yet. Once it gets to the 25% realm, I'll grab me one. For now, I'll just play my daughter's when she's on her Switch or Xbox lol.

Some of the games I have my eyes on, all very high user scores. Cheapest price yet on Cult of the Lamb.

Cult of the Lamb is a great game but I feel like it's kinda misleading for it to be touted as a roguelite so much. There's just not much replayability imo. I'm sure you've seen gameplay though and if you like what you see, you'll have a good time.

$359 for a Steamdeck is actually a spectacular deal. The 64GB version is the sweet spot...pick up a 256GB SSD from Amazon for cheap and swap it in.

Almost tempted to pick one up for my brother as a gift.

I really feel like I need to buy a PC game or two....I bought and built this PC last September, and spent...maybe $1500 on all the parts, and I've BARELY used it for gaming. I need some cool single player games, but I always end up just playing on consoles. Admittedly I've always been more of a console gamer, but geez...I hate that I wasted money on something I never use.

Almost tempted to pick one up for my brother as a gift.
I wish I had a brother like you...

Well, maybe it's time my Wishlist and I had a "come to Jesus" meeting tonight. I just keep adding stuff to it with no intention to buy most of the games unless they're 5-10 bucks, and without flash sales there just isn't much hope of that these days, especially from bigger publishers. SE has all of those A/AA games they made in the past few years, and they seem determined not to let them drop below $30. I'd jump in at $20 for like Star Ocean, Harvestella/Valkyrie Elysium/Tactics Ogre etc.

Still pisses me off that Valkyrie Elysium straight up didn't give us the remaster of Lenneth, and you can only get it on Playstation.

That's exactly how my wishlist operates, lol. Waiting for the magical 5-10 USD.

Danganrompa collection for $25 - worth it or nay?
I played through the first one and couldn't put it down. It's the reason I keep trying (and usually don't click with) other VN games. Never played much of 2 and none of 3. 2 was very similar to the first game, just never had time to really sit down and play it.

Probably one of my favorites but you're going to be in for a rude awakening if you've only been playing the genre casually.

Then buy it off a third party site. Valve doesn’t set the prices.
I already do. The only things that I've bought directly from Steam in the past few years are DLCs which are not available from third parties.

I stand by my statement that steam sales suck overall lately but there is actually a good one that might be a pricing error since it's not in third party resellers.
The bundle is a whooping 91% off and is cheaper than the base game by itself that's pictured in the link here. It doesn't include the yet to be released season 2 but it's still a nice deal.

EDIT: Too late now. They fixed the pricing error.

This is my first steam spring sale, and damn im overwhelmed by choice! I played many of these games on consoles, but id love to see them maxed out on my 4090 rig
Truly your first sale is always the best sale. You'll see the really great deals that most people on steam for a while will have already purchased. Nothing feels as good as those sub $5 AAA games from previous gens, if you have interest in them.

Don't forget to check sites like gg.deals and isthereanydeal.com to see what comparative historical lows were on the game prices. It's less of a problem since Steam stopped allowing people to drastically raise their game's price before a sale and then deep discount it for the usual/actual price.

I couldn’t resist anymore and bought a Steam Deck. Too good to pass up.
Welcome to the party.

Grabbed some games sorted by high user ratings. Instead of scraping the 75-80% barrel.
Dave the Diver is still in a very successful Early Access, so 20% off is plenty.

Donut Dodo looks like a cross between Donkey Kong Jr and Popeye. Pretty damn cool.
