Neo - coach, Wilson played rope a dope with Columbus. Made it look like Gustavsson would start all day and then throws Scrivens in there. They thought they'd get to face a tired goalie, but well the goaltending machine in Leafland pops out another stud.

Happy for Pavelic to get his first shutout as a Jet. Worried about our defence though, as we are missing like 5 guys now, plus our solid backup goalie, Mason.

Man though... are Islanders games always this empty? For a team that was such a powerhouse in the early 80's to be so... derelict, is sad.

Next up, The Devils on Saturday. Jets are 3-1 on this road trip thus far. Not bad.

And while Cleary may have "scored" our goal tonight, if we had anyone with even mediocre scoring ability in his spot that guy would have 10 goals on the season. No one misses more prime scoring chances than him.

Gunnarsson is so solid. Made 2 or 3 really smart first passes that turned into clean breakouts in that last period and some had good stick checks at our own blue line. Schenn c'moon

Well the Hawks for the past few seasons, hell they didn't really factor into my "hate" list till the 09 playoffs. Right now my "hate" is reserved for certain Oilers fans. That however, might have more to do with the fact that I live in Edmonton right now lol My ultimate hate is reserved for Toronto though, fuck'em :(

I don't get it. There's ZERO rivalry there and yet ALL you Vancouver fans in this thread hate the Leafs. Is it because you guys feel isolated out there on the West Coast? Is it the red-headed stepchild syndrome?

We honestly don't give a fuck about your team.

Yeah man, fuck divisional rivals! An Eastern Conference team that you face once a year and has little to no direct impact on your end of season record should definitely be hated above all!

I'd seriously take a run at Weber/Suter and Parise during the off-season.

Lidstrom, Hudler, Bertuzzi, Holmstrom will all be gone. That frees up a lot of money, especially with the 5 mil we have now under the cap and the potential for it go up another 1-2 mil. You replace Hudler with Nyquist, Homer with Tatar/Mursak, sign Parise to take over Bert's spot and Weber to replace Lidstrom.

Most west coasters seem to have an irrational hate for Toronto. Actually, most canadians outside Toronto seem to have an irrational hatred for Toronto.

It's already happening. I know a ton of my friends who were yelling "plan the parade" in jest at the start of the season have suddenly got very quiet and are acting like they were always a fan.

I don't understand having Simmonds in the shootout ahead of Jagr. But the Flyers are the worst team in the league in shootouts going back to 05-06 thanks to terrible shootout goaltending, so it's no surprise they lost another one.

Lol... they're actually 31st all-time in shootout save percentage at .590 because ATL and WPG are both ahead of them. Not even on the first page.

Holy shit, going back to last season Bobrovsky has let in 11 goals on just 20 shots in shootouts for a 1-5 record. And all five of the losses were at home. The pressure is obviously too much for him.

Malhotra has had a really bad start this year. -4 in this game, I think. Hopefully there's still some space for recovery or something. I'd hate to think his eye injury could affect him permanently.

I was going to ask you about that eye... does it look any better than it did in the playoffs?

I gotta imagine his peripheral vision on that side will never be the same.
