No, it's a pun on "hato" (which means pigeon) and "haato" (which is the katakana-ization of English "heart"). Japanese people have created the pseudo-English word "heartful" to mean "full of feeling; loving; pleasant; gemütlich" and from there, in the minds of the creators of this game, sprang "hato-ful".

I wouldn't be surprised if the entire game concept came just from imagining this word.
