Rumors I'm hearing is that for the Bit.Trip Runner 'Trine' one, you need to have gotten at least to zone 3-7... which would suck, since I have the reflexes of a spastic newborn kitten and haven't been able to finish zone 1.

Also, seems the bit.trip beat 'gamepad' support means '360 controller'. Sigh.

lol 3-7. forget that.

If you don't have a 360 pad you can always emulate one. x360ce is a good one. I tried for that achievement once, and I'll never bother with that again.

Cities In Motion updated with a winter-themed achievement: transport 1000 people during November, December, and January. Looks like it's cumulative rather than within a single winter, so you could e.g. load up a save from mid January, run till the end of the month, then load the save again and repeat until you have it.

Hey, quick question. Is there a way to gift someone a game in Steam if you already have the key or does it have to be done specifically when purchasing a game as a gift?

Yeah. I tried again the other day. But the only active servers are mostly bots. It's a real bummer.

First game, I got kicked because I couldn't tell the difference between the two teams. Even apologized, but the dude was a wanker, whined for a few minutes and TK me.

Then I got into a better server, still made some TKs, but it started to click. Slower paced and people die fast, but enjoyable.

Problem still, the game had too much technical problems on top of balance issues, only made worse with forcing people to unlock shit all over again. My disappointment of the year. Its funny how it worked out since Killing Floor seems to be one of the most successful online titles on Steam, not from a major publishers. Same with Warband.

Only if you specifically purchase it as a gift (or got extra that are in your gifts menu I guess) AFAIK. If you just have a loose key and haven't used it, just send it to them via email or something and tell them to activate it in steam.

Just go the two BIT.TRIP Beat achievements. The gamepad one was kind of dumb, like the old guitar hero "finish with a controller" achievements. Cool that the Portal 2 level is still in the game.

I got it for finishing 1-6, but I had already completed the game before that, so could be :/

Yeah, it's a loose key. I was going to give it it a friend and I figured I'd do it through Steam but I'll just send it in an IM instead I guess.

You need to make a vertical strip of red/white/red/white/red blocks. I just did it in Pointman mode to Spirit in the Sky by William Shatner (no, I'm not kidding.) I'm glad to be done with it, something about Audiosurf makes me feel like I'm going to have a seizure every time I play it although I've never had a seizure in my life.

I did mine in Pusher Elite to Deadmau5's Sofi Needs a Ladder, which has a bunch of stop-start stuff. It was pretty fun! :D

In other news, I really wish Valve would fix Steam's LIES.
I figured I'd reinstall team fortress 2 (with the 'TF2 beta' still in my library), so it said "4517mb required", which I still had. Then it started crashing and complaining I needed more space. Turned out I needed 10.6 gigs to install it, or over twice as much as they claimed. -_-

The 'normal' TF2 link lies less (6-ish gigs), but it's still a sizeable difference.

Noticed the same thing with various games with mandatory DLC file downloads, where they don't get counted to the install total.

Just installed TF2, it said it needed 10616MB.

After some more Toki Tori time, I caved and looked up the solution for bonus level 2. Then I felt bad because I was so close. I had figured out
how to make the bridge at the bottom
and only needed to figure out
how to speed them up
to make it work. I had already tried variations on the latter and never got it to work, but I probably would have gone back and made it work had I thought about
how I had one more enemy than I needed for the bridge
. Let that be a lesson: never look up the solution!

Hahaha, the free Christmas map in Sanctum is wild. Santa flying above, can shoot him down to get presents for a chieve. Also enemies with Santa hats giving out presents! The music which accompanies the stage is the best. A version of Jingle Bells with what sounds like a drunken development team singing the lyrics at times. So funny I can't help but laugh while playing!

I'm guessing the costume quest achievement isn't available until it's actually christmas? Tried setting my PC to the 25th and it didn't unlock.

Edit2: For the Kringlejammer: After you've beat Wave 7, start a new game, start the first mission, concede, and the achievement will pop up.
