No clue. Perhaps the developers haven't had the time to optimize yet? I'm not entirely sure. All I know is that the Wipeout load times were unbelievably bad.

Is anyone else buying an additional mem card just for a Japanese account for when games/demo's get released there before getting a NA release? I'm thinking about picking up an 8gig card for that reason.

I would like that If it was something that both PC and Ps3 players could have. I don't want to buy a PS3 only to use this program.

I think that's what my 4gb card is going to turn into. I'll use it to download JP demos or JP playthroughs of games I really want.

When is Sony starting to promote the damn Vita? I haven't seen one Sony produced commercial yet and it's about two weeks away from release.
I really hope they don't just release it and hope for word of mouth to actually sell the product.

The Taco Bell commercial is all over the radio and TV. Marketing has ramped up in retail.

I don't consider the Taco Bell commercials ads for the Vita. Those commercials are for people who already know what a Vita is.

What about some ads that actually talk about the device and the games that you can play on it.

I was going to get it because OMG PIKMIN, but most impressions say that there isn't much strategy and that the game never really fleshes out. It's a shame too because a Pikmin-like game is one of the first things I wished for when the NGP was announced. I guess I'll just wait for Little King's Story to come out.

They had an ad for the Xperia during the SB. It was god awful. Something to do with sewed on thumbs.

But if there is no ad for the Vita this year during the SB then I'm just going to say Sony is just sending the thing out to die. The Taco Bell ad is a joke.

imo, Sony's new marketing team needs to come up with something creative to sell the Vita.

I feel there is a lack of promotion too, but when I walk into most stores, there are pretty big signs about it, it just doesn't feel quite like their trying too hard anyways.

Just went out around my area and there were ads for Vita everywhere. Best Buy had the employee with the Vita around his neck walking around and getting people to play while signs were up. Gamestop had a gigantic sign in the front window advertising the Vita. You could see it from across the street.

Dropped by BestBuy during my Sunday shopping run and got to hold the Vita for a few minutes. I love it! Screen is great and it is so light and I like the analog sticks.

Now that I held it in my hands I am not as anxious about the 15th, and am seriously thinking to change my preorder to the $299 3G bundle on the 22nd instead.

Love this. I wonder if the pissing his pants part is too crass though. Maybe just cut to a shot of blood trickling out of his pants and then logo?

in the commercial they should just brag about:
Free Online that includes party chat
Nice, big OLED Screen
Have a game with really good graphics playing
And stress starting at $249.

I'm going to use my FEB 4GB card for that... I'm buying the 32GB card as well...
