On the next month page of its latest issue, which is on sale now, the mag promises "an exclusive look at one of 2012's hottest shooters," alongside two large bullets.
Black Ops 2? Bulletstorm Part Deux? Get guessing.

Mod Edit:

It's probably this:

Looks like it's a multiplatform game since they aren't pimping the words "PS3 exclusive".

Black 2, whatever Respawn are working on, Medal of Honour 2, etc.

Neither Medal of Honor 2 or Black Ops 2 are "mysteries" and I doubt games of that popularity would be unveiled in a platform-specific magazine first. I'm guessing this is either Black 2, Bulletstorm 2 or maybe a Syphon Filter reboot that has been rumored.

Edit: I took a look at the Black cover art again. Yeah, this is Black 2.

My guess is definatly on Medal of Honor 2. It seems like the most reasonable guess out of all the potential choices.

MAG 2 just seems to me like something that Sony would likely push into the next generation to help build up a library... maybe as a launch title or something for the PS4.

Black 2 is no go. I don't think EA would want to bring Black back when they can put their entire support behind a sure fire money maker in Medal of Honor.

Looking at the wording, It doesn't mention anywhere they're teasing an unannounced game. For all we know it could be Syndicate. It's a sequel, shooter, looks hot, and is coming out in 2012.

EDIT: well, not that specific game since it's releasing soon but you know what I mean.

Is there any confirmation this is even a new announcement, and not just a feature on a game that's already announced?

None. I think the combination of "mystery shooter sequel" and "exclusive look" are causing some to jump to conclusions.

This is what the news item reads:

On the next month page of its latest issue, which is on sale now, the mag promises "an exclusive look at one of 2012's hottest shooters," alongside two large bullets.

Alongside the tease, PSM3's latest issue includes a new preview of BioShock Infinite with input from Ken Levine, reviews of PS Vita's launch games and an interview with the BioWare team behind Mass Effect 3.

Black Ops 2 neither a sequel to Bulletstorm is announced yet, so I believe this is indeed something entirely new to be revealed.
