Jumped into some MP for the first time and... HOLY Shit at that striker!

I'm using the Ump45 and M16 both seem to do less damage compared to say MW2. Enemies just wont go down.

It depends on connections too. Even PP90 in close range, it takes 5-6 hits to kill sometimes. It's pretty crazy to see hit markers after hit markers.

In MW2 though, did you use them combined with Stopping Power?

I would bet the damage is probably similar in both games if that Perk was not used.

I really don't know how I feel about this game. I've put about fifty hours into it at launch, and I've started deliberately handicapping myself because I get literally no challenge out of playing this online. I currently play with no sound, no flasbang button, no knife button, and no secondary. I'm considering changing my killstreaks to just UAV. My profile ratio is 2.2:1 and I only play TDM. It just seems like I could be playing this game while sedated because there's literally no thought involved in being successful at it.

I don't play COD to think. I play other shooters for that. COD is for running around and fucking shit up as far as i'm concerned.

So on the pc version I can't hear anyone talk when theyre using voice chat. THey confirm that they can hear me but I can't hear anyone else at all. I don't have mute all selected and I've found others on google with this problem but I can't find a fix =\

My roommate had this problem and it went away spontaneously.

Am I the only one who wonder about why the game thinks I'll want to re-join the match that I've just quitted out...3 times in a row?

Absolutely. Happens to be more than I care to admit lol.

There should be search options with this game, i.e not letting you join games in progress.

I can't make a new thread, so I'm posting this here. Feel free to move it / delete it as appropriate.

Gameblog, a large french videogame blog/news site, just published this:
http://www.gameblog.fr/news/27499-activision-blackliste-gameblog

Basically, Activision just blacklisted the site for publishing a news post about the fact that Amazon had Black Ops 2 listed for a few hours, and refusing to take down the article when asked to.

They are asked not to come to the Transformers press event scheduled next week, all advertising campaigns have been cancelled, and they've been informed that they'll no longer be receiving review copies of any upcoming game.

There's also mention of a few other sites that took down the same news post as soon as asked to.

What do you guys think?

1. If true, I pretty much called Black Ops 2 was going to happen over say a Call of Duty set in another time period. There were loose ends in the Black Ops story if you followed it.

2. As for the actual blacklist, it's pretty much another example of a big publisher using their muscle to push the media around, like that time Sony blacklisted Kotaku about revealing PS Home I believe it was.

This should definitely get it's own thread if anything.

So I was one the fence about geting this with the steam discount, luckily it's also free to play weekend. Tried it out and well, I won't be buying it no matter how cheap it becomes. Not with the amount hackers running around ruining the fun. Really can't believe that nothing has been done (at least successfully done) to prevent cheaters in this day and age.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but this is my first time with a multiplayer fps in quite awhile and I was expecting more from such an AA title regarding this.

PC version has always been like that. In consoles, MW2 is the worst of all. That game has been plague of glitches and hackets.

I've put in 3-4 hours online over this free weekend and I'll be honest, I don't think I've ran into a hacker just yet.

A lot of people are very willing to accuse others of hacking though, I was accused in my last match.

However, they really are slow to react (if they react at all).

They're kind of just.. there. A lot of gimmick servers.

When the game was released they weren't ranked, I have no idea if they are now though.

Best part about playing on PC. If you're better than someone, then you're a hacker.

I get that shit on console. Everyone was complaining about campers so I won a FFA with USAS then they complained about USAS so I switched to mk14 on the next map and they accused me of having a modded controller. smh

You have a very broad definition of camping. I was never in a spot where I couldn't be killed easily. Get over it. :)

I have no problem with your gameplay; it's much better than I could do. That having been said you were basically rubber-banding out of a corner (run out, then run back....run out, then run back).

It was borderline camping. :p All the same you have to understand that people are going to be less impressed by that scoreline with that playstyle when many others have done similar with a more exciting style of play. Your pretty much garunteed to do well with a defensive playerstyle, is it fun though? Some people play like that just for the scoreline and its like "whats the point?"
