Really sucks about what they did with the story mode. Still nothing on whether there are boss battles or not.

Who knows, maybe they'll wait to see how far the manga/anime goes. I have a feeling Naruto is coming to a close, though. Late 2013 I would say seems plausible.

OK so I've never played any of these games and know nothing about Naruto, but damn does that trailer make it look awesome. The visuals are fantastic, best cel-shading I've seen.

It's an anime licensed fighting game, so compared to unlicensed ones it won't be deep or competition worthy (if you care about that sort of thing)
I'm not sure if this one will have the boss fights? Those were some of the best moments of the previous ones.

Im ready for this game but, I hope there are more of these battles in the story this time around. There were so many missed opportunities with the last one where many fights were missing the QTE moments like Sasuke vs Deidara or Shikamaru vs Hidan. I get scared when I see a big roster like that. I feel it might take away from the SP experience.

Despite my enjoyment of the games and even that ubisoft game, never read or watched the show until now. Blitzed though most of the manga in about a month, which kinda sadly soured my opinion on the series as a whole, so that sucks.
Still, I liked the games enough not to let it effect me too much. Did ruin the character of naruto for though, clones is an awesome power, wasted on such a punk ass bitch.

I'll probably pick this one up over the summer. UNS2 was great. Agreed with what most reviews were saying. This one looks like a treat for fans of the series but I don't think it will draw in a new audience. UNS2 had a great fighting engine but poor(really sh!t) online functionality.

I thought Broken Bond (tried the first one yes that was rubbish) was ok in terms of single-player and graphics and that. But online it really shines. CC2 should have modeled UNS2's online in a similar way.

I want to like it, but I really want proof positive that some of the more spammy stuff from the last game have been fixed before I go all in.
Then again, it's got Haku and Zabuza.

I disagree. The world in that game was large, you actually utilized your characters abilities to get over obstacles, and the fighting was pretty fun.
The only issue is the balance of the characters, other than that, Broken Bond is my favorite Naruto game.

I really don't understand the fascination with the Sound Four. Kimimaro, yeah, sure. But the other guys? Really? I mean I guess if you really want to recreate those fights with Chouji, Neji, Shikamaru and Kiba I get it. Chouji and Neji's were pretty damn good IIRC.

Naruto is amazing. The Manga has been amazing post the pain-arc.
Kishimoto has really developed as a Mangaka. You can feel that it's all going to end soon. I wonder if it really will end with Naruto becoming the Hokage. On the other hand I think he might become it, but that he will die. I don't see him surviving in the end.

What Shonen Jump series would kill off its lead character in the end? I cant think of any, so I doubt Naruto will go that route. I think it should end with Naruto saving Sasuke (how can he be hokage if he cant even save his best friend?), then a mini arc as they both rise to become hokage and related role in the village as an epilogue of sorts.
give me an epic, dramatic and sad ending! i hate happy endings

That has nothing to do with being a badass. Happy endings leave me unsatisfied.
Thinking of buying the jap version, really sucks that the EU release is a whole month behind.
Not gonna happen, Naruto might die and be reborn as is usually done with the chosen one/Jesus archtype but he will definitely not stay dead. Naruto has been foreshadowed to change the entire ninja world/system, he can't do that when he's dead(or a mere hokage imo).
