Anybody bought the new dlc pieces yet? I'm tempted but not sure yet.

The 1st has a bunch of female themed underwear, and dragonfly and butterfly wings. The pic of Mercedes a few posts up has the butterfly wings. The 2nd has goat heat, tiger head, dragonbone helmet and most significantly is the short skirt, off shoulder kimono you can see in the Momohime pic I posted.

I'm a sucker for creation pieces, I'd probably buy whatever they put out.

According to this list, all customization items are unlocked at level 50, with additional weapon effects at 58 and stickers at 60.

I've been using this guide and it's pretty comprehensive guide too. I have about 5 out of the (8 to) 9 max weapons for each character. Though the guide only says I have 3 more sets to unlock: Joke, Master and Ultimate weapons. So when/where do I get the 9th weapon set from then?

I don't know about the 9th set (ultimate). I'm level 72 and still have 8 sets only.

I bought both, but only used the first one for the moment, mainly because of the dragonfly wings ( I made a cute Tinkerbell, and a silly Evinrude). But the animal heads of the second pack offer more choice I suppose.
The butterfly wings look good, but I'm still thinking about what to do with them...

Maybe they're counting 1p and 2p versions of the standard weapon as 2 separate sets? I don't have the game.

Just read the details at the link... there are 9 unlocks, but the total should be 8 weapon sets per character. The "Ultimate" are one of those, I just didn't notice they were called that way.

Yeah it looks like it's:
1P (already unlocked)
2P (already unlocked)
One extra (already unlocked)
Second extra (already unlocked)
Single unlock (obtained through story completion and reaching level 9)
Master Weapons (Level 25)
Ultimate Weapons (Level 41)
Joke Weapons (Level 53)

With the 9th set DLC or weapons the mimics like Elysium use (for select characters only).

There are some really awesome souls in this thread! I'm blown away by what some of you guys have come up with.

Anyway, here are my own creations (a.k.a. copyright infringement) to throw into the mix:

Batman
It4XW.jpg

Chun-Li (I made this one not realizing ghostface pizzakid beat me to it.)
xrS8z.jpg

The Blue Spirit (from Avatar: The Last Airbender)
WYYEK.jpg

I have a lot of fun playing with this one, since I'm not a great player. As a result, his mask often gets destroyed, revealing his face:

It's a combination of some overlapping kanji. I'll have to check when I get home to see the exact number they are.

Have any of you found some of the parts entirely useless?
Like the maid apron, or the ribbon. They're belt accessories, but you can't wear any skirts with them because they "conflict".

And what happened to the ability to reposition/scale headgear like circlets and stuff found in Soul Calibur Broken Destiny? It was super useful in making things fit more hair styles.

Finally, why the heck are things so puffed up and floaty for the girls? They all look like they're 3 sizes too big, no matter what sized character you choose.

I hate the floaty-ness of the capes as well. My Batman's cape floats a good deal off of his shoulders in most views. It would have been really nice to have slight proportion/position adjustment for all pieces.

Damn.. I wish there were tutorials or something so I could copy these and the Chun one.

Also, the variety of parts available is very, very limited and theme-specific. I don't know if there are more parts than SCIV or not, but the variety between is abysmal. Makes you appreciate stuff like this more though. Anyways, sorry for shitty iPhone pics but here are my attempts creations thus far:

My Wizard Algol. Looks really badass in motion, I assure you. Because his face is always covered.

iLDYsDRMspgm6.JPG

Ruby Heart. I hope there's a better pirate hat unlock later on. Not even being able to change the gold areas is a nuisance. Lack of variety and lack of perceived customization strikes again. A lot of REALLY odd omissions when it comes to the creator and parts. They add a bunch of stupid stickers no one will ever use and forget to add a customizable rectangle sticker? Take a note from Forza: primitives are always more essential than gimmicky stickers that have just barely some face value. This is the only way I could make the red stripe around her coat, using 4 big red squares.

ibkx8FVmrmdl00.JPG

Sakura from Street Fighter. Not as bad as it started out as, but again, placing circles on shoes isn't as simple or logical as you would expect. As soon as they are stretched over the part, they are skewed vertically x1000. So yeah that's the best I could do for some tennis shoes.

iw9eKJ39vcbVY.JPG

Abel from Street Fighter. Did I mention this game doesn't have shorts? It doesn't have shorts. At least so far. Same goes for individual pieces you'd like, like just the top of a kimono, etc. Again, lots of gimmicky and samey stuff, but a lack of variety all around. Also for some reason that sticker is phasing through the shirt itself and making it half transparent. Don't know what to do about that.

iBUhp7ryLkq3j.JPG

Iron Man 1607. Cogwheel on his chest unpaintable for no real given reason or else I would've made it cyan. Also, placing things on people's backs is a bitch, you have an option to place misc items nearly every inch of the body.. except the back. SMH.

i8jb4jlusiMCA.JPG

Trunks from Dragonball Z. Yeah... yeah.

ip6pzi63Nb9QB.JPG

Cody from Street Fighter/Final Fight. Now that I look at it, needs a severe injection of steroids.

ibicTF9DOK5VEQ.JPG

Akuma from Street Fighter. Half-decent job, I need to play with the proportions a bit though.

iQD7PnhRmkKd3.JPG

I'm only level 26, but if anyone has any tips or suggestions for improvements, please let me know. A lot of this is crude and I know it, but it's too much fun even with all it's limitations.

That's the only hat that you will get. As to your stripe issue, here's an easy fix for you to try, use a red square sticker, place by axis, set it to largest so that it should go entirely around her waist. After that, use another square sticker, set to the same color as the coat, and place it over the red but slightly lower than it so that it will cover the extra red area from your initial red sticker thus giving you your stripe.

Wrong kanji, I think you can unlock the correct one.

I've been spending so much time in this mode, very similar to when SCIV came out.

I love recreating my own original characters, plus making new ones. There needs to be way more clothing pieces though, especially for the male CaS.

Ah, why didn't I think of that! Thanks a lot for the help!

Gonna tweak some stuff now.

EDIT: Unfortunately, you can't place the red area vertically low enough to make the stripe =[

Thanks guys ! Next time I'll try to post Mitsurugi (1p costume from Soul Blade) and Seung Mina's father, Han Myong (right now he looks more like Lau from VF, so I have to boot up my SB just to see his uniform).

But for now, more CaS retro Soul Calibur edition :

> Seung Mina (SCIII)

My God...

Wolf is like copypasted from VF.

Indeed... I may steal the idea, if the author doesn't mind. ;)
It's too bad we can't register our CaS characters as opponents in Quickmatch. I would like to meet random customized characters in that mode.

I got a few compliments online for my Tinkerbell character, so I thought I would show it here. It's a rather simple and easy one (provided you buy the DLC for the wings), but I'm quite happy with it and it's nice to play her with Viola style.
I didn't manage to make the right voice for her though. If I touch the different sliders it starts to sound weird.

Very nice.
Yeah, I notice when I mess with any of the sliders it sounds very wrong. I'm sure the voice stuff in IV was better.

oh the fairy wings are DLC? and here I was, waiting to unlock them.

Are those actual elf ears? Or did you use colored pyramids? Trying to do the same with Zelda. Mind sharing the formula for positioning, size, and rotation?

Yes, elf ears unlock at level 46 as a special item. That's why it's a very easy character to make, everything is ready-made objects, I only changed a few colours.

You get "elf ears" unlocked at like lvl 44 or something.

I need to copy that Batman above. What kanji did you use to make his bat symbol?

I got a Batman in the works right now too. Still trying to get a better cape and belt through XP unlocks of items and such. Its looking good so far (rotating Kanji stamps and flipping them to create the Bat symbol was interesting...) To get the mask choose the full face, use a flesh tone stamp to open the mouth of it, use stamps for eyes and add horns rotated to make the ears.

Doh, I forgot to check. I'll look it up this weekend. I think it was around 100. 97? 113? Somewhere in there.

Awesome Gray Fox!! Can you share the formula? I so want to make one!

Dark gray blue skin, orange square stickers on the body, skin color tights, full cloth mask thing, tiny bolt for eye, single line kanji for each eye slit mirrored, orange barbwire and a square to fil in some on his back for spine design, orange pentagon thingon back of his head, random minimal guantlets, mitsurugi class. I used the new Gray Fox deluxe figurine as a reference. Hope that helps!
