Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
Both Big One and Angry Grimace are the same to tell the truth .
Plus it not like Big One discussions any worst than some of the stuff we have seen in this thread over the years .
No offense, but you literally post the same criticism every time we argue about something and never participate in whatever we're talking about anyways, so I'm having trouble understanding how you come to this conclusion.

Wonder what going to happen to manga thread when Bleach and Naruto done.
They won't be any big 3 wars anymore going to kind of sad in a way .
We'll read something else. Naruto and Bleach aren't the most popular series becuase they're necessarily the best.

.

You are arguing about the definition of facts and objective criticism. How do you expect someone to participate in something this stupid?

Feel free to change the subject if you'd like. But it's entirely relevant to how the conversation got started - telling people that they're stupid for not liking One Piece's art.

Almost finished Getbackers. I'll probably get shit for this but I've really enjoyed this manga. Yeah it goes off-rails and I'm sure going back over some plot-points, I may discover some holes but it's been a wild ride. Some of the twists seem really out of nowhere but I haven't found many that don't link up coherently with the evidence and hints dropped.

I'd imagine the biggest controversy would be the revelation (at least thus far) that
Ban and Himiko are siblings and Yamato was in fact an adoptive brother to Himiko who loved her romantically
. However,
the way it links to her being more than just a simple Voodoo Child, etc
at least gives some sort of continuity within the canon.

Hopefully this story ends on a good note.

edit: This is also one of the few manga I've read with so many memorable supporting characters.

I haven't heard that name in years. My wife absolutely hates Getbackers lol

I was about to ask why AG got banned but I think his last bout of posts weren't too friendly.

Banning is nothing to be scared of provided you know well what will pull the trigger.

That whole project was my idea, yes. I proposed it, recruited the Mangawari guys, and oversaw the first few chapters. Still my second favorite Red Hawk series.
You beautiful bastard.

I was really glad that you guys started doing that series. Might have missed that gem if you hadn't. Good stuff.

Ah that's lame.

Hardly anyone who views manga online (that I talk to) buys it later anyways so I don't really understand the rule preventing people from posting/talking about where to view it. Like I understand why the companies want to prevent them, but that's another can of worms.

That does not make it okay.

"Hardly anyone who watches movies online (that I talk to) buys it later anyways"

Would you still feel the same if that was the case? Or maybe if we substituted manga for video games?

Well yeah people have to be paid for their work, I realize it sounds entitled but

Anyways, sorry.

Does anyone know when the next Berserk chapter is?

Miura always leaves his chapters on a cliffhanger. I want to know why caska's child has weird god powers.

AG and mystic banned? Say it ain't so!

You guys saved my life several times over when you told me to edit my post. I'm eternally grateful to you guys.

I'm more concerned on how 'shounen' Berserk has gotten.

It's still a good read, but it missed the darkness it used to have. I remember reading some of the arcs and just had a 'wtf' feeling after. No character seemed safe, and anyone could just suddenly die.

Hopefully things starts to pick up. I liked that Miura expanded our view on Berserk's world, but felt it was at an expense on how Berserk used to be.

RRR 79

The pace of the tournament has been good so far, hopefully it keeps up.

I have a bad feeling that she's going to lose the baby.

Damn, and I was going to warn Grimmace to edit that post but I forgot about it while reading the art "debate".

I saw it too, but I assumed he'd edit. Fuck this world

Are there any good battle manga that are FMA/Biscuit Hammer tier of quality? I remember talks about Superior long time ago but I never got around to read it. Is it any good?

I guess I can always start Blade of the Immortal/Vagabond but I'm holding on on those for a bit until I get them all.

I really wasn't into Berserk before it got all RPG. I could see why it was good but I'm way too dumb to really really love the pre-Tower arcs. After Griffith was reborn I really started loving it.

I only read FMA out of all of these, but well, might as well mention Magi here. It's less dramatic than FMA though, but man I love it. Better set pieces I think.

There's also the manga from the Biscuit Hammer author (Sengoku Youko) though I dunno how similar they are

I really started disliking it after all this griffith crap. I hate him for what he did as much as you can hate a character and I think this is all just useless padding.

Superior is alright but not on the level of the others imo.

I will give Magi a read and see. Sengoku Youko translation seems to be dead so no point in reading it

God damn it. I will probably still read it one point in life when I get bored.

As was mentioned by IJ, Sengoku Youko is by the same author and is pretty darn good. I also liked what I read of Arago.

Its not that bad (though the story is pretty cliche) actually so check it out if you can.

Huh? i think you got me confused with upandaway. :p

Might check out Sengoku Youko but the translation woes survivor mentioned is really killing the enthusiasim :(

Sengoku Youko has a clear stopping point (as in part 1 and part 2), so you can just read part 1 and stop there till someone picks it up again

It's really worth it.

That's an interesting definition of "strong female" that you have there.

Yuno is basically 3/4 whatever-the-fuck-his-name-is's slave.

well she did have
crazy combat abilities :p
but yea "strong female" wouldn't be the word to use for her imo and if it looked like that it then it was more of the MC being a
massive whiny dumbass without a hint of a spine

Black Lagoon.

I would go with this but its more for the female that is not the lead
