I will be travelling this week and the next. 4 Airports in 3 different countries. The first thing that popped into my mind once I realised I had to take the trip was... Streetpasses!

Well, you should still try it if you're interested in it. Maybe you're lucky and there already is a small, established streetpass community in your city.
The best part of this is that you're both Nintendo fans. Pretty sure there's plenty of stuff you can talk about.

Keep in mind that you want a Level 7 yellow and a Level 7 light blue for those friggen shields.
Also that you can only hire 3 Miis at a time.
My only problem is that I'm completely out of play coins, as I burned through 100 making sure I got the gold key in the Find Mii 2 Secret Quest.

I've had my 3DS for about two weeks now and I'm starting to streetpass the same people on my campus. Although I'm still looking for the Billy Mays Mii my roommate said he met through campus.
Wait wait... please explain this a bit further. I "hire" Miis in Find Mii 2 and what exactly happens in Find Mii 1?

#38 and on are just increments of 1000 (the last one is 9999).
#53 is plaza population of 3000.
#67 is beat Find Mii ten times.
Hire old Miis in Find Mii II, back out and go to Find Mii, they'll be in your queue.
How exactly do you know these?! Did you really get that many StreetPass tags?! O_O
Ah, I see -- so it's just that hiring 'em in Find Mii II allows you to use them in Find Mii I -or- II. You don't get to use them twice, as it were...

This one also stands out to me as I've never used a single Play Coin to get a puzzle piece and probably won't ever.
Maybe it unlocks if you finish all of the puzzles since by that point, it'd be impossible to get? Can anybody confirm?
The wording for that one is a little weird. What it actually means is that you have to use Play Coins on puzzle pieces and get any piece that you've already received three time in a row. Very easy to do, actually. And it doesn't even have to be all at the same time, you can buy two and buy the third later, as long as you don't get any other puzzle pieces in between.

No! You'll want to do it before you finish all of the puzzles. Once you finish all of the puzzles, there's no longer an option to buy a puzzle piece with Play Coins.

Now I'm very curious if the achievement is simply locked out if you get all of your pieces via tags!
For you streetpass heavyweights, what is your puzzle piece total?
I currently have something out of 305 puzzle pieces. Are there more puzzles that I haven't encountered, or is 305 pieces the current maximum? I've been streetpassing with new people on a regular basis and have yet to see anyone with any puzzle sets that I currently do not have already.

Oh, I see. Yeah, the wording on that one makes it seem like you have to get three of the exact same piece. The actual way is thankfully way easier. I'll have to get it before I finish my last puzzle.

Unless I'm mistaken there are currently 14 puzzles which places the total at 305 pieces (Again unless I'm mistaken).
No, it's always possible to delete your Puzzle Swap progress and try for it again.
305 is all of them! Once you get all of those, you're done with Puzzle Swap, or at least until they update it with more panels (if they ever do, that is).

It would be the most heartbreaking thing ever, I just easily got that achievement just to make sure I don't forget, haha.
So, the "miss three times with a sword" one, what are the qualifications on that? It would seem the green evade-y slime doesn't count towards it, but what about yellow/pink magic?
Also, any idea why my friend (who has a red Mario 3D Land bundle one, while mine is a launch) would have gotten about 3x the number of streetpasses I did at a convention when he was with me the whole time? It's a mystery that's been bugging me to at least a minor degree.

That and the Fifty Damage achievements are specific to Find Mii I.
Pink magic would probably be your best bet, but I got it on happenstance trying to get the "Thirty Miis or Less" achievement (yuh, that was frustrating).

It counts each Mii that you send out, each time.
It'll actually show you the number on the menu, titled "Heroes Met."

Just flew from Chicago to Saint Louis through OHARE and didn't get a single one. The airport was crowded as hell too.
As far as I know, you can but you can only use a Mii once between the two, not in both.
Yes you can. But you can only use the Mii's you get over streetpass for one of the two, like Greymanic said.

I'm on the final boss of both quests at the same time and never know where to use my passes or coins..... :-/
Wow so today I noticed the blue light flickering in the cradle and thought "hmm" since I disabled swap note notification to so I check and it's a Plaza notification and then I think "One of the neighbors but have got a 3DS" but then I open it up and see this:
Special gold pants Iwata. Haven't heard of any previous cases of Nintendo simulating via it the net so I thought it was interesting.
Also last game he played was Mario Kart 7.
