What is Faulk talking about? Does anyone really think Luck and Gridfin are close enough for it to be a question? Lol, maybe is Al Davis had the number 1.

Clark Judge article with a hint of Tampa Bay and Mario Manningham signing up, mainly due to them hiring former Giants QB Coach Mike Sullivan.
They need a number one guy to stretch the field for Mario to be successful. Mario is a great #2 and should be paid as such. If they pay him #1 money and expect that production, Alvin Harper 2.0.

You know these kids don't get that reference.

You're way overrating Foles.

He wants to get more passes. From what I've been reading though, they won't make much of an effort to re-sign him and want a guy who will understand the offense and its intricacies a bit better. I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if they go WR sometime in the draft - I'm sure guys like Barden and Jernigan will vie to replace Mario and you can't leave out the possibility of Steve Smith returning to the Giants. It certainly wouldn't shock me.

Okay, I'll take a shot at this.

3 - Nick Foles
4 - Ryan Tannehill
5 - Kirk Cousins

Best sleeper Qb is Case Keenum.

I kind of agree. I always thought Foles was extremely talented (but fuck him for leaving MSU). He could be great for a team with a few years to develop him. And Kirk Cousins is a career back up, like all MSU quarterbacks!

With the insane amount of over-reaching for qb's that happened in last year's draft, I wouldn't be surprised if he's already off the board when the Lolphins pick.

True, now qbs can be had in the first for next to nothing really.

Edit: Last year at #8 Jake Locker went, and signed 4 years 12.6

Is Tannehill an option for Miami if they're 8th in the draft?

I like Tannehill a lot. Maturity wise he has everything you want from a franchise Qb. His only problem is that he didn't play Qb for most of his college career. It will most likely take him a season or two to get adjusted to the NFL, once he does though (and I think he will) I see him becoming a legitimate franchise Qb. It's risky taking him in the top 10, but in a few years I think it will turn out to be worth it.

I also think Nick Foles has a good future ahead of him, but his ceiling is lower than Tannehill's. He is better right now though, that's why I listed him ahead of Tannehill.

He was obviously frustrated this past season with the emergence of Cruz. He got pushed down the depth chart but then that's what happens when a player understands his routes, runs them better and is more explosive. Mario came on strong in the playoffs and played well but he benefited a ton from Nicks and Cruz drawing attention. It's a Cruz and Nicks game, afterall. Make him throw it to Pascoe and Manningham! ;)

I like Mario though. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and has the speed to be "that" guy but he flubs his routes so often that it makes him maddeningly inconsistent.

With the amount of WR in this draft, yeah. Reese will be looking for later round value at the position but you mentioned it already - Barden and Jernigan are both young guys that should be able to fill that #3 position. Reese seems very high on Jernigan, in fact.

Plus there's always the ghost of Domenik Hixon.
A viable tight end option as well. It's strange to say this but I really think Beckum would have come on big time in 2012 with the departure of Manningham. He flashed at times in 2011.

I laughed when he said his College offense is complex and then said we finally got a playbook last season......

Many of the "Air Raid" teams don't use one. They just practice concepts, how to run your routes, depth etc. They then install formations as the season goes on. Formations change, concepts don't. Work on the fundamentals and worry about everything else later or on a game to game basis.

Edit: It takes coaches like Holgorsen just a couple of days to install their entire offense. Then they just go to work on execution.

Safety play is so much better at the pro level and considering that is the sole read for a lot if these guys in the "get open I'll find you" offenses make, it always concerns me. I think it a a huge plus that they actually formalized their processes though. If nothing else if teaches him how to read and learn a play book.

RB times are fast, great crop.
I'm impressed with what I've seen of Doug Martin thus far. I watched some of his games but he looks to have everything you'd want in an every down back. What is he? 2nd-3rd round or later?

Yeah, I love Martin, first round talent if you ask me. Probably goes early in the 2nd.

Edit: Owusu has posted some ridiculous numbers, too bad he's one head shot from being done. 40 inch vertical with straight line speed. Looked pretty good whenever he was actually playing. Probably a third day pick at best. I'd take a run at him. May be a steal IF he can stay healthy, doubt it though.
