Still waiting to hear more on Warriors Lair...info is trickling out and I had to search for it. Wish they gave it more attention, in time I suppose, but hopefully it doesn't mean the game is far off into the year.

Maybe GDC? They last showed it in CES this year and its cross gameplay (PS3 <-> PSV) got many people stoked.

In fact it was this feature that convinced me the most on buying a Via. Hope more studios and publishers take advantage of this feature with their games.

Aw, sorry to hear that.

I'm kind of having the same problem as you in HSG with the difficulty; I'm having a hard time getting out of the amateur level of challenges. :(

Yeah, the DW: NEXT mini-games really ruin the experience, especially that turret mini-game where you shoot tigers with like, 2 frames of animation. There's another turret mini-game where some of the soldiers coming towards don't even have a running animation; they just glide at you.

Regardless, group messaging with you was fun, at least for me it was. :D

The worst part about DW:Next mini games are that the motion ones are like impossible to do while laying down. So I have to sit up to do them, but I'm so lazy...

Mmhmm. I think the most fun I've had with the Vita was in the group messaging thingy.

The Vita is the very first time I actually felt connected with GAF. Before that, I always felt like just another faceless person on a huge message board. But I really enjoy conversations with you :)

Come on, right when I go to buy virtua tennis from psn it goes down for me. I can download videos and demos but not purchase a game. Down for anyone else?

hitbox feature?

In training mode you can set it to show character and attack hit-boxes (where attacks are able to hit and where characters can be hit). I haven't used it myself because I don't have enough time to invest in the game and spend my days in training mode, but I'm sure it's a handy feature for others. All I remember was UMvC3 coming out on consoles, and not too long later some stuff about the Vita version released including news of visible hit-boxes being exclusive to the Vita version.

Yay! :D

Once I took all assists off on Wipeout 2048, reached the AGRC 2050 races, this game turned into something absolutely amazing.

Hope people don't give up on Wipeout like I did in the past, this game is a pure racer with brilliant mechanics.

I just realized something. If this thing had a infinite battery life, or at least one that was really long, I don't think I would ever get anything done. I find myself playing until the battery its kind of low, and then doing homework while charging. If the batter just kept going I would probably lose track of time.

Got my 4GB card from Amazon today (got it for free for buying a Vita). Man it is small. Wish the Vita used microSD but oh well. First company to backwards engineer the memory card and release a 32/64 GB card for $50/$100(ish) gets my money.

I can do them lying down. You just have to figure out that you don't need to put much effort into it.

Like when you need to do a counter slash during a duel, I just do a slight movement of my thumb in that direction and it registers. All of them are pretty easy like that.

The only one that forces me to get up is the stupid camera gun mini game.

I received my Hori Screen protector and I need to echo the same feelings others have had...it is pretty damn good. The Sony ones that I had were good, but you could tell it was on the system because you could see the border of the screen protector. The Hori one covers the entire front face with exception of the edges near that speakers and the small ara near the left/right edges. The physical screen is covered by the screen protector entirely.

Really impressed thus far with it.

The flicking ones I can do (though I hate them). It's the motion ones. The aiming the gun, or riding the horse, or aiming to hit the ambushers in the time limit. Stuff like that I just can't do while laying down.

Can anyone help me out with what game HSG is? Had a quick look over the vita titles on amazon, but didn't see any which matched up.

I recently found out you can actually control the camera with the analog stick, although that causes me to overshoot way too often. I've found it best to use analog stick with motion controls for fine-tuning, much like in Uncharted.

It is going to suck only having 4GB for so long, but those prices are insane, not paying $100 for 32GB (because when I buy a big card I'm going to buy a BIG card and just be done with it).

When PS1 games get working with the Vita you should be able to download just one disc at a time for multidisk games right? I'm too accustomed to building my own eboots with my disks and using CFW to know how the PSP handled things :(

My goodness... I'm sorry I didn't believe Vita GAF. I shall acquire one this summer if they don't have stocking issues. I wanted to get a 3DS for the Marios and Pokemons, but... :O~ vita!

Does anybody have Blazblue? If so, how is the single player? I will mostly play that, with the occasional MP if I ever get good enough. Just want to know how it plays and is it any good? I played the first one and enjoyed it, but have no clue about this one.

I hear it's good and packed with quite a lot of content. I haven't gotten into it yet ever since the Hazama fight in CSII (?) though. Still making my way through the training mode in EXTEND.

Well, at least riding horse can be done with stick and R for jumping. Well that what I use anyways.

I don't find the ambusher aiming too be as bad as the gun aiming. Slight tilt can cover them all. I just swivel my Vita like mad while tapping the screen with my fingers like a piano. Gets them all the time. Gun aiming requires you to turn 90 degrees!

Fucker is sold out everywhere. Best Buy isn't even going to bother ordering them. Everyone thinks the Vita is already dead or something.

In the end, I'm sure no one really wants to keep playing mini-games that aren't representative of what DW is about; pressing buttons and killing tons of dudes.

I always write fuckin' tomes at the bottom of pages. =/

Back to some late night bleary eye'd Vita playing. Night GAF!

Why would anyone care about Ridge Racer Vita? You can buy Ridge Racers for half the price and get like 8-10 times the content or something absurd like that.

I got Ridge Racer for free as part of my pre-order, would never buy it.

3 tracks and cars spread over a few months is a joke.

Did you get the new patch? Nofi mentioned a 300ish MB patch which supposedly takes care of the frame rate and makes it a solid 30. The content thing, I hope that's fixed for the US release. Amazon says June but someone mentioned it was a March release. As long as it's polished and a solid 30, I will be happy with my pre-order.

I can never get the ones on the edges on the ambush unless I sit up. I just suck at moving I guess? I don't know.

The problem is that there are great additions to the last DW that were simply removed. And in place of them are bad mini games. I guess it's not a big deal for people who weren't DW fans, but for someone like me, the missing things hurt the game a lot. Especially when I'm forced to do multiple dumb mini games every single battle.
I really miss leveling character stats, multiple weapons and weapon switching mid combo, and the online multiplayer. The conquest mode was also better with the hex thingy. The one in DW:Next is basically exactly the same as the story mode. Bleh.

But eh. I'll probably still play it because the core gameplay, removing the annoying things, is still good enough for me. I'll just be bitter while I play.

I should probably pick up that Mutant Blob game. I like platformers.
And I still need to decide where to get BlazBlue. I want the PS3 version because I want to get the LE, but I also want it on the Vita because I need more games on the Vita. But besides the LE thing, I am concerned that a fighter would wear out the buttons quicker - though it's not like I've ever replaced a controller or anything because of wear.

This. Waiting for 64 or 128 GB. This isn't 2003 anymore Sony.

that would probably be Sony themselves. I can see them releasing a new 64 GB card but it retain the $100 price point so the 32GB one just got dropped in place. probably months away though.

yup a 128GB card would be sweet. hopefully they'll get there in the next year or two. Remember, when the PSP launched it came with a 32MB card - yes Megabyte. It took a while for the 1 and 2GB cards to come down in price before the larger cards even came out.

The only DW games I've played were Gundam 3 and 7 but couldn't stick with the latter past a few hours. Maybe it's because it's portable, but NEXT is keeping my attention sans the mini games. Maybe since it's the first DW on a new platform, they wanted to keep it simple for people picking it up as their first DW? Just a guess.

I picked up BB CSE on the Vita and 360, but I haven't even opened up the latter yet. D:

After a few days with UMvC3, I don't think buttons wearing out with fighters should be a huge problem.

So i applied my new Hori screen protector today and just wantex to chime in and say how awesome it is. I dont even notice that its here now. The surface of it feels just as smooth as the naked screen and it was very easy to apply. I definitely recommend it.

Wow, all of a sudden my Near app finally worked at 7 in the morning.

So far, there's about 10 people around me, and the most popular seems to be Everybody's Golf with 3 playing it.

I found 3 Discoveries as well but from people in other countries. Stuff like a Near-exclusive cue for Hustle Kings, a ghost challenge for Rayman: Origins and a Hustle Kings avatar.

It's pretty awesome so far.

I feel the Gundam Musou games aren't as good. When I play a Gundam game, I always feel like ranged should be more important/effective, but Gundam Musou games are still heavily melee focused.
The story isn't as good either. By putting all those Gundam universes together, it's fanfic level stuff and ignores character development in the series. The last one on the PS3 and 360, I didn't like how each area was like separated with hallway-things instead of being a wide open battlefield.

Though I felt DW7 was a great game.
But anyway...

The things they took out don't really make the game more complex. I really think they were omitted just because all the time/money went into the mini games. But at least this one has the character creation back in.

I spend too much money on games already, so I can't justify picking up BlazBlue for both. I really wish Aksys just released an LE for the Vita version as well.

I worry about everything, even though I shouldn't. I ended up with three PSPs partially because I was afraid I would break one. But they're all still working perfectly.

I wish mine would come in already. But I had to import it with my other stuff. So it's going to take like three weeks. I hope it is easy to put on because I only ordered one so if I mess up, that'll be another month wait. I really should have ordered two just in case, but I wasn't thinking.
