Multiplatform devs usually sell lion share of units on console, but base their marketing off the (high-end) PC footage and have no problem claiming it's genuine. Console exclusive developers compete in the same space as multiplatform devs, they need to release photo mode screenshots, otherwise they'll look bad compared to Assassin's Creeds and Battlefields. That's the reality of the situation, otherwise a casual fan will look at an undoctored Halo 4/The Last of Us screenshot and a PC screenshot of AC3 and say the first 2 look shit in comparison, even if he ends up playing AC3 on 360/PS3.
At this point GAF should know better than that.

Toys were not colorfull enough. I'm hopefull from the comments that environments will make a huge difference andwill bring the colors back.
Certainly Reach was an experiment and some choices were made to :
1/ not let the COD success kill Halo completely
2/ give 343i to play with some of the most cheriched aspects of Halo and not let their first game compete in every way with Bungie's latest.
One thing I absolutely hate that's been a trend in everything Halo 4 we've seen so far, Warthog included:
Fucking rivets/circles for NO REASON whatsoever. It looks so stupid.
Why do you have to be so insensitive? It's Braille. He's going to need it when he wants to dress up after he [sploier]goes blind[/sploilrer]. A canonical explanation for the strict art budget cuts for the rest of the trilogy.

343i had a task, not an easy task I understand, but an important task nonetheless. They were tasked with carving the future of the Halo franchise, whilst also maintaining and preserving what makes it so incredible.
They have failed.
The pictures are disastrous. The Master Chief is holding the 'br' at the completely wrong angle. Have they even played Halo before? Everybody knows that he holds it at a 37.6 degree angle, this picture has it more at a 39.8.
Disgraceful.
Microsoft have abandoned the hardcore gamer. I am done with the Halo franchise.

But really, the screens are fucking incredible, Master Chief's design is beautiful. I cannot wait to see this in motion and I really hope that the screens are an indicator of colour being returned to the IP
