They didn't come out with a statement, just people saying they got a full refund. Someone actually returned the CE and got this $80 back.

Shepard destroys the Reapers and Garrus joins the Spectres too so he and Shepard can go around the galaxy like Riggs and Murtaugh, kicking ass and cracking jokes all day.

The ending was amazing.
