Yes, this is my "problem"... It seams that there aren't much LoL EU player here
I live in Europe but play on the NA servers because everyone I know that plays it is on there. The distance doesn't seem to affect the connection considerably.
I wonder if I can switch servers with this account.
edit: NOPE. At least not using the client. Perhaps there's some ninja account management option somewhere on its website? It would suck if at one point they'd lock me out :I
If you haven't spent much/anything on the account yet maybe it's worth switching? There don't seem to be any downsides.

People who shit on their own teammates are just the worst. I understand you want to win, i know, but trash talking them isn't going to make them play better. They'll probably play worse. And the shit talker probably play worse because they end up missing shit because they're typing. And other people will play worse because they just want the game to end so they don't have to listen to people call each other fags.
It's a goddamn team game and you have to work with your teammates to win when you just start hating on them teamwork goes to shit and throws the potentially winnable game. If you really want to win how about just keep your goddamn mouth shut and play.

Despite having more people in the US chat I can guarantee it is equally devoid of activity. NeoGAF? More like NeoGAFk.
My whole second of lag between pressing a key and having the character act disagrees. Have also experienced complete stops after using a skill, which throws me off. That is why I only do PvP in EU now.

Yeah, I don't understand shitting on your teammates. Whenever it happens to me, I purposely want to play worse, not better. I just try to give constructive criticism. The only time I'll dick back is if we have no chance of winning and the critic ain't doing so hot himself.
Funniest trollers is when they say "TOP OR AFK" or some shit like that. How childish of a response is that? And I've seen players do that, not get their way, and actually afk or trolls. It's sad but I give into their way for a better shot at winning. -_-
Unrelated note, my brother and I have this competition going. We play terrible as a team and lose like 95% of our games together. But separately, we win. We're both tied at around 1635 and pretty much will stop playing unless we are 1 game above one another. Then the other has to get a higher rating before stopping again lol. We are using this as motivation to get better to one-up the other lol.
I used to play on the NA server, I started in the beta... because the EU server was managed by a certain company, infamous for running into the ground the European version of some important multiplayer games, such as DAOC and Warhammer Age of Reckoning.
After they lost the license for EU LoL and Riot took the reins, stopping the clusterfuck of no support, being tons of patch behind the US server and various oddities (no blood? Why?! Vlad transformed into a puddle of mud, or worse), me and my friends started with new accounts on the EU server and, after seeing our pings going from 200 to 30, we never looked back.
(excluding the whole "2 hours of queue" drama some months ago)
I lost some things in the transfer, because I believe there was no option for an account merge or transfer...
well, LoL has given me literally hundreds of hours of "fun" in those 2 and an half years, so I gladly spent some € for a bunch of RP some time ago.
@Blizzard: the double account thing happened for every account when the two server split, I believe.

On another note, I was always terrible with Vayne, and then last night after my endless games of Riven rage, I went Vayne to fill in and went 12/2/9 even after Lux spent half the game trying to farm my lane. Vayne is fun when people don't focus you.

The problem is that if people don't focues you... it means they are noobs and you could win that game with any other champion.
With Vayne I always had Legendary or beyond description bad games. No way to have just a "normal" game
That's an oversimplification, since Vayne has true damage, and if I was say, Soraka, I wouldn't have the AD output to help carry a team.
Everyone is a noob when you're at crazy low ELO, and certain champions can take advantage of that better than others in my opinion.

Riot employee joins game, intentionally picks counter to meta, insults other players, feeds first blood and a ton of other kills, AFKs during game, then bans another player. Turns out he has a history of sucking, blaming it on other players, then banning them.
Really it's embarrassing that any Riot employee is allowed to make punishment decisions independently based on a game they were involved in. But at least the guy got his well-deserved boot from the position.

What about when/after team fights start happening? I was playing with a Caitlyn, Malphite, Gangplank, and Teemo last night and wasn't sure who to keep following so I went with whoever looked the strongest (GP). This is just level 5 normal games though.
Yeah, I know about that and actually prefer it. If you think you belong to be up there might as well play against it. It's also less likely you'll run into trolls. I'm just saying my brother and I have bad chemistry in this game lol.

I mean when everyone is wandering around together to fight the other team and after those are over, everyone is kind of spread out and not really in a lane.
Kind of want to buy Viktor now. Makes me feel bad playing Xerath and having to blow two Qs just to clear waves.

Since its level 5 games it probably doesn't matter much and everyone is just learning. But, either help your team with taking down towers or killing dragon/baron after you win the fight. If they aren't doing that, tell them to do it if you are healthy enough and won't get killed doing it. Otherwise just base and buy, or head back to your lane.

Not even that bad. Pre season 1 most games would end around 50 minutes and sometimes go close to 90 minutes. Since they've buffed the minions games end much faster now.

The health cost changes recently were huge for him as a jungler.

For the record, for fans of my basement ELO ranked "dear diary" posts, today made up for my horrible 5 riven losses in a row (2 with quite good scores). Today, instead of feeders, my solo ranked teams went like 15 kills 1 death and 21 kills 1 death.
One was really satisfying, since I was in a lobby with a guy who picked rumble top after I asked for top. And the other team picked riven top! And a guy on my team was like, riven is a lousy champion top, I destroy her with pantheon (which doesn't surprise me). And I was like, rumble, can you handle riven? And he was all, yeah I'll be fine.
And then someone dodged and I ended up picking riven against that rumble guy. I think I got first blood and killed him 4-5 times before we took down the nexus at 30 minutes or whatnot with only 1 or 2 deaths on our team. =D

For people new to Karthus like me, it's easy, since even with the ult I tend to use it and then watch as my teammates finish the people off so I don't even get assists. I need to learn to use the ult early to grab assists.
Decided to be crazy and try a third ranked game in a row -- three wins, 23 kills in a row with no deaths as Riven. This was a 33-minute nexus kill.
I got lucky with the bad elo teams today, even though their team did push back at one point and they got some kills. Wukong was afk randomed with smite during champ select, apparently, but after we helped bot lane it worked out okay as long as we stayed together.
Overall stats from the Riven experiment, where I have been keeping notes about each matchup I play, what score I got, and what may have gone right/wrong with the game: 58 wins out of 100 games. Not as good as the 75% or so I think I used to have, but better than normal for me, I'd say.
I need to pick a new champion for my next 100 learning games. I'm thinking Lee Sin or Vayne, though apparently Vayne is too situational, so perhaps I should stick with Ashe or save for Kog'maw.
