ME3 is my favourite ME game, but all of this ending "controversy" has made me sick of it too, like Jeff. I don't want any ME3 til GOTY now when they can actually talk about the game and I can be mad at Jeff for saying it's worse than 2!

HOLY SHIT!
Breaking Brad: DOOM II Ultra-Violence
Live in 3 hours!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, I wounder if Brad ever got the "Marathon" achievement from Trails HD. That would make a pretty hilarious Breaking Brad me thinks.

Unfortunately Jeff's Formspring seems to indicate what I thought: The idea of doing an ME3 spoilercast has been all but ruled out at this point.

At this point it could only go two ways.

They are rational and think the swiss cheese ending is bad.

or

Navel gazing bullshit like the vox games article where a bunch of people acted like space magic was a good explanation for the plot holes and that gamers are just cry babies who want a happy ending. (which isn't the case)

I want to hear Jeff try and explain what is a bigger issue in the game than the ending. Seriously.

That's the most ridiculous statement I've heard on the podcast in ages.

Speaking of Jeff and ME3 - I disagree with him about anything regarding the game and I don't like how he talks about it, but I would love a spoilercast especially with Brad. He needs to play it and don't care about the bad talk - the game is amazing. And he should try that save creator.

There are plenty of things to gripe about with ME3 outside of the ending. Not that I would personally, but I can totally see about half a dozen issues that would give pause to consider it best in the series.

Adversarial multiplayer is almost always boring, but stuff like the Banjo Kazooie episode was fucking awesome.

I'm watching this right now. Yeah, it's fucking awesome.

Makes me sad that the game flopped though. Game deserved to sell better. Don't blame me though, I bought it!

Trials is another one of the saves I lost on that flash drive. :(

Edit: HOWEVER LET US NOT FORGET TRIALS EVOLUTION IS IMMINENT

You sure Trials doesn't just save to the gamer profile like most arcade games?

Oh, does it? I checked my Xbox at home the other day and saw no save file, so I just assumed (there were dozens of games on that stick).

A Skyrim style 12 hour marathon stream would be worth my years sub alone ;)

Loved the Latern Run vids too, hope you finally get the chance to get the gang back to get that chevo.

Breaking brads and the coop stuff are my fave GB vids.

Fuck's sake, no membership and my bank balance is in a pretty sorry state right now. I'd do anything to watch that Breaking Brad.

ANYTHING.

I was thinking more like around eight hours, but... yeah, catch it!

Will you be starting from the beginning of the game Brad? I have no idea how long Doom 2 is.

Nah, 15th level, which should be about halfway (it's where I left off almost two years ago). So this will probably take multiple sessions to get through. I already finished the Xbox-exclusive campaign on UV if anyone is wondering.

Weren't the Xbox exclusive maps really, really harsh?

I find it funny that Brad got somewhat of a reputation for being "bad at games" due to Quick Looks, but when he likes a game, he's always throwing himself at the biggest challenges he can think of.

I think Brad is secretly the best at videogames at GB. He just seems to be way to curious and wants to push against the boundaries of the games. He's supposedly good at Starcraft, and he can play games that he enjoys like Super Meat Boy really well.

He's the worst at playing and talking. Ryan is by far the worst video game player.

I don't think it's much of a secret. Jeff is better at fighting games and NFL Blitzz '99, but is pretty much rubbish at anything else. Brad is a good all around gamer who excels at the games he truly enjoys playing. Ryan is shit at everything that isn't Pac Man or Tetris and more often than not plays his games on easy. And Vinny is also a good all around gamer, but really doesn't quite excel at anything the way Brad does (still massive props for beating both Demon's and Dark Souls).

Everyone loves giving Brad shit about dying on camera, but mostly because at some point it stuck and became a thing, and it's just fun. Everyone loves Brad though. Well except for that one time when Brad shat up the Shadow of the Colossus quick look by not noticing the giant stamina meter and blamed the game... But hey, everyone has a brain fart from time to time.

What I'm honestly really bad at is putting my anxiety out of my head and focusing purely on playing the game. Ironically, the more I worry about screwing up, the more likely I am to screw up. That idea seems too subtle or obscure for all the people out there who can't get past the myopic narrative of "Brad sucks at games and I can't take his reviews seriously and I deserve that job more waaaaaaaaaaah" but it is what it is.

I know this is all sour grapes and I should just ignore those people but the sheer amount of vitriol makes it tough sometimes. Thanks for the couch, TherapyGAF.

By the way, I'm considering signing up for a one month premium membership so I can watch the new Breaking Brad live. As well as the old lantern run(s).

While Brad's in here I might as well ask. How much did beating the 1up guy, when you first got access to the beta, boost your interest in Starcraft 2? Also, is that video available anywhere?

It's human nature to be nervous. It's the internet. Everyone is a master at everything and can beat any game on the highest difficulty with one hand and their controller turned backwards. I for one know I'd be shitting bricks trying to entertain people on camera, knowing that there are people just waiting to criticize my every mistake. You do a good job, haters be damned.

I'd rather you guys be funny and entertaining than super excelling at the game. As long you guys continue to show off enough of the game to make a proper impression, it doesn't really matter how you get there.

OH GOD WHAT HAVE WE ALL DONE!

I guess we should ban this Brad meme to save him some sanity.

Brad's the only one on the staff with the patience to actually try and master a game.
It's why Breaking Brad is a thing, and why we love it.

Imagine Ryan going for Mile High Club. ;)

It's crazy that people think that way. Even if someone could prove they were better than you at games, even just in general, how do they think that then means they're a better critic? People are ridiculous.

The internet will always be the internet. Also, people are jealous of Brad's awesome job.

I think this was pretty obvious but the nerd rage blinds people. Like when you beat games like Super Meat Boy and play well at Starcraft 2 then I try them and get my arse handed to me ten different ways it's clear you're probably the best at difficult games.

If it makes you feel any better, just check out all the positive comments the last couple pages due to anticipation of a video where you put yourself though a hard as hell game for a few hours straight.

the really negative stuff (beyond just occasional criticism here and there) is absolutely from a minority of viewers.

This stuff are only just below Random PC game for my favourite stuff the crew do.

Holy Crap, I had no idea Brad felt like that. Here's a
