On that note, all of today's videos and audio clips are at the top of the OP currently. While I don't put everything we're discussing there I try to put the major news events up, with the new stuff on top.

Personally Halo 1, 2, and 3 are so different from one another when you look at the soundtracks. But I agree with you about the new direction, I hope Davidge doesn't heed to the words from fans about "keeping the feel of halo". He himself is a fan of Marty's work and he should just do what he feels is right for the Chief.

I really have to say, I am very impressed with the music sample we have heard thus far. I do hope he has a wide range of sounds like Marty, and can really capture all the elements throughout the game. The only thing I am worried about was in Q&A when he implied Halo 4 did not have a central theme, and it will be up to the fans to find something they like. While Im sure the music will be fantastic, I always love a central theme to attach myself to.

Also, I would love for him to subtly sneak some of Marty's tunes into the soundtrack even if for a few seconds for pure musical sexyness.

Gonna hit up Barnes and Noble today to see if they have the GI issue. I would imagine they're everywhere at this point right? Anyone in the US pick up one from newsstands yet?

So am I the only one who finds it odd that GI wasnt even mentioned in the WWU? This was the first big blowout we have had on the game and 343 didnt even acknowledge it? Clarification on some of the details cant come soon enough.

Why you ask? GameInformer bought exclusive rights to get this information. If 343i tries to clarify these information, they have to mention the information and people see no reason to buy the magazine. That's what GameInformer may think and 343i has to follow this. Even when the screens and the information are available everywhere. [everything is my guess]

Game Informer is. I think it's like top 5 in subs amongst magazines of all genres. I remember reading some shit about that somewhere.

Either rushed out to match the announcement or knowing not to mix message. I'm surprised there wasn't another foot note along the line of "Hey, make sure to check out GI for more H4 coverage!"

I cant wait for that exclusivity period to end so many questions. I mean the fact that they didnt even mention GI, even to advertise it is odd, im veering into weird conspiracy theory zone here but I really hope thats because 343 doesnt quite condone how GI explained the new stuff.

I'm guessing Game Informer paid a lot of money for full exclusive rights over Halo news.. and that might even include exclusive from Waypoint too for a bit.
They want to be the #1 source for Halo news this month.
I'm guessing that Waypoint will start talking about the news next week.

Was thinking about it a few days ago. A statue like the Weta one of the Chief holding Cortana would have made a much better Legendary Edition that the Cat Helmet for Halo 3.
